"Hmmm then maybe someone should cook for you." Bernadette smiled a little. As they approached the village again the looks and whispers started. She tried hard to ignore them.  

[NightWerewolf]

"Is that an invitation." He asked with a wry smile, ignoring the looks and whispers from the villagers. He found it to be uncomfortable but wouldn't let it get to him.

"Not officially no." Bernadette suppressed her smile.  

[NightWerewolf]

"More crappy cooking for me tonight then." He chuckled softly then thought for a second. "What about unofficially?"

"Unofficially.... I could look into it." She glanced at him. "Could be possible if you were around the shop at closing." She dropped the very obvious hit for him. She didn't mind if he came for dinner and her grandmother would insist on it.

"What time do you close?" He asked, catching what she said and smiling softly.

"Around seven." Bernadette said casually. She looked down at her basket and tucked her knife away so no one saw it.

"I'll see you then." Alex nodded, looking down the street towards his home. "Later." He gave her a quick wave and started to walk away.

She gave him a small smile and headed down to the shop. "I'm back Bubbee." she called when she walked in. her grandmother was helping a woman find something for a cough. Bernadette walked to the back and unloaded her basket.

He looked back over his shoulder at her as she entered the shop but continued on down the street, heading into the butcher shop. He traded all but one of the rabbits for some money and brought that one back home with him.

Bernadette was organizing the new supplies when her grandmother announced closing. She left the rest on the counter to get back to later.

Looking at a nearby clock Alex finished off his cup of tea and left his home, heading towards the herb shop. Once there he opened the door and slowly walked in.

"Sorry we're closed." Bernadette chimed as she heard the bell from the front door. She looked up and saw who it was. "Oh hello Alex."

The old woman came from the back with her shall and her granddaughters cloak. She smiled at seeing the young man.

"If you're closed you should lock the place up." He teased, walking over to the counter. "Hey Bernadette." He saw her grandmother come out of the back room and gave the woman a smile and nod.

"We were about to." She said a little pointedly.

"Don't be rude dieťa. What can we help you with Alexander?" The woman asked sweetly, setting their things on the counter.
