8. You set up systems to help relocated supplies after clearing forested areas - none of this is going to waste if you can help it!

Back her own and at a fresh site, Tsarzi was already locating a task to fit her function at that moment. The experience of working with others was interesting and valuable, and she had the opportunity to observe a tight knit group close up. Tsarzi wasn’t part of the group to begin with, but more of an outside party working alongside them. She had no illusions of having association with them beyond that and had no qualms about coming and going at her leisure.

It was an interesting experience none the less and with Wander’s invitation, took advantage of the chance it provided.

Lupos had hoped maybe the social experience would foster some sort of stronger camaraderie that would make her want to stick closer to them, but apparently not. Solitude and independence was fine and all, yes, but Tsarzi was very tiring for Lupos. She had to constantly be doing something and trying to control this child was met with spotty results.

She needed to learn to relax and since Lupos’s efforts were getting nowhere, he’d hoped maybe friends could do it. First Tsarzi had to lock one of those down and it was hard when the pup hardly seemed to understand the concept.

Child and wolf gecko lusus made their way towards some of the main work, the deforestation of the platform site cordoned by the military. Trolls were touting chainsaws and axes, trying to hack the forest down as quickly as possible with the ever present grind and thrum of machines ready to pick up debris, tree trunks, and pull the stumps from the ground. It was a rather involved process to prep the sites with this sort of groundwork, but Tsarzi found herself feeling settled and pleasant with the buzz of activity and focus. The ground crews had gotten these platform sites constructed, cleaned, and finished in admirable times.

As seemed to happen quite a bit around here, no one was keen on kids running around underfoot while they handles heavy and deadly machinery. No one needed the paperwork and mess that would lead to. Tsarzi was not able to help with the actual tree removal. She managed to listen in on some of the operation rundowns being given to trolls that were going to operate the machines, but she was only allowed so close before getting shooed away.

It was fine though. Tsarzi was good at labor, sure, but she was good at thinking too. One thing she was welcomed to was planning resource distribution and management, a job most trolls were avoiding. Her input certainly livened up the others set to the grueling task and she took it upon herself to draw up extra instructions and plans for what would normally get lumped as garbage. There were uses for those stumps and stripped limbs and foliage, you just needed to know what to do with them. A number of these things, like the stumps and greenery she signed to the Lightseekers to “dispose” of, so those resources would get delivered to them. As for the rest of this, there were some plans to streamline.

Eyzaak had some work to do, especially if he wanted to get more goods collected for the Phoenix Initiative. Really he just wanted Byakko to know he was trying his very best just like everyone else. Be it in training, or anything the child did it was imperative to him to make the best out of their time around such awesome goods. Only tonight was different than yesterday. At least in terms of the overall method for working things out based on what he could determine. He was helping several other rebels with smuggling all kinds of materials out of the facility as opposed to boxing things up and labeling them.

The large waste bins smelt awful, but the boy hardly minded. This was only temporary, it wasn't like he had to do this regularly. It was actually kind of exciting if you asked him. It was like a treasure hunt, holy this stuff just happened to well..smell a little funny. An adventure was still an adventure. They were not in a place to turn down any additional resources no matter how small.

The young blueblood supposed there were worse ways to spend his night. After getting a game plan, the lot of them got down to business to get the evening's proceedings done before anyone noticed. Eyzaak kept a low profile, mixing between working and collecting accordingly. He didn't want to draw any excess attention to himself in all fairness.

Sundry even pitched in, diving into work by helping them sift and sort what needed to go, and what would stay. Moving the large bins was no easy feat, but between the pair, it was considerably easier than soloing it. The lusus bounced along beside his charge, tail wagging merrily as they moved about the facility.

Luckily they managed to all pass by unseen nor detected. There was so much activity going on it was really hard to keep track of everything he supposed. With all the recent launches, and coming and goings, it made it prime time in order to accomplish their tasks. Eyzaak grinned, all too pleased as he continued his work.

The real hard part came later when they had to literally comb through the garbage to find the goods. Eyzaak laughed as he waded in, knowing he could always bathe later at the safe house and get a fresh change of clothes if he really scrounged around enough. Picking through a mountain of festering trash was pretty disgusting, but the blueblood kept his mind on the end result. More things to bring home.

Pulling his scarf up over his mouth and nose to lessen the scent, Eyzaak worked tirelessly to retrieve every last smuggled good. By the time he was done he wrinkled his nose at his bare hands. He had decided to peel off his gloves so they wouldn't get trashed. Good thing, as he was pretty sure the sound of bathing had never been more promising than ever before.

When everything was said and done Eyzaak headed back. He ha to make preparations for exploring with Wander.

Now, this was an interesting duty, or at least so it seemed initially. Voscil joined up at the site that night mostly carefree with an easy going smile on her face. They had all made a lot of great progress, tonight would be another push in the right direction. The yellowblood knew well enough that they still had tons of work left to be done before they were really set in stone. The future of the rebellion still had a lot of twists and turns. Voscil didn't like that much uncertainty, but with any luck, things would turn for the better. Smuggling goods out with a few other rebels,

Voscil at first didn't think much of helping move the large waste bins. That was easy stuff, she was a strong troll despite her lanky build. What she didn't count on, was how exactly they would be retrieving the goods later on. Had she realized she might not have been so enthusiastic about this particular chore.

It felt like a sucker punch once she realized what needed to be done.

They made it undetected, no one the wiser to what they were up to. Voscil might have ruined it if she wasn't stubborn and wanted t make a difference. Yet the idea of trash rummaging?! NO WAY!! She groaned in dismay, her eyes wide with horror as she gasped as several others began diving in without hesitation. There had to be another way surely! Of course, there wasn't. Rolling up her sleeves she made a disgusted face before sliding down into the muck. The squishing and oozing of trash made her queasy. Breathing through her mouth was a little better at least, and made the task bearable for the most part.

After helping with the dumpster, Voscil had immediately changed Sorine's outfit to a more clean one. The smell had been gog awful, and the girl had had only been able to bare the disgusting scent of hot, rancid garbage. The blueblood kid had been in the thick of it the entire much to her amazement. He was a real trooper, even having offered to finish up doing the rest of the riffling around to spare some of the weaker stomachs. While Voscil was not a quitter, she defiantly could use her time in a less gross way she figured.

That left her on shipping and label rearranging duty. Grinning nearly from spongeclot to spongeclot, the yellowblood agreed to help with this seemingly simple task. Labeling the goods as excess plastic wiring, she made it so the boxes could later be identified as instructed without making it too apparent. Her mind wandered as she picked and choose what was best to do, and what would be better left alone so not to arouse suspicion. She couldn't help thinking about her friends. Was space really so grand? She had to wonder if she'd made a mistake by not going.

Yet her hands were busy, and it all contributed to the greater picture. There was something to be said about that she figured. Patting the last box as her shift ended, Voscil wiped the sweat from her brow as she smiled.

As much as Wander liked working with Tsarzi, duty came first above all else. She knew that, hence all the sneaking. And so, if she was actually called on to do something, despite intentions to do something else... Well, she certainly couldn't say no, could she? As she got ready for the night, she heard a message going around the rebel workers about pulling together a collective effort to get some of their lootings over to the safehouse. Very last minute, but Wander couldn't pass it up. Or, well, stuttering her way through being asked if she was going to go along made another rebel raise an eyebrow. So, maybe she couldn't get out of it even if she made a half-assed effort to. This was why she was here... Had to keep up with it, and being with others she might recognize from the rebellion would be nice! Very comforting. So she went along with it.

She helped her fellow rebels toss perfectly good resources into dumpters, push them out of the facility to be dumped, and once no one was looking... Collect everything thrown out.

But.

Therein was the trouble. They'd get caught if the dumpters were full off useful material, and only useful material. The ratio of good stuff versus junk was about 1:15. So, the retrieval process...

Wander frowned at the job ahead of her. Going through trash was gross, smelly, and actually worse than living in the swamp. She had no idea where any of these things had been (or what they had been, in some cases) and it smelled so bad... And the textures... So much slime so much slime so much slime.

What we do to show our dedication sometimes.

She made plenty of faces, whined, and nearly wanted to wretch as she sifted through, but eventually grabbed everything to be taken to the safehouse.

Another night meant more work needed to be done. Eyzaak was up for the challenge, of course, it was an exciting time so long as he kept from being noticed. The child worked carefully, making his way around the yard and finding more useful crates without overdoing it. He'd gotten into a rhythm and knew which areas were less guarded, making it easy to split the workload between what needed to go to the Army as well as what would be later delivered to the safehouse. Eyzaak wanted to make sure his leader knew he meant business, even if that meant spending more time on the ground level tasking himself with projects.

Sundry kept things light with his playful antics. Eyzaak couldn't help but adore his lusus all the more when he would help him with moving and general workflow. The hybrid lusus scampered over on all fours, providing Eyzaak with another good place to check out for the next shipment. His tail wagged back and forth with a widespread grin as Sundry settled on his back legs. I got your back Eyz! I found some more stuff for us over a couple rows. Less maybe pack up these for the Army to take yeah?"

Eyzaak chuckled at his lusus as he reached out, giving the beast a gentle pat on the head. "Good idea. Thanks, Pal." Eyzaak replied in their shared language. Mostly it comprised of grunts, growls and the occasional chatter-like sound. Like most children, communicating with ones lusus was not the same as talking to another troll. He added quietly as he adjusted his scarf a bit. His gaze scanned the area as he moved about. Eyzaak had spent enough time over the last couple days among the workers he could move about fairly freely. He always was respectful of his supervisors, despite the boys rowdier urges to smart off.

It was his best bet for getting as much done as possible he figured.

Once Eyzaak got into the swing of things he really ha a knack for packaging the various boxes up and getting them ready for shipment. In between doing that, he also kept an eye out for other resources to retrieve. Learning the ins and outs of the tough job had him running all over the place it seemed like. Time passed relatively quickly, fortunately. Finding a variety of nice shiny metal like items, he quickly stored what he could as the boy worked. The metal cans made it easy to store them and would be even better for retrieval later based on how everything was set up.

Near the end of his shift, he was glad for the sound of the whistle to indicate the night was done. The boy had plans to go track down some food, he was hungry! It was well deserved he figured, he had worked tirelessly to get everything done. Walking alongside his lusus, Eyzaak sighed deeply despite the large grin on his face. He hoped he could run into a few other trolls he recognized..all this solo work even with his lusus was a tad bit tiresome. Maybe he would go track a friendly face or two down? He would figure it out he supposed.

Oh boy, it was another night of working hard and from the sounds of it, she would be in around the dumpsters again. Lovely.

Voscil was beginning to strongly dislike waste bins. She was either rifling around in them or helping drag them around an awful lot she was pretty sure. Groaning in dismay internally she set to work for the night when her shift began. She had been instructed to do the job, so who was she to argue? This was about blending in while trying to get as much done as possible. Walking around the campsite she found the items in question and began the haul towards the landfill that they would eventually belong to. Again she found herself missing her matesprit. Was the space team doing alright? Ground control was doing everything they could sure, but how was it up there she wondered?

Maybe someday she would try and go up into and suck it up. For what it was worth she felt like she was making a difference even if the physical task was sometimes tedious, or downright gross. Vos would make sure to talk to Byakko after all was said and done an get a read for the direction they would be going in. That was trusting this mission was successful of course. A lot hinged on either teams work, something that weighed heavily on her thinkpan.

In all honesty, she had wondered what it would have been like to just turn herself into the military and not stay with the Phoenix Initiative. The venture through the swamp had taught her a lot about herself, as had Ephias and his words concerning her outlook on life. While she knew no one was perfect, Voscil had a lot to look forward too. With her new found relationship with Chiara, she could visit the city. If she tried hard enough perhaps she could find Zindel. She missed the redblood, the last time she'd seen him he had looked upset she did not choose to go with him. Not that she blamed him, this life was dangerous and scary.

Would she change anything? Maybe help improve their living conditions, and feel a little more secure. Which was why they were risking so much in being here she reminded herself. At the end of the night, a lot of things were up in the air but still, she kept going. Stopping now would only hurt herself and those involved.

Eventually, she needed to rifle around in the dumpster to check for any more salvageable items. Much to her surprise, almost everything was picked through. They had done a really good job. What she did find would be useful for the sheer fact every little bit counted she suppose. The next one she checked however brought up several more good scores. Sweet, she hadn't gotten dirty for no reason at least. Wrinkling her nose she tried not to gag as she pulled herself out of the dumpster. Another shower would be extremely well deserved.

1.An un-affiliated member of the ground crew asks what you’re doing, and you’ve got to weasel your way out of being caught with your 1) comeback 2) badge flashing 3) explanation 4) various scientific jargon.

Tsarzi had stuck around the deforestation crew for a fair bit, continuing tweak the instructions and procedures for all the supplies being used and waste produced. It was absolutely deplorable the amount of different resources being listed as waste. Waste not, want not, and Tsarzi was fine pulling together plans in her head, potential sues or better disposal methods, signing over with the Lightseekers as outside contractors to dispose of the waste in an eco friendly manner that benefits the environment and helps combat the damage being done by the current operations. The explanation could go on, but whenever she started to get into details when asked who it was she wanted them to give all this junk to, they stopped her halfway through with these peculiar expressions. Did they just not understand what she was saying? She may have tried to follow that line of questioning with one of the trolls and they quickly retired from work thereafter.

Their loss. Remain ignorant of their own choice then.

As it was, she had gained the Lightseekers a rather good collections of lumber, brush, tree stumps, and some old machinery that was going to be decommissioned after this operation. Tsarzi made mental notes to write up all the plans and potential uses for the resources and pass them along to Panili later.

The site was cleared and prepped, the ground smoothed and the holes quickly covered up so tarps and supplies could be stacked and placed. The workflow shifted quickly from ground progress to building.

Among that hubub, Tsarzi was taking the chance to install one of the transmitters. This one’s placement was to be behind the temporary camps, near the perimeter of the site zone. Less traffic there this time of night, but more open space. Tsarzi kept along at a brisk pace, a troll on a mission they had every intention of seeing though.

Tsarzi was scoping out the area, trying to locate where would be the most opportune. Somewhere inconspicuous. It needed not to stand out too much as not belonging, but should also be somewhere it was unlikely to get tampered with or moved.

It would seem Tsarzi making rounds of the area caught someone’s attention because as she was deciding between closer to the forest line or by the inner perimeter office or maybe one of the actual site zone light markers, footsteps approached.

Tsarzi’s did not feel like entertaining anyone right now, but turned to see who it was in case they were lost or needed some kind of assistance.

“Jes what do ya think yer up to, snoopin around back here?” The stranger asked as they approached. They had sharp eyes, a stern, if slightly accented voice, a strong stance. Seemed like someone no nonsense enough.

“Installing some equipment,” Tsarzi said shortly and went back to her thinking. She would want to wait until this troll left before actually moving to the site she really wanted, the light marker, but for now she would make like she was going to install it in the office.

“Uh huh, right, an yer sure that s**t is suppose to go sumwhere round here?”

A shame this troll was wasting both their time. And she was even following Tsarzi.

“Yes, very. The instructions were clear on the site zone it needed to be in but left it to me to pick where exactly to place it. Leave me alone so I can get my work done,” Tsarzi responded in just as stern of a tone. She took a moment to look at the stranger as she said this, earning a narrowed eyed up and down for a second, but Tsarzi wasted no more time on letting the nosy stranger assess the situation.

It would seem that Tsarzi’s demeanor convinced her she wasn’t some lost child because she left Tsarzi alone after that, leaving Tsarzi to be able to head to her actual installation site and get this taken care of proper.

7: You luck out, getting scheduled to operate a crane that helps lift and puzzle together the many pieces of launch equipment. It's stressful and tiring work, moving all those dangerously massive hunks of metal, but it's also very rewarding!

Oh boy, more construction duty. Apibom hoped they were not going to have to deal with concrete again. Even if their last experience had been mostly pleasant, they did not want to risk getting stuck chiseling someone out of a concrete cocoon again. Just in case. That troll had not even been grateful for their help. Thankfully, it seemed that they were not on concrete duty and instead were supposed to be moving a crane around, specifically using it to move pieces of equipment from one place to another.

It would be just like the forklift, right? Wrong.

The controls were totally different, but after a bit of experimental fiddling, Api seemed to figure it out okay. That and they actually had some instruction this time, unlike last time they used heavy machinery. Honestly, who let kids operate machines this big without a license? Api was not going to make a fuss about it, but it certainly seemed like a mistake waiting to happen.

Speaking of mistakes, they really needed to pay more attention to what they were doing. They almost crushed someone as they were lowering some supplies down to the ground. Whoops... The offended troll flipped them off and uttered a stream of words they were certain they could never repeat around Fluff, but moved along nonetheless. Well... at least no one was actually hurt. They waited for their cargo to be unloaded, then carefully lifted the machine again to go slide it back over to the original loading point. Rinse and repeat. If it were not so stressful, Api might actually get bored.

Once they got into the swing of things, progress seemed to move along quickly. Pieces of metal were attached to the crane, Apibom lifted them and then dropped them over where they needed to be, they were detached, and then the process began again. At some point, some kids thought it would be a good idea to climb aboard the hunks of metal that Api was moving and hitch a ride- they did not notice the hitch hikers until they had already lifted the load up in the air. Now they had no choice but to move them to the new area- they just hoped that they would not get in trouble for what those kids had decided to do.

Of course, they did. As soon as the load was set down and the kids hopped off, a supervisor stormed up to their control area and banged on the door. "No rides!! You'll crush someone!! This isn't a toy!" They huffed and puffed for a few more moments, ranting about 'kids these days' and 'irresponsible volunteers,' then disappeared to go yell at someone else that was messing around. Api sighed, trying to calm down their pusher that had sped up in a panic over the raised voice and pounding fist. They did not even have the chance to explain themself!

A whistle from outside drew their attention back to the cargo area, where someone was flagging them down. Ah- it was time to go get the next load. They waved a response, then lifted the crane up again to begin the process once more. This time they watched carefully to make sure there were not any stowaways.

3: While oiling joints in one of the many metallic rods, you accidentally spill half of your cannister onto the workfloor. You then proceed to slip and fall, spreading the mess further. A custodian shows up, takes one look at the scene, then proceeds to hand you their mop before walking away.

Floren was not entirely sure what these rods went to, and when he had asked he had been told to just do his job. But doing one's job was a lot less interesting if one did not know what it was for, at least in Floren's mind. He let out a long sigh, growing bored with oiling the joints on what felt like the 500th rod. He reached for the canister, intending to get some more oil to apply to his latest project but instead knocked it over. Oh no. Blinking, he stared at the growing puddle of oil for a moment before it registered what it exactly was going on. He set the rod aside quickly, pushing himself up right as the oil reached his feet. Intending to move away, he lifted one foot and tried to step over the puddle, but the slick substance was moving too quickly and he ended up stepping right into it.

And then slipping. Of course he slipped. He flailed a little as his leg flew out from under him, landing flat on his back with a glorious smack. Wincing as pain blossomed in the back of his head, he propped himself up on his elbows and surveyed the mess. He was thoroughly coated in it. Great. Heaving another sigh, he carefully rolled over and then pushed himself up to his hands and knees. Once he was sure he was steady, he shifted to just his knees and then reached back to feel his hair. Much to his dismay, he'd gotten a fair amount of it coated in oil. Great. That would take a while to get rid of.

Just as he was about to begin moving again, a janitor troll came within view. He perked up- ah! Assistance! The troll stared at him for half a second, expression falling from neutral to one of resigned disbelief. Without a word, they marched over, dragging their mob bucket behind them. Once within range, they held the mop out, expecting Floren to taken it.

Once the jadeblood had a grip on the handle, the janitor let it go, turned, and then walked off shaking their head. Okay... so, no help. Floren looked down at the oily mess surrounding him, then over at the mop bucket. Then back to the mess. Well... he supposed soap did break down oils. Carefully, using the mop to brace himself, he rose to his feet and then skirted around the edge of the puddle. He'd better get working, it was going to take a long time to get this fixed.

By the time he was done, it was time for his volunteer shift to be over with. He sighed, wheeling the cleaning supplies back to one of the many custodial closets before heading to the main duty office to check out properly. He really needed a bath. And maybe a new work uniform. Definitely a new work uniform. Hopefully one of the ablution traps would be available in the shared dormitories... if not he supposed he didn't live that far away from the space tower- a trip back home shouldn't be too much trouble, especially since he didn't have to worry about the sun.

“Ignition…! We have lift-off, people!”

The ground rumbled for miles. Teary eyed, exhausted builders, scientists, and every troll in between stared as the last site launched. The project was an overwhelming success. Completed early and with flying colors, it was a sign of true Alternian achievement. And, unlike many projects of recent history, it went by without a hitch. No bomb threats, no terror, no conflicting organizations or sabotage save for the resistance fought by trolls who lived in general proximity of the sites and required relocation. But, that was Alternian life, and nothing was out of the usual. The launch sites, quiet from the awe of their occupants, broke into celebratory cheers.

It was time to party!

Or - maybe not.

“Available revelers slash ground crew volunteers, please make your way to the Ground Crew Operations Tent. Make your way to the Operations Tent.”

And so, trolls filtered to the tent. Among the planned festivities (primarily cake, and lots of it), a lead supervisor stood with a clipboard on a make-shift podium. They tapped the mic, adjusted their glasses and gave a sheepish wave to the trolls standing in front of them.

“Ahem! Hello, everyone. Gordin here, supervisor. First of all, great job! Bang up work. Very good, and all that! Here on the post-operation side of things, we’re excited to start taking over to make sure that our facilities remain orderly. Un...Fortunately, we weren’t made aware of some… Security blips until recently, and we are enlisting your help now to n** this little intrusion in the bud.”

There was some concerned murmuring. Bubbling up were murmurs of invaders, saboteurs -- and worse. The speaker cleared their throat and furiously tapped the mic again (exerting a sharp squeak from the device).

“Ahem ahem! No, no, I’m sure it’s nothing. Well, it’s, um - it’s certainly something! But not anything… Well, I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about too much. This is all precautionary work, after all! Even if it was a little lost wiggler, we’d need to be on it, you see! And… As you can see…”

They flipped up their clipboard, realizing only too late that its contents were probably too small for the audience to read.

“There are quite a number of pings we’ve received showing a few breaches on our premises. Our security team is currently working overtime now that we’re fully in the air, er, space, so if anyone is interested in helping scout the area… That-that’d be just great. Alright! Well, I’ll be over here to give specific directions if you’re heading to Alpha or Beta. All Gamma and Delta travelers, head to that table over there and Bluril will assist you! Thank you!”

This CYOA is open to all trolls working as part of the ground crew! For the next week, every day a choice will be presented representing your troll's investigation into the security breaches. Each choice you make should be accompanied by a minimum 75 words of RP. You can keep playing even if you miss days, but you can't skip ahead, and must follow the steps of the investigation as they're presented. You are also welcome to RP with other trolls that make the same choices as you, or to play by yourself.

It seems as though there is some investigation that needs doing to help the ground crew sort out their suspicions! Paranoid or not, any sabotage could mean bad news for Alternian progress. Looks like your current choices are traveling to the Alpha, Beta, Gamma or Delta site areas. Who do you go to for information?

A. Gordin -- Alpha or Beta sites

B. Bluril -- Gamma or Delta sites

Sephos's obligations had multiplied like hopbeasts, and he knew -- he knew, darn it -- that he wasn't contributing like he should have to the space race effort. Or the the Lightseekers. Or to his Lusus's territory. Maku, for his part, had accepted it. The treebeast didn't so much encourage things as tolerate that Sephos had many things to do, and that it kept him from worrying about those who had gone to space.

Instead of him.

When he arrived, there was just setting up a party to do - apparently, things had been finished up without him. Sephos wasn't entirely clear about what happened, but parties -- Punkie was very into those. Parties he understood, and he could see that there was, indeed, cake. That's nice. He thought, as he set tables and such in the tent. Maybe he could save her a piece for later? Probably not - he didn't have anywhere to put it.

He watched, face completely blank as trolls gathered for the party, stuffing some of the cake into his mouth and working it around his teeth. It was so sweet - such sweetness... was it success? Like a fruit brought to full bloom?

And then, suddenly, it was all paused.

Security blips? Trouble? Danger? The thought made Sephos feel queasy, like he wanted to hide... no. He wanted to fix it. And that was that. With that settled, he walked over to the troll who had spoke and just... stood there, waiting for instruction on how he could do just that.

Apibom Honeii
Night: Zero
Choice: A. Gordin

A party! Apibom looked forward to that. The last one they had been to was during the SSA competition and they'd been too nervous to really enjoy it. This time they just had to deal with ignoring the ache in their body from working so far. That was doable. They followed the crowd to the tent where they were summoned, figuring this was probably just going to be a 'congratulations, we did it' speech before they were allowed to dig into the cake.

Or not. Api listened with growing confusion, wincing when Gordin managed to make the mic squeak. Ow... They squinted at the clipboard, totally unable to read what was on it. Didn't Gordin have any of the big screens from inside the building to use? No?? Oh well. They sighed, it would just figure that the work wasn't done. Well- it would just be another chance to prove themself, they supposed.

Once the crowd had dispersed a little better, they made their way over to where Gordin had said they would be. Gordin seemed approachable, at least a lot kinder than some of the other supervisors around the operations tent. They grabbed a slice of cake before going to join Gordin and... a tall greenblood. "Hi.., uh, I'm Apibom. Happy to assist with the investigation..!" They offered Gordin a smile and cheerful greeting, then... opted to eat their cake while they still had the chance.
