After all this time she hadn't met his mother for a reason, so him finally offering was...a bit of a big deal for him. But Monroe took it in stride. In fact, she seemed like it was an ordinary suggestion.

Maybe it was and he was the one being silly about it?

If it was something she didn't really want to do, maybe it would be easier if they just left things as is. It wasn't worth the headache. Part of him knew he was scrambling for an excuse to prolong it, but it didn't stop the thoughts. "A-actually maybe..." Whatever he was about to say was caught off as his attention went back to the commotion. His face dropped. "Oh no, Monroe we need to get out of here!" They were out the first sign of trouble, and holding a pae by his tail certainly looked like the start of trouble. But no sooner had he grabbed her to start running out, then the ground opened up and swallowed them.

Hortense giggled, batting her eyelashes at Jekyll, loving his response. She took a glance at Enfys and raised an eyebrow, smiling as well before she looked down at her cards. "Nope, no matches for me! she sighed lightly, though it was not to heart. She was just having fun being here with Jekyll, playing this card game. It did not matter to her if she wins or loses, it was the time spent with him that she enjoyed the most. He was definitely out of his element being amongst people, but he is doing so well, the Shetani thought to herself.

"Jey-" she started to asked, her words cut off as she noticed the smoky mist swirling about their feet. She frowned. "Jekyll... this is weird. Is this a new thing, you think?" the female asked. "I don't l-" she then said before screaming when they practically were falling into what looked like a black abyss. "JEKYLL!"

Poliahu was being led in by sugar crystal who had tied a blind fold around the purple fae.
"Where are we going?" Poliahu said a little weary of what the colorful demon was planning.
"Nothing it is a surprise I think you will really like it." Sugar crystal said with a giggle. She had come to this party a few years ago and she had heard about what had happened to a certain fae who had been mentally scared by her one time at the event. So what better surprise was there but to bring her to the party.
"Ok stop." she Sugar crystal stopped and took the blind fold "surprise."

Poliahu winced as her eyes got adjusted to the light a shiver went up her spine. "No no no no." she knew this place and was scared. She turned to the smiling demon this is was her worst nightmare.

Smolder wrinkled her nose a bit at the lackluster offerings, but shrugged and reached for a slice of pizza herself. Folding it a bit awkwardly in her small hands, she took an experimental nibble and pronounced it edible with a slight nod. "Yeah, nothin' fancy. But I thought this one was s'posed to be, like, super fancy," she said around a mouthful of cheese and crust. It was generally frowned upon, but some faun had gone to Venus Day celebrations before anyway and, well, paeple talked.

Speaking of which, something seemed to have the talls all in a tizzy and Smolder stood up on tip-hoof to try and get a look. The slamming doors startled her back down flat and caused the pizza slice to slip from her hands. "Wait, this doesn't seem right. Something's wrong. What's go-?" She didn't get to finish her question before a layer of mist that reached her middle covered the entire floor and then the world dropped from under her hooves.

"Aye, truly is," Selich answered Hanna, trying to keep cool on the outside while internally he was alternating rapid fire from deliriously excited to unaccountably nervous. Finally. It was finally happening. He and his lady were out on a date and it happened to be to a Venus Day celebration. They'd come full circle.

He was only too happy to let Hanna hang onto his arm, one, because he liked having her there and two, because he knew she was dying to gush over Beatrice deciding to attend with a date of his own. Selich had definitely picked up the "who is this guy?" vibe from Hanna's oldest so he'd been careful to give the kid space.

"Whate'er yer heart desires, hen," he started to say when he could get a word in between her enthusiastic chatter, when suddenly he was swallowed up by smoke and darkness. Flailing a little bit in the dark, but feeling the brush of the angel's wings as she tried to hold herself aloft, he grabbed for Hanna's hand and held onto it tightly.

Coraciidae wasn't entirely sure what about the parchment had caught her eye in the first place. Maybe it was the hastily glued on glitter and ribbons. But what mattered was it was an invitation to a party. Parties were fun. They usually had food and music and other guests to watch. The glitter was pretty sparkly, too.

On a whim, she decided the invitation was clearly to her and she should definitely make an appearance. Fashionably late (as in she had no sense of time to really speak of), Cora waltzed into the hotel like she owned the place. Just in time for total chaos to break out. Doors slammed all around the hall and a masked female in a really bad dress said something about a punishment. The mist and the sudden sensation of falling might have scared her if it hadn't been so novel and interesting. So, instead of freaking out, she actually kind of giggled and spread her wings out to control her fall.

It wasn't long after the party had been taken elsewhere that the main doors were being pushed open again. A small teen with pigtails came frolicking in, humming an ominous tune. Her skips slowed as her blue eyes took in the scene around her.

Her face darkened and she screamed at the top of her lungs, the sound echoing off the empty room's walls. She stood there listening to it for a moment before raising her fist, "YOU GUYS ARE SUCH JERKS FOR LEAVING ME!!!" She wouldn't admit that it was perhaps her own fault. She had a tendency to-

"Oh! Snacks!" the first in the air came down and she was once more frolicking towards the buffet table. Without grace she began to shovel in food. Once she was satisfied she flopped down onto the table, using the end of a bone to pick her teeth.

"BOOORRREEEDUUUH" she yelled, throwing herself back onto the table, staring up into the building. She kicked her legs back and forth for a moment, tugging at the end of one of her pigtails before jumping back up. They ditched her on the way here so why ditch her even moooore? This game wasn't any fun for her.

"I will have my revenge." she hissed to herself and the emptiness around her. She shuffled to the side where some stuff had been left behind by the unsuspecting Pae from earlier. Ooo treasure all for her!

At this rate, who knows if the young Pae would ever make it back home.

Applebloom snorted. "Honestly, I haven't been to one of these things in years, but the last one was nothing like this," she said with a shake of her head. "It was better, a lot more fun-looking. There was actually staff taking care of everything." She shrugged, looking around. "Hearts and Hooves probably would have been better than this, this year." Some female in a giant carboard mask came out and welcomed them to her party. "Uh...I don't know who that is but I don't think it's actually Venus..."

She was really beginning to feel uneasy about being here, and was thinking seriously about the merits of leaving as the smoke curled around her hooves. "Ranuin, I have a bad feeling about this," she said quietly moments before the floor fell from beneath them, ripping a scream from her throat.

Jae narrowed her eyes on the rabbit looking fae. She was tiny and apparently terrified of the rainbow colored naga. The thought made her smirk a bit as she cocked her head to one side. "Is that how Pae behave at parties like this? They...eat other Pae?" she asked the bunny curiously. Seriously, if it was a free for all like that, why didn't more naga go to these things? And could she eat a harpy...? She ignored the female that appeared in the upstairs. She was just noise, and looked ridiculous.

At least until the doors slammed and the woman became a bit more interesting. She barely gave another thought to the smoke on the floor, at least until the floor gave out. A sharp gasp erupted from her as she fell, her hand reaching out to grab the nearest object....which happened to be the rabbit fae.

Niraj chuckled a bit. Apparently the pretty fae...fauny? had never seen an okten before from the way she took in his tentacles. He hadn't meant to trip her up, though, and moved his tentacles away from her hooves a bit more. "Ah, this is my first Venus party, too," he told her. "I had expected...more," he said with a shrug.

A woman came to the throne and started an argument with a naiad who clearly didn't believe she was who she was pretending to be. "What do you think is going on?" he asked the female standing near him when the floor disappeared. Curses flew out of his mouth as he fell, tentacles flailing.

"Yeah, buffet sounds good," Carnelian said and gave him a small smile. "I don't know where everyone is," she said. "This isn't anything like it usually is." Her wings fluttered against her back as she started to head toward the buffet table. A moment later, someone who was apparently supposed to be Venus came out. She looked up to where the woman took her great-grandmother's place on the throne, a chill shooting up her spine. "That...is not Venus," she said. The band might be...interesting, though.

She was beginning to get a bad feeling about this woman and the argument she was having with that naiad. "I don't like this," she said to her date, moving a little closer and taking his hand out of nervousness. When the floor fell from beneath them, she yelped and clung to him tighter.

Hortenses laughter put his mind at ease. She was enjoying herself, which meant he was doing a good job at being her date. Even though he knew all her cards now though, he would purposely not ask for them. He would work hard to try to take Enfys out for her instead.

He looked at her expectantly as his name formed on her lips, but she cut off rather abruptly. Then looked down. Weird? He looked down as well. "Oh, maybe some new mach-AH!" Suddenly the ground have away. Instinctively he fluttered his wings but he couldn't get any lift. Her scream pierced his ears, and as they fell he desperately grasped at the air for her. "HORTENSE!!!"

As his vision returned from white and the warmth began to dissipate from his scales, Hjortur blinked many times to help the visage to the prior hall come back to view. From a quick glance, they seemed to be the first to have returned - oh, it looked like another joined them soon after. And was that a teen pilfering through other's belongings?!

But neither of their prior companions were yet here.

Reaching down to grab Kel's hand, he gave it a squeeze and looked at her. "They'll be back soon; I am sure of it."

Kelebek was still reeling from everything that had happened. Had it even happened? It seemed too strange to be real. She squeezed Hjortur's hand in return, and nodded with a weak smile. "Of course," she agreed, though privately (and it was of course apparent on her face) she had a knot in her stomach. She promised Anxo she'd make sure Xoana stayed safe and had fun. After this? Who knows when he'd let the girl out again. Overprotective boy that he was. Still, she had a little tinge of regret for advocating for her to come. Chaos always happened at these parties--and she'd let Xoana come right into it as a naive newcomer. But then--Beltan was with her. That surely counted for a lot. His training would keep them safe.

"Let's go back into the water," suggested Kelebek. "It's so dry out here, and I'm anxious to be rid of these tiresome legs."

With all of the Pae saved and recovered from the affects they might have received from the maze, the Venus family back together, and Venus herself looking better than ever, they gathered everyone up and left Eris’ nasty lair. In the blink of an eye the group was once again back on Venus’ lovely resort ready for an actual party this time. The open air ball room allowed for Pae to dance to a full band on stage or meander down to the beach for a swim. Tables with piles of beautiful food were spread abundantly between both places along with a full bar sitting on the sands of the beach.

There was beach volleyball, surfing, paddle boarding, lounging chairs, anything and everything a Pae could dream of for a party on the beach. If any Pae wanted a quiet moment alone, they could enter the beachside hotel from the ball room and would find quiet living rooms with plush couches or grandiose bedrooms which had all been prepared for just the occasion.

Welcome to the party! It is now open posting. You're allowed to bring any and all Pae that you would like for some Venus Day fun! Only those you have signed up in the main sign ups will be considered for breedings though, this is for the fun of it!

Erotes and Graces, let your arrows fly! Any demis who come along, you're more than welcome to steal a couple of your parent's arrows- gotta help them out right? wink We will leave it up to you how you want the rolls to work! You can compile a list and roll from it, hit the person who posts before or after you, or just random Pae at your will. Have fun with it! Just be sure to quote the person with the affect so they know how to play it up!

Daedalus was feeling rather proud of himself when he turned and saw some familiar scales.

Oh look! It was the girl from earlier!

He had put so much thought into that hat. Okay. Now he just felt sad. Had she not liked it? Was she not in a party mood; was that why she wasn't wearing it?

He could fix that! In fact, he intended on doing just that as he let another arrow loose.

Well now that she was out the cage and not affected by anything strange that made her want to flip tables, she was suddenly at Venus' party with Venus there!

Sedna made a quick dive for under the buffet table. No no no no no! This was bad she needed to get out of there! Like yesterday. Her green eyes desperatly looked for any sort of escape but with all the gods there and other guests? Well she didn't think she could see any. Crap crap crap. She coiled up in a defensive posture and tried to think. What should she do what could she do?...The food above her smelt divine though. Well if she was stuck here she might as well eat something. She smelt for the meat, slowly reached up and quickly took a handful before shoving it in her face. Nomnomnom.

Harmonia stepped back out into the light of day still dress to rescue. Her energy level soared higher then it has ever been.

All the pae around them are finally able to enjoy the celebration properly. Her family worked together, and took back the day.

Her mother was back and looking not the least bit singed.

Only one thing was missing. Where was Tristen? She hadn't found him in the mazes, he wasn't in the cages. That was a relief, that he hadn't be harmed by Eris' mechanization. Two others were missing, she thanked her wisdom that they weren't drawn into this either.

Maybe she should go find him? First, an arrow or two. Pulling out one, she let it loose striking a shadow? Well, that wasn't exactly where she was aiming. A little rusty maybe?
