Hey, this thread is pretty cool! Your story is a lot similar to mine; I first started using an email-based name on websites.

Octopusball is a name I use (and still on most other websites). I would say 95% of the time, the name's never taken (pffft). As for the origin of The Deaf-Nex, I was originally just called "Deaf-Nex but got banned and couldn't bare to abandon the name. I write a lot so this name came from a character of mine I created in junior high. it was actually supposed to be "Death-Nex" but Deaf was more easier to pronounce. That character has long been scrapped LOL.

On other names, I fairly use Anomano and Zansy. My alternate Gaia profile is named Eternal Delerium (after the music group Delerium); she used to be named Delerium Elusive. I'm sort of random with it, I guess~ emotion_yatta

Do you mean how I genderbended it? Not really, still me besides how I sometimes refer to myself as a male to those I don't give a sham about. I've got the right reasons, don't worry. xD But yeah, I've got to admit that I can be as 'free' as I want to be in expressing myself in Gaia. Being behind the screen and away from incoming kicks does that, you know?

My internet identity has always been Yuki, my favorite number has always been 16. But Yuki16 was taken. And then I asked my bro if she knew anything that rhymed on Yuki and she said cookie. Ta-Da! Username born.
