Psykgi Mentha
She'd never really properly listened to SEAshell's tunes, but that was a good one. Those lyrics... so true. Sometimes the sappiest things were based in the truth of Troll nature.
Psykgi moved with the melody, feeling like a fish swimming with the current, at home amidst her fellow troll - amidst the complex web of relationships and desires and manipulation and betrayal, all of the things that made a troll a troll. Hearts and minds and masks were on display, and Psykgi was all too happy to eat it all up. Her bread and butter.
She wished she wasn't as late as she was, but work was work and sometimes that went on a little long. She was happy to do it - so much progress to be made in the cupcake-littered halls of the Rehab center. But nothing could really match this for her research.
Work.
Play.
It was all one and the same, especially tonight.
Speaking of - her eyes lingered on the drama unfolding between a seadweller she recognized and... two yellowbloods she recognized. The seadweller was Polair, she remembered her from their meditation class. One of the yellowbloods was Obille - she remembered keeping an eye on him on the ships for Flydra (which made him especially interesting). And the other... She perked up in outright glee.
That was Engrav.
Gosh, she just had to see what was going on. Sadly, some of it was now out of her view, but not all of it. She'd lost track of Polair and Engrav in the crowd, but the very brawny robotic-limbed cowboy was still visible.
She went after him with a predatory intensity, snaking through the crowd as if she'd been raised by a rattlebeast.
"Buffel Obille, right?" she said, slightly breathless as she caught up to him, "We met on the Vicious Indignation of the Empress." She tried to cut him off - wherever he was going, she wasn't letting fresh juicy observation escape. Obviously, not easy to do, but if she could do it subtly...
"Gosh, your suit is great! Rugged, but stylish! Nice taste!"
She herself was dressed for comfort first with looks a close second, her usual peppermint-striped pattern on display. She didn't feel like dressing up too much, but she'd jazzed things up with makeup, lipstick, some pretty things for her hair, and some cute little bits of redblood-acceptable jewelry.
She was very pleased with herself, in all honesty.
tenaciousgadabout Target Acquired Also, just think... like... her usual look but better.

Lorata never missed a SHEshell performance if she could help it, so it only stood to reason that she wouldn't miss this party, if only to see them. Even if she didn't have a date tonight, it was an opportunity to support her dearest friends and to get out and be seen, so it was more than worth it. What she hadn't been expecting though, was for quite a bit of drama to unfold in the time it took her to get through the crowd to praise the two of them.
She finally made it to Scorpa's side, head turning to consider the direction she'd caught a glimpse of Flydra moving in as well as a yellowblood. Someone was already talking to Scorpa, but after one squinting look at Static she decided to ignore him for the moment. "Scorpa, wonderful work," she started brightly, because that had been the initial plan. "Is there a problem?" Something in the tone said she was happy to help take action if there was.

Punkie Vielli Someone behind you bumps you and your drink goes flying back into the fountain, whoops! If you couldnt see Sephos something was wrong with you. He was tall, his horns were big and distinct, and he smelled of earth and woodlands. Punkie saw him as soon as she entered the club, and made a B-line for the greenblood. She took a moment to poor herself a cup of punch, and turned to look at Sephos.
"What the ******** hell is that?" Punkie demanded as she saw what was in Sephos's cup. The juggalo managed to throw her own cup up into the air, spraying several partygoers in the process. But this was important. There was a shoe in it! While yes, it was whimsy, and kinda a nice addition to the otherwise fairly boring punch, it was still not something that Sephos should eat. Probably. "HEY!" She demanded, "Who the hell made this ******** punch?!"

Nanogg Breckt
"Whoa, what the?" Nanogg exclaimed as Se'lune's drink was snatched from her hand. That was not okay - that was in no respect okay. He tried to find the drink theif in the crowd but they'd already slipped off somewhere.
The outside world was insane. Who the hell stole drinks? Of all the things to take... a drink? That was freely available? Why? And from Se'lune, of all trolls - there were plenty of better targets, more worthy of stealing from, with better things to steal, that were certainly not his partner.
"Yeah, sure." he said a little grumpily, taking one last head-shaking, disbelieving stare at the crowd (So... many... trolls...) before following along... but not before bumping into the other purpleblood along with Se'lune.
---
Mari chittered disappointedly at her lost drink, but just as it was taken, something shiny caught her eye. With a pap to her child's head she flew off to investigate, landing on the prizes booth.
Her eyes were set and glittering greedily on the bracelets - they were less shiny than she usually went for, but they were nice and she wanted them. Sadly, she was chased off by a guard, but the other equally sparkly prizes caught her eye (though the bracelets stuck in her tiny little head, and she wouldn't forget about them).
Grabbing a few bowties in her quick little hands, she stuck the sparkliest she could find in her hair, just near her horns, and on her tail. She looked gaudy - but the imp felt very pleased with herself. Before anyone could chase her away, she grabbed a random corsage and fluttered back to her her boy... or tried to. She'd lost him in the crowd, but she wasn't concerned - she'd find him.

Sephos Arbola
It was a shoe. It was a shoe with a strange heel. Sephos looked at it in confusion, because even he was sure that shoes did not belong in drinkable things. He'd heard a story about shoes in soup once, but his lusus had told him that it was not an ideal way to make a meal.
These were large enough to have soup in, and for a moment - solely because of the shoe's appealing color and shape - he wondered what it would be like to try it on...
"Hey." He greeted, visibly relieved to see his moirail. "I don't know... I think someone lost their shoe..." It was wet with punch, but maybe it would fit...
But, shoe aside, there was Punkie - Sephos moved to give her a big awkward woodland smelling hug, but the punch glasses and the shoe were in the way and the awkwardness levels were too high even for him.
He looked around to see who would respond to Punkie's demands and saw... "... That shoe looks like this one." he commented, moving into the corner to pick up what was, indeed, a matching blue high heel shoe.
"This one wasn't in the punch." he noted, surprised to find that it was dry. Or not so surprised - shoes, after all, were not to be drunk.
He looked at them with surprisingly intense contemplation. "You think thes'll... fit?" he asked, in all seriousness. Something about the music, the movement of the trolls around him, and having Punkie there next to him made him feel... interested in it.
Or maybe it was the punch. It was very sugary, with flavor notes he wasn't sure about.

"You tease." Cerpin laughed good-naturedly in response to Chiara's playful antics. The blueblood was always fun to be with because she pushed boundaries, much like he enjoyed doing. If only there was a quadrant to sum up the feeling he got when he spent time with the blueblood! But the feelings weren't quite any of the standard ones.
"Opponents, hmm. Not very many people that could stand on our level, huh?" The purpleblood grinned and joined her in surveying the room. As it so happened, two familiar faces strolled their way over just in time. Two surprising faces that he hadn't expected to actually see tonight. Tevini, because she was constantly avoiding these kinds of parties and Keionx because... well, he somehow thought she might find a quad party silly. But it was a rare treat to see her dolled up for a party!
Tevini looked even more stunning than he could have expected. A faint but excited flush lit up on his face. He instantly grabbed the redblood's wrist so she could not run off and hide again.
"Damn, Vee, you look amazing" He said with a breathy tone, visibly impressed, "And the two of you are just in time. Chi and I were looking for a team to fight. C'mon- let's dance!" He dragged them all to the Dance Battle equipment. After the scene with Aerona, he could really use a good physical bout to let off some steam and release some tension. While it would have been romantic to pair with Tevini, he honestly thought fighting alongside Chiara sounded more fun and thus he would stick with his partner in crime. Looked like it was highbloods versus lowbloods this time.
The wild card in all of this was his teacher. Sure, he knew Keionx could fight but how well could she dance?

"She's a wild one." Nucleo laughed as Amonee flushed over Chiara's teasing. The greenblood watched her continue on, leaving blustering trolls in her wake. The blueblood had a way of stopping a room and forcing it into her pace. You could only go along with it. Even though they hadn't talked recently, he hoped that they were still considered on friendly terms. If he got a chance, he'd try to ask how she'd been doing but for now he had a date!
So to speak.
"Oh! Thanks!" The barista chuckled as he undid his current tie and shoved it in his pocket. He noted it's pink color and hoped their moirails wouldn't mind. It was pretty clear Amonee had only chosen it because he liked the color so much. Right? There wasn't a deeper meaning beyond that. Leaning down, Nucleo paused with his face inches away from the jadeblood's. As he smiled and adjusted the collar of his shirt, he found himself looking at Amonee's lips. Made up with a pink lipstick as always, Nucleo wondered why he'd taken note of them at all. Why Amonee seemed different from as always even though everything about him was the same. He was dressed up for the dance, sure, but Amonee was always dressed nice. Amonee always looked beautiful. Nothing about Amonee had changed in anyway.
"Help me put it on?" He asked, his voice dry and low as he wondered if perhaps it was him.

As it so happened, Volkei did not know the waltz. He did not know any partner dances at all. He followed her instructions with a nervous smile, feet stumbling around the floor as he tried to keep up. She was clearly well learned in this and he couldn't keep his eyes off the way she spun and pulled him around like it was the easiest most graceful thing in the world. Gog, this was harder than he'd expected. Demari looked so pretty as she swirled around in her flowing dress and her smile caught the light. He really needed to step up.
Even Twinkletip was doing better than him and the fish didn't even have any legs! Or maybe that made things easier, actually.
"Haha, he's got some good moves! Phew, dancing is fun but hard." He admitted once the slow song died down and the live band started up a more upbeat tune. Doing things with Demari felt comfortable and it was interesting to try new things. But his body felt stiff from trying to hold himself in whatever that posture was for the dance. A break would help. He plucked Twinkletip from the air and carried him along with them. Otherwise, the fish would likely dance endlessly and get left behind.
"Hey, let's take a picture together. It's our first night out doing something fun again. It'll be a memento!" He took her by the hand and weaved a path through the crowd to wait in line at the photo booth. If he'd learned anything good from that dreadful night in the haunted manor, it was that photographs stored memories.
And tonight was one he wanted to keep.

"Poeeeeee oh my gog!" He groaned and laughed at the puns, simultaneously grinning and slapping his hand up against his horns in the best attempt at a facepalm. "Wish we caught that moment on camera... ... wait..." Did that count as a pun? Not really, but it was his best given the situation.
At least Poe seemed down for the whole photo-booth idea! That was a benefit. And really, the longer he spent around Poe the less on edge he felt. Funny, how those tense feelings only came when he was between one boy or the other. When he was with one of them? Completely gone. Being lead away to the photo booth area, Mahmud could only smile as he imagined Poe... well... did Poe even have a mirror in the swamp? Well, whatever Poe could pin Mahmud's picture up on, he imagined that and squeezed his boyfriend's hand tightly. "Yeah, and---"
Aaaand then two of his four least favorite people on all Alternia came on stage and started... was that supposed to be singing? It was... okay it was pretty good, but there was no way he was going to admit to that aloud. "Yeah... unfortunately." Wrinkling his nose, he squeezed Poe's hand one more time and quickly pulled him towards the booth again. "Come on, trust me, they aren't as sweet as their singing."
Once they got there Mahmud sighed a sigh of relief. Standing in line back here was certainly a lot less stressful than being out there on the floor. That was something he agreed with Poe on, he supposed. No sir, Mahmud did not enjoy big parties much at all. But this photobooth should prove to be fun.
As he stood in line with Poe, anxiety started to creep back into his acid tract, his pump biscuit. It made his arms run cold. "Poe, uh... what do you want to do with the booth? Silly photo first? Cute photo first? Which one would you rather have?" Anything to keep from the subject he should really be talking about. "I'm good either way! I just... want to know where you're feeling."
