Mordred smiled a little and walked with him. "I'm afraid I'm not a very good guide my prince, but perhaps we could ask a local to show us around? Or would you prefer to explore without assistance?" He asked, looking up at Abiron. He wanted to make sure that Abiron got the experience that he wanted while they were on their quest... and he wanted to make sure that it was memorable for both of them for when Abiron didn't need him anymore. He knew it would happen eventually. This quest wouldn't go on for the rest of their lives, after all. When he found a bride, Mordred would just get in the way, so he had to make sure to commit this time with him to memory, for when he was alone again.

"It's alright,we can look around by ourselves. We'll be fine." he said with a smile as he went to the gates of the castle. The people let them out as they went to the town. Abiron always preferred to explore on his own one seems to learn more that way without an escort.

Mordred nodded and walked beside him, but slightly behind him to make it obvious that he was only a servant of his. Not an equal. He looked around curiously, ignoring the stares at seeing a black dragon in favor of seeing all the houses and shops. The kids playing, oblivious to his presence for the moment. This was what a town looked like. Sounded like. He couldn't help smiling a little.

Abiron sighed to himself silently when he saw that Morded fell in step behind him. He paused, taking a few steps back so he was with pace with Mordred. He couldn't help smirking though. He heard all the sounds and saw all the sights it was very different from the ocean he lived in. Walking was something he was still getting used to.

Mordred blinked. "Ah, you don't want anyone to know that you're the prince, my lord?" That could explain why he was stepping back to walk beside him instead of in front of him. He was still looking around at everything, but he made sure to focus most of his attention on Abiron.

Abiron didn't really respond, but nodded instead as he continued to walk next to Mordred. "Your a prince as well." he said in a quiet tone so no one else would hear besides the dragon next to him. Seeing that Mordred was happy as he looked around brought a smile to his face. "Mordred, how do you purchase something on this land?"

Mordred shook his head. "Not anymore, my lord. I lost my title and any ties to them. I am a commoner. Less than that." He told him before he was asked how to buy things. He bit his lip. "Well, there are certain coins that have certain levels of value. You earn them by working." He explained. "If it is your wish, I could try to find some way of earning money for our journey." He didn't have any since he'd never had a need for it in his room. He knew all the coins, since he was curious after money was mentioned in one of his books, but he didn't actually have any.

"In my culture, there is no such thing as a lost title." he said as they continued to walk when he listened to Mordred explain how things were bought. He understood, but he didn't have the time to work and earn anything. "How about a trade? Does trading work?" he asked curiously, he only bought things with him that could be traded off.

Mordred bit his lip about how Abiron's culture would still consider him a prince, but didn't say anything about it. The question made him stop. "I don't know. Maybe? If not, I think there are places that can buy stuff from people and give them money in return." He said unsurely. "I don't know much about this kingdom, but we can try either way."

Abiron nodded as he walked about, "The we shall fnd out." he walked from store to store thinking of what he could trade. He came upon a clothing store, the only clothes he had were the ones he been wearing. Walking in he looked about finding a few garments he liked then he went up to the person working. "Excuse me," he said with a handsome smile, "I have a dilemma, you see I come from the sea, but I have no means of what you call 'money,' do you accept trade?" he asked the worker.

Mordred stayed back a step or two, watching them talk. The worker, a cheery male with light orange wings and freckles looked to him. "It depends on the trade, usually. If you have something that we can use, then a trade could be arranged. Money's accepted everywhere. If you have anything you're willing to trade, I'd be more than happy to take a look." Mordred smiled some, which made the worker look at him for a moment. It was enough to make his eyes widen and wince. "Is... he with you?" He obviously wanted to say 'that' instead of 'he,' but decided that it might offend this potential customer. "I can contact the local authorities if he isn't. Black dragons are dangerous if they don't have masters." Mordred winced and looked down. He could tell that the man was actually being very polite, if the king's hatred for black dragons was anything to go by. A nice boy... maybe he could be Abiron's true love? He may not look like what Abiron mentioned, but he seemed nice and honest...

Abiron listened to the male, speak of money and trade and was glad that he would look at any items that he had. Abiron began to shift through his bag grabbing stones, gems, and other items the people maybe interested. Although when the worked pointed to Mordred, Abiron looked up smiling, "Mr. You see, I come from the sea and as does he. He is only a black sea dragon. Please do treat him well." Abiron said as finished pulling out the items. There was some jewelry from the bottom of the ocean that has been dropped, small circular items in a yellowish color (gold coins), pearls of different sizes and colors. Gemstones and diamonds as well. "Will these work for trade?" he asked the shop keeper.

Mordred heard Abiron's explanation and smiled warmly to the worker, who nodded a little hesitantly. "Alright, sir." He looked over the items, his eyes going wide. "These are... there are all very valuable items, sir!" He told him before he could stop himself. "Any of these could easily pay for the clothes you wish to buy. Are you certain that they are the only things in the shop that you want? One of the gold coins would buy you at least ten other items without any trouble at all." Mordred watched. Very honest then. A liar or deceptive person would have told him that all that would barely earn him those clothes. He seemed like he was perfect for Abiron in personality. Mordred would ask Abiron if he was the one later, once they were out of earshot.
