Yazoo moved to help before going dead still and looking over his shoulder. "Looks like they found us, brothers..." He murmured lowly. He turned and straightened up, resting his hand on the holster of his gun but not moving to draw it.
Vincent looked over, his eyes narrowing lightly. "Careful, Rude... Drive up slowly..." He murmured softly. "Don't want to startle them."

The field they found was brilliantly colored in bright yellows and red. The flower maiden had not lied when she had said it was very pretty. "Now come on, Cloud. Sit right here," She pushed on the man's shoulders, trying to get him to sit in the middle of the field. "..and I'll be right back...Don't try to follow me!" She said, beggining to run off, "I've got a special surprise for you!" She called back happily, before ducking into the woods, and dissappearing behind a bush.

A smirk twisted at the corners of the elder brother's lips, "It's about time we get some action...Well, this sort of action atleast." He reached down, and grabbed the handle bars on the bike, lifting it up with ease. Loz was, after all, the brute strength of the group.
"Look, It's that bald guy, and his annoying partner." The man commented, sounding almost giddy at the sight of who was driving the vehicle.

Reno picked up his electro-rod. He nodded to Rufus and opened the car door. As he watched the remnants get closer, he shuddered. Last time they fought hadn't been so great.
Rude turned off the van and cracked his knuckles. He pulled his gloves down and straightened his tie. As he checked his materia, Rude looked back at Reno. The man was frightened, rude could tell by how bad the redhead was shaking. He looked over at Rufus, nodded, and crawled into the back of the car. Rude put his arm around Reno and rubbed his back. "It's allright, we can do this. where's you're telltale cocky attitude? Where's the Reno I know?"
Reno smiled. "Yeah! You're right!" With this his cocky grin returned and he jumped out of the car. rude followed. Reno turned back towards Rufus's open window. "Don't worry boss. We won't fight them unless we have to. We gotta find out what's up first, right?"

"Oomph!" Cloud grunted as the girl pushed his down and chuckled lightly as he landed amonst the flowers. "All right, all right." He watched as she disappeared into the forest, smiling gently at her back. Aeris.
Suddenly that strange feeling returned. This wasn't right. Aeris was dead. He'd watched her die, watched her body vanish into the depths of the pool. It did matter that she was here now, because she couldn't be here. Either Cloud was dreaming or something was horribly wrong.
His smile faded. "Aeris", he called getting to his feet. "Come back, I need to talk to you." He took a tentative step towards the bush where she'd disappeared.

The woman was now situated behind a tree. She smirked when she heard the man's voice. The sound of grass crunching under a boot as Cloud stepped towards her was the signal. With her staff clutched tightly in both hands, She lept from behind the tree and struck Cloud's right side.
"Didn't I tell you to just sit down and wait?" Her skin was beggining to turn a sickiningly gray color, and the scent of rotting flesh filled the air. "Damn it." She muttered, and pulled a needle from her pocket. She quickly stabbed it into her left wrist, injecting an odd green liquid into her vein. Her skin began to return to it's correct color, and the stench began to die down.
"It's time I repay you." She held her weapon at the ready, crouched down and ready to strike again.

Having not anticipated the attack Cloud stumbled backwards and fell. Wincing he looked up in time to see Aeris injecting some strange liquid into her arm and watched in horror as the rotting parts of her skin regenerated. "What the..?!"
He climbed to his feet, clutching his side and approached her. "What's happened to you? Who did this?" This was getting more confusing by the minute.

"Don't take another step!" She yelled, and thrust her weapon in Cloud's direction.
Aeris smiled at Cloud's question. "A truly, truly great man. He gave me a second chance at life, Reawakened me. And gave me this oppurtunity to get my revenge." She shook her head, "being dead five years can really mess with your memories, But he helped me regain them..."
She held her weapon out at arms length with both hands, preparing to use a spell. her eyes slipped closed as she began to focus her energy. "And now, Cloud...I'll kill you..." her eyes snapped opened, and her whole body began to glow.
"...Just as you killed me!"

Cloud stopped. "Killed you...?" He stared at the woman before him in confusion. This couldn't be happening. The flower maiden was completely different from how she'd been only minutes before. What was going on?
He moved forward again. Maybe he could talk to her. "Aeris stop! I didn't kill you!"

"Liar!" Aeris held out her hand, and three perfectly shaped bolts of lightning headed for Cloud, but missed hitting him completely.
"You killed me! You stabbed me, right through the heart! I saw it with my own eyes! When he showed me my memories." She sent the lightning towards him again, hoping she didn't miss this time.

They didn't. Cloud doubled over as he was his in the chest and dropped to one knee. Teeth gritted with pain he looked up at Aeris blue eyes full of confusion. He couldn't have defended himself if he'd wanted to. His sword was locked forgotten in his motor bike.
"I don't know who told you this, but he's lying" the Ex-soldier said hoarsely. "It was Sephroth that killed you. Don't you remember?"

Aeris froze. "...Sephiroth..." She repeated the name to herself, and her eyes went wide. A few images flashed inside of her mind. The same as Maddock had showed her, almost. This time, It was the truth. She saw masamune stab her through the heart, and Sephiroth standing behind her. not Cloud.
"I...It's not true..." She grabbed her head, shaking it fiercly, "It can't be! It can't be!" She froze again, and looked over to her friend.
"Cloud!" The Flower Maiden gasped, "I...I did that to you...My god..." She dropped to her knees, sobbing into her hands.

There was a silence and then Cloud was beside her. "Hey, hey. Calm down, it's okay now." He wrapped his arms around his friend and rocked her gently. "Shh, it's okay."
His chest was throbbing painfully, but he ignored it. Voices swirled around in his head, all saying different things. He was so confused.

Aeris coughed slightly, and clung to the man holding her. "What's going on...I...I'm dead...I can't..."
A snap of fingers above them silenced the girl, and down from a tree leapt the sickly scientist. "Dumb b***h." He mumbled, looking at Aeris, "Guess 'Sephiroth' was a pretty stupid trigger word."
Maddock didn't look right in the light of the living world. His skin was far too pale to look natural. Of course, when one doesn't venture out of a laboratory for five years, this appearence is to be expected.
With another snap of fingers, the flower maiden quickly swung her weapon, striking Cloud and sending him off of her.
"Good girl." The man smirked, and looked over to Cloud, "She's completely under my control now..."
Aeris walked towards him, and the man placed a skeletal finger on her cheek, caressing it down to her chin, "Now Cloud, Would you like to see her bloody body again, or should I let her kill you?" Malicious laughter filled the air after his words, as Maddock was now quite pleased with himself.
