My favorite is when they turn into chibi characters like in Get Backers & Naruto.. [and the other shows that has characters that turn into chibi characters.

I like the "oi oi oi!" motion. If you don't know what that is, it's a sort of chopping of the hand in a little wave motion to get people's attention. Most often seen in One Piece! mrgreen
