He looked out to see his eyes calm. "Its true...but the moon should favor us." he said softly. "Loki..are you alright?" he asked the god.

Polaris let his eyes gaze around the horizon a few more times before he let Loki have his full attention. "Alright...anything you need? Captain..If I may ask if you may trust me to help take care of Loki?"

Nefreous waited a long moment before he spoke, his eyes on the sea. "I trust you." He added as he walked back to the wheel. "And I know that Loki wouldn't rise to fight me even if you did plan to strike me down. "

His eyes grew wide as he watched the man sink below the deck, how did he know? He growled as he stormed off to his own room and slammed the door behind himself.

Leaning over the side of the deck, Abrecan closed his eyes and waited for daylight to come. He was already exhusted and the jurney had barely begun. As he drifted into sleep, he wondered vaugely what the others would do if they knew what he was.

Waking early the next morning he shifted in his bed, the richly decorated room made him feel safe and warm. Soft red-orange feathers brushed his arms as he yawned and rolled over before standing and moving onto the deck, his eyes adjusting to the sunlight as a bucket of cold sea water splashed over him. "Loki..." The man muttered as he shook off the water.
The God smirked at him and looked down from the Crow's nest. "Just tring to help wake you sir!"

Polaris was staring out at sea. It wasn't really apparent whether he had even slept at all. He chuckled softly at Loki antics before climbing into the crows nest and gazing out at sea his eyes glowing blue as he peered around again trying to see if anything had changed.

Abrecan, who had been awake a while ago, glanced up at the crow's nest expressionlessly before continuing the organization of the crew's supplies. He wished vaugely that he could have the same ability to get along as well as theothers.

Polaris sighed. "You shouldn't worry half breed no one will judge you here..you are more useful then threatening so what are your powers?" he asked thoughtfully stating it all without any sound of amazement in his voice.

Slowly he turned to face the ice mage, frowning darkly. How could he have known about him when no one else did? It was unthinkable.
"I'm a phoenix hybrid", Abrecan responded quietly, shaking the red hair out of his eyes to better see Polaris. "I'm able to control my transformations most of the time, but there are instances..." He trailed off, frowning again. He'd said too much.
"You can't tell anyone of this."

Polaris smiled. "Oh how interesting...my dear friend it is not something to hide the captain himself is a full fledged fire bird." he laughed. "Oh..and..he too wonders how I know such things..the sea spirits here have big mouths."

"You read minds as well then?" he asked arching an eyebrow and trying to register the fact that he'd just been referred to as a friend. He stood up and looked down at his handiwork.
