To permanently kill an avi you must hack into someone's system account forcing your will over their's. But since you are talking about other ways. I say slice your avatar in parts, dip it in the acid so no one would recognize the avi. Bury it deep somewhere that not even the Gaia police would think of finding and searching for it. The whole Soprano butcher treatment right there.
