The Valhalla Screaming returned to Ridus Village. Stepping out on the docks of the port, Thaddeus and crew would be stricken by the devastation which had sweeped the area in their stead. With Misses 2 & 3 at his side Baroque Works had returned to Ridus Village in order to keep their reputation . "We need to speak to our field agent, they will tell us who is responsible for this." Mr.0 would say speaking in a reletively calm demeanor, It was no secret Baroque Works had shown up a little too late in order to prevent the disaster from happening. But that didn't mean they couldn't take justice into their own hands.
"Be careful. There's a marine ship nearby. "
The boss would say, heading over to the bar in which several millions ranked members of Baroque Works acted as their eyes and ears on the island.

It took the Organization no time at all to get the information they needed, after settling in, greeting the other field operative stationed at Ridus, Thaddeus and friends were given the appearance of the man whom attacked their territory. "Ridus village was attacked by it's old territory leader? " Thaddeus would questionably repeat, however he trusted the information, why would they lie about something like that.
"Guzma, that's b*****d. He attacked the territory for allying with us, what's his problem?"
Thaddeus would jokingly ask, he knew that Guzma one point or another rivaled him for dominion over West Blue, however it was looking like Thaddeus would become the victory of their power struggle. After leaving the bar with some new information. The crew would begin strolling around the beaten poverty stricken streets of Ridus Village.

It wasn't hard to see all the white and blue uniformed Marines walking about, Thaddeus had already overheard them speaking about the missing Marines. Of course each person in Ridus was aware of what was going on, but they were under strick no snitching policy.
"You've come to Mercenary town, wearing marine uniforms, asking about missing marines? "
Breaking out into hearty laughter Thaddues and the agents of Baroque Works would confront the marines, if he could have the World Government fix the location, It would mean that he could go back to conquering the West in short time.

"We see you helping the people, and we're grateful for that. But nobody owes you answers for the question you seek. " Mr.0 would say, the crowd of onlooking villagers making way for the biggest Gangsters in the entire sea. Of course Baroque Works was almost untouchable on their own turf, The marines would come to understand, that they would have to go through them in order to get answers for their MIA nakama.

The trip to Ridus was left to Samantha as she was the only one in the crew who had actual navigation skills. They were lucky that they had been sailing across the Blues as she doubted they would go far on the Grand Line without a navigator.
"The weather is not so bad. We will make it to the island soon enough." she said while at the helm, to one in particular. She had all the tools she needed to locate herself and the ship on the sea outside of the Grand Line, so she could give an accurate estimation of how long it would take for them to reach Ridus. And they were still a few hours away from their destination. She had someone else take the helm as the course had already been set. She knew when the ship's direction should be changed and gave the instructions for it to happen. In the meantime she prepared herself for the time she would spend in Ridus. Now that she had a base to return to, she could carry more than just few changes of clothes. She also needed proper tools to set up her workshop. And, since they were an organization, Samantha, no, Miss Three expected to have people that could assist her. If she could she would want someone with blacksmithing skills to forge the parts that were too large or specific for her to adapt or make on her own. As she headed to her room, she made a list in her mind, of things she had to buy. Hopefully Thaddeus would not be stingy, because she would need to spend quite a bit to be of use to him. She would want to prepare a cart to carry the things she was going to buy but, knowing that they would not be there for pleasure but for work, she had to leave that kind of thing for another opportunity and would make a decision on the spot later. For now, as she entered the bedroom that became hers. The door was closed and locked without a need of her touching it after she entered, thanks to her powers, and she made a decision. To take a short nap. There was plenty of time before the ship reaches the waters near their destination after all.

---

Hours later, Miss Three was back at the helm and docked the ship properly so they could go into land. Following Thaddeus through the docks, she listened to his words as she knew nothing about the organization and its informants. Even so, the girl did not fail to notice sea vessels that had the flag of the Marine at the port. Shortly after Mister Zero also made sure to warn them about it. Miss Three remained silent as they headed towards a bar. Leaving everything to him was the best course of action as she did not have the social skills needed to make a stand in such a place and gather information, even if the other party was an agent of the same organization. The results of her actions, or lack of actions, were seen very shortly as they were given a physical description of the person behind the incident. From Mister Zero's words, it was the territory's former leader, a person named Guzma. He also seemed to guess that it was because the territory changed its allegiance to their organization. With that information, they left the bar.

Walking across the streets of Ridus, it was possible to see that not many were fortunate and lived in poverty. However, the strangest sight was a number of members of the Marine around Ridus. Their impecably white and blue uniforms stood out when among the dirty clothed villagers. Some talked about missing marines as she could overhear. It picked her curiosity but she was unable to focus her thoughts on that as Mister Zero surprised her by confronting them as they asked about the missing people. She almost retorted as he talked to them but could not bring herself to voice her thoughts. The only thing Miss Three could do was try her best to keep her poker face and prevent her surprise from leaking out.

She was quiet. She made sure to say anything, even though due to her rank, she should be playing a bigger role. She knew down the line that her rank was the way of the military and yet she was being lead around by someone who snapped her power around. It meant nothing to Michelle how it got done, where she was before this didn't have ranks. She wasn't a leader and she didn't expect to be one. With that being said, She made sure to do her best to stick to the side and look for information. She played it close to the ear, more or less trying to find bits of information that she could find here and there. Masae went to pubs, Xandria talked to the people, but Michelle decided to go around and do something else.

She moved between the people, between the cracks of society. Every place had a back alley or something you couldn't regularly see without the right word of mouth or information. She would arrive through the side of a house, removing a stone that would open the path to a small door. "Michelle?" Asked a man who drank a fine set of wine. Michelle smiled, pulling out a newly made wine. "Hello Lorenzo, I need some word of mouth." the man smiles and tinks his glass. Michelle pours and time slips away. She is not happy with her answer, she is not happy at all. "You must mean someone else." She states with clenched fists. Lorenzo only shakes his head and shrugs. "I would never belittle fine wine and a little beli." Lorenza spurs. Michelle sighs and leaves, kicking stones along the way. This isn't what she wanted to learn, nor did she ask about the other man on the list for them to hunt. Who was this Tawara? Could they not find him? She sighed. Should she let this information go, or maybe she should explain it to the group. This was her job now. Ugh!

Guzma... She thinks to herself. There is no way that it could be who it was supposed to be. She couldn't see it, but he was a pirate. Her mind played with her, telling her she was the cause of this, and she tried her best not to shed a tear. She sighs, and stops. Something is going on. There is a collection of people around her other two marines. Part of her wants the two to fight, but her new position allows her to step forward. She steps towards her group, Maese and Xandria, standing in-front of them. "Ah, there seems to be a problem. I think we should maybe go?" Michelle staying aloud for more mostly the two marines to step back. She wants no problem here, she had gotten her information, and now they had something to work on. "Marines have no point asking pirates for help, but maybe if we help turn the tides on law, we can change the narrative? Hmm?" Michelle smiled, pressing back the two behind her. They needed to go, because this place was not worth it.

Watching another green haired marine come on the scene, she would step in and breech the space between the mercenary crew, and the clearly out numbered marines. Perhaps feeling cornered, the Green one would suggest leaving the area. "Perhaps you don't see the state of disarray that this insignificant village is in." If they weren't understanding what he was getting at, Thaddeus would have to put it in lame mans terms. It would save them all some time. "I care about this village and my friends here. Fix this place, and I'll tell you what I know about those missing friends of yours~!" The one eye'd man would say, pointing towards the young marine crew.

"Now how's about the rest of us go and get some drinks, while these lovely law ladies get to work! Kehahahaha~" The one eye'd ruffian would shout, breaking out into laughter as he headed to Lorenzo's bar, making people do the work you yourself didn't want to do sure was thirsty work. A perfect real world example of why it sucked being a Marine.

Masae looked around, helping some people fix their houses until it was stable. She heard someone introduce themselves, but when she turned, her soft smile turned into a scowl,

” No one owes us anything. We don’t do this just to receive something back.”

She began, dusting dirt off of her thighs. A child clung onto her leg, shyly away from the large man with red hair that entered. The Marine ruffled his hair, and sent him back to his mother. She stepped forward, joining Xandria’s side. Placing a hand on her hips, she narrowed her eyes at the two who appeared before them. For him to insult the government on their hard work struck her to her core. Her, who came here with comrades trying to find other comrades, was brushed off. Sure, it wasn’t smart to come to Mercenary town in Marine uniforms, but she rushed here because she was actually worried about the people who were raided. Although it was in shambles, the three off them helped out as much as they could. Giving Thaddeus a warm smile, Masae shook her head,

“ Perhaps you’re a complete tin can. Empty inside, nothing but a hollow shell of a man.”

She began, reaching over to take her jacket from its perch. It was dirty, as it should be to represent how much work she had done before the male even arrived.

“ If you care, you would have helped. But you don’t. I do not need aid from the likes of you. You, who see nothing but money in everything.”

With a cold glare, the maiden walked off, taking into account that there was information here. Her reports earlier were now debunked by this encounter. Something was happening…something bad. Her gut told her to trust herself, but with the missing Marines, she couldn’t help but think about Boone’s words.

As Xandria moved on to the next villagers that were in the town she would look around some more and find some more villagers who were in need of some help with getting their families out. Walking up she looked at the man who was trying to kick down some rubble to get inside, Xandria walked up to him and asked. "Do you need some help sir?" The man turned to see Xandria standing there, he looked down and said. "My wife is trapped in there! I don't know if you can help but if you can it would be good!" Xandria nodded as she would tell him. "Stand back sir this will take one moment." The man would take a step back as Xandria would produce some wax from her hands as she shot them out fast, the end of her stream were hardened as they broke right through the door with ease, with that the man rushed in quickly to find his wife inside. Xandria watched the man bring his wife out as he set her down on the ground, Xandria joined him to check her wounds with some basic medical aid and said. "Shes fine, just knocked out." The man sighed in relief as he said. "Thank you marine, if theres anything I can help you with just ask." Xandria nodded and asked. "Actually there is I was wondering if you could tell me if any marines that came here earlier that went missing? Like if you saw any marines here, but they just disappeared and you never saw them again?" The man looked at her for a moment and tapped his chin and shook his head. "No I'm afraid not, I've been living in this town for most of my life, but I have seen marines enter in here to do some standard patrols, and I've seen them leave just all the same. Why have you been told something else?" The man asked as Xandria looked up at him especially his eyes a she looked at them and there were no hints of him lying or being nervous so she took his word and nodded. "Unfortunately yes, we've been told that marines have gone mission from this village, mainly the new recruits who just started like myself. So far we haven't found anything or people not knowing." She had a sad look on her face as; then the man looked up and saw another person walk in as he frowned saying. "Watch out for that man who just came in, hes bad news, but I thank you for rescuing my wife, please be safe." Xandria turned to see a new man with red hair enter the town, she then returned over to Masae's side, once she did she looked at her for a moment then turned to the man who had just entered the town. She already didn't like the man who entered, then when he spouted his nonsense she made a frown as she was already not into what he was saying, Xandria had nothing to say mainly because all the talking had been done from Masae and Michelle. When Michelle got between the new people and herself and pushed them behind her, she watched as Masae turned to leave, Xandria looked to the new people who arrived as she made one small bow then leaned closer to Michelle answering. "Yes let us go senpai." Xandria turned around and followed after Masae, once she got close to Masae she whispered to her, covering her mouth so the others couldn't see what she was saying. "Masae san, I asked more of the villagers but they all are saying the same thing, but with that red hair man here and the things hes saying, maybe these villagers fear him and are scared to tell us the truth?" Xandria added to Masae as she watched Michelle join them now, Xandria then asked. "Shall we leave then? Where should we go next?" Xandria asked as she was wondering where else they would go, but in all honestly as long as they were away from those people over there, anywhere was better.

                                                                              A disguise? No. Simple clothing.

A man who chose not to don the uniform of his faction upon entering a known village of lawless mercenaries. There was no fright or fear to be had within him, for he simply knew how delicate the matter would be should officials show up and begin asking questions. Unlike his colleagues, Azusa didn't carry the burden of guilt nor angst on his shoulders for not adorning his badge. While he respected his higher ups, their rules were not always his own. Their sense of morale and justice and wearing it with honor did not fit him. The bravado of the Marines could've been seen as a strategic fault more than anything and who had long since cast away his stubborn pride; at least that's what he told himself.

He wore the clothes of a civilian. A simple man adorned in a coat and pants, his hair untied to let his locks flow, windswept yet unkempt. He looked lowborn, a drifter of sorts, much like the kind who roamed these streets in pursuit of stray coin and meals. It was easier to lay low this way, no one ever paid close attention to peasants.

The bearded vagabond was here as a detour from his original path of tracking down the infamous Tawara, an ex-Marine whom he'd sketched the picture of using hints and details via word of mouth. After showing it to his more seasoned colleagues they'd instantly recognized him. His travels led him here to Ridus village, curious if the man had also been connected to a string of Marine kidnappings but his lead was starting to turn cold; believing that the incidents were, in fact, separate.

This was when he stumbled into the middle of a rather lively conversational disagreement between Marines and one red-haired ruffian and a small group of chortled no-faces. However, it appeared that the group was managing to talk their way out of a sticky situation that they talked themselves into in the first place. Azusa made himself scarce, a simple nobody who happened to have turned an eye to the conversation being held and had immediately turned away and begun to saunter off. He hadn't expected others to have picked up the pieces of a cold case but he was glad to see such even though their methods were shallow and pedantic to say the least. New faces among them, green-horns, similar to himself in a since but they didn't appear to be as seasoned in life and social constructs than he was.

The man sighed, partially in relief, the rest in annoyance and disappointment. He said nothing to them. He did not approach. However, once they took their leave he did follow at a distance, this was not the best of places to approach them, let alone scold them for their numerous faults; still, he felt it his civic duty to do so. So for now he followed, appearing to the rest of the world as just a simple drifter without a crew nor contract binding him to servitude.

Much to Thaddeus' dismay, they'd repaired the area, fixing the shops he extorted. Without him having to lift a finger, but after all they were marines so that's what they were supposed to do. However as he was beginning to walk away the marines were doing the same. Rather then take the bait for Thaddeus' little ruse. "Nani?! You mean to tell me one of your nakama goes missing. there is information out there that could potentially be useful... and your not the slightest bit interested?" Taking out a fat cigar, placing it between his lips, forever arched in his signature s**t eating grin. The marines would begin to understand how he'd earned the epithet "worm tongue". Thaddeus was a master deceiver, and you knew it! He couldn't hide his nature, even at 0 bounty he was scum. But it took a criminal to catch a criminal, and while Thaddeus didn't know exactly what had happened to the missing marines. He knew where to take them... so he knew where to look.

"You've got some nerve girly, talking about me like I don't care. You're the one walking away from a lead in your investigation." Thaddeus would proddingly say to the black haired marine girl. She seemed the most eager to find their lost companions. So then why would they purposely try and decline the offer.

"You wanna find your friend HA! First thing you'll need is me! Second thing you'll need is money!" The one eye'd man would shout out at the dark haired female. He knew he was getting under her skin, perhaps she understood the circumstances, perhaps she was afraid. Regardless to continue down this path, she'd have to put her faith in a man she had to have known was 100% untrustworthy.

"How many more days are you going to keep them waiting? KAHAHAH!" The crazed man would shout, purposely pushing all of the wrong buttons.

He dressed in his everyday garb, knowing full well the type of place they’d next be approaching. With a heavy sigh, Shinra follows behind Michelle whilst rubbing the back of his head in thought. Everything had been happening all at once, so maybe it’s all connected in some way? With that idea in his mind, the young Marine ends up passing by the bar where Michelle went to likely have a drink or two. He finds himself amidst a group of gossiping older women, who all seem to be discussing the recent happenings, and how dangerous it’s been lately.

With his usual apathetic greeting, he approaches and holds up his Marine badge as per mandatory. “Hey, ladies. Mind filling me in on anything you might have heard about some missing Marines? Anything will do, even the faintest rumor.” he finishes before sliding his badge back into his pocket. After conversing with the women for a while, gathering as much intelligence as he can, he bows courteously, thanking them for their time. As he lifts himself back tall, he notices Michelle heading off from the bar, garnering his attention. He trails her from behind now, noticing her walking up to some of the other marines that found themselves traveling along for the same request. With nothing to add to their greetings, he sits himself on a barrel close by, possibly fifteen feet or so away, not facing them, but keeping an ear open so as to hear them carefully.

“Hoh? Did they get themselves into trouble…?” he asks silently to himself, turning his gaze over towards the trio’s position with his peripheral. From the sound of their conversation, it seems as though the information they may have gathered could possibly be faulty, but in the end, it didn’t matter. They’d find what they needed eventually, so for now, the best thing they can do is leave this place. After exhaling through his nostrils, he lets the others get away a bit before getting up himself and heading for another area. “I guess...there isn’t much point in showing off the badge, huh.” he thinks to himself, remembering how he flashed it to garner the cooperation of the women earlier. “What a blunder.” After rubbing the back of his head again, he ends up catching up to Michelle, Xandria, and Masae. As he passes by, he’d pat Michelle on the back, pat Xandria’s head in passing, and place a hand on Masae’s shoulder before moving to the front of them.

Still walking, but slowly, he lift his head to face the sky. “Don’t get discouraged from that. You’re going to run into a lot of types like that guy back there. Best thing you can do is move forward. People’s lives are counting on us.” he finishes before pocketing his hands. Though his words were meant to sound encouraging, his usual apathetic tone likely didn’t help get that point across, but hell, he tried. ]

Watching Masae leave she would look at both Michelle and the new person who showed up with them, when her head was pat she would blush a little and answered. "We are leaving from here, not going to work with those pirates over there, so we're leaving. Come on senpai lets go, lets go put a kingdom under marine protection." Xandria said as she covered her mouth and whispered to them so the pirates couldn't hear then turned around and left with Masae and getting on their ship to leave.

With the weird stuff happening, Sam let Thaddeus know she was going somewhere else for a while but that she'd return with chicken.

With the snap of his fingers Thaddeus & co. would leave.

Never stating his name, or giving out the information that would further the Marine Investigation.

If they wanted to know about the slave trade going on... They would have to go out and seek him.

This moment was a plague among them. They had indeed just been visited by some form of disaster, and now, what could they do? They were outnumbered, but Maese mouth seemed to weigh them all down. The crowd began to disperse, but more people kept coming. She made sure to make note of the people who were in the area and what they looked like. Sure, no names for now, but when the time came, she would update them into the database or something else. The more the marines knew, the more they could monitor. She said nothing until the man left, and kept a note that he was probably leading something bigger than he was leading on. She then moved to her other two marines, wondering if maybe she should assert herself. She was higher ranked than the other two, but what did it mean if she didn't want to be leader. She sighed, and decided she would let these moments pass for now. She would discuss it when they were home, when they were not so out of focus. For now, she needed to get some stuff done here.

"Shinra..." She mutters, upset with herself and what could have happened here. "There has been a blunder" Her only words to him as she continued to move around the island. It seemed people needed help, and so she would do this for now. She always had her tools on her, and of course, her wine and such. She would supply the people with wine, give them something for later to recover with. She would preform her medical treatment on those who needed it, but her mind was focused elsewhere. To learn of Guzma, to learn of the others? She shook her head, and when the time had come, she would walk past the man in his coat and look to him. "Do you have any information? Any concerns?". She cared not what he said, but her face showed genuine care. She wasn't here, just on auto pilot. She was just doing her job now, and here she would go.
