Olan could only guess that Demitri wasn't the kind to shake hands with people, according to her apparent reluctance to the shake. He had felt a bit uncomfortable when she had been staring at him with an observant face. It almost scared him a little at the time, but he kept still as to not pose a threat.
He giggled a little when Demitri stuck her tongue out at Dustynn, and he began to wonder if they had been that way before. After all, siblings like to tease each other, right?

Suddenly, a red and black butterfly fluttered by the window, which caught the attention of both of the Loch children. Demitri smiled and began walking toward the window, letting the butterfly inside. The butterfly flew around Demitri for a bit before going to fly around Dustynn. The boy was clearly confused, but he didn't move an inch until the butterfly took on the form of a beautiful woman who looked very much like himself. Black-ish purple hair, but she had vivid blue eyes.
"M-mom...?" Dustynn asked. The woman smiled and nodded, then disappeared and became a butterfly again. Dustynn was a bit sad that his mother didn't want to linger long in her human ghost form, but he was deeply happy that she came back to say hi.

Olan had noticed the butterfly at the window and watched as it flew around Dustynn and Demitri before transforming into a woman whom Dustynn had recognized as his mother. Olan figured that he shouldn't be interrupting such a happy reunion, so he just stood off to the side.
'They look really happy,' he thought to himself. 'This must be how his life was before the disaster.' Then he looked down sadly. 'Then what about his father. Sure, he was kinda crazy at this time, but what about before? Maybe he turned insane when the disaster struck. I guess I'll ask Dustynn later.' He didn't understand why he'd be so concerned about the father, but there was a reason behind his madness, right?

Suddenly, Demitri waved sadly at Dustynn. His eyes widened with surprise, but she just smiled and walked over to him. His entire body went rigid, but she didn't seem to notice. She took his face in her hand and hugged him. Dustynn was in completely shock, but Demitri seemed perfectly still and serene.
"Sayoonara, Niichan." She whispered, then a wind blew her ghostly figure away, and a blue and black butterfly took her place, flying out the window to meet with the red butterfly. Then, they were gone. Dustynn didn't realize that he was crying until he felt something wet stream down his face.
"Damn..." He cursed, wiping them away.

Watching as the butterflies flew away, and he wondered if this was the final goodbye. It seemed as if they really had to leave. Does that mean they'll be gone forever?
Olan turned to face Dustynn, who appeared to be wiping tears from his face. He could tell that the gang leader was really affected by the butterflies' departure, and Olan decided to stay silent and not bother him.
'I'm sure you'll see them again,' he wanted to say, but now wasn't the time. He could only stand there and wait for the gang leader to say or do something that can end the gloomy silence.

When Dustynn was sure that he wouldn't cry anymore, he picked up a knife from his desk and walked over to his father. Any random bystander would have thought that Dustynn was going to cut his father to shreds, when really, all he wanted to do was gouge his eyes out. He bent down next to his father's face, then remembered that he wasn't alone and turned toward Olan.
"Don't look, unless you want to have your mind scarred for all of eternity." Dustynn murmured, rolling his sleeves up slightly and probing the body for a bomb or something.

Olan nodded and immediately turned away and kept his eyes on the wall. There was, at first, just the ruffling of clothes and such, but that wasn't what Dustynn had warned about. It was a little while later that he heard the sickening sound of a knife cutting something from the dead body and tried to block it out by covering his ears, but the sound stuck to him like glue.
Somuka seemed to rub her delicate wings against his cheek, as if to comfort him or something. The powder of the wings stuck to his cheek, making a mixed mess of orange, black, and white. The haunting sound then died away, but he kept his ears covered in case it was just the echo that disappeared.

Dustynn cursed when a stream of blood squirted at him from one of the veins behind the eye. Apparently, the body was still trying to supply the brain with blood, so there was still blood moving. How that worked, Dustynn had no clue. But in order to really kill his father, he stabbed him over and over in the chest until there was no solid wall of flesh, but a mess of shredded skin.
"Okay, it's over now. But I still recommend not looking." Dustynn murmured, picking himself off of the floor and placing the now bloody knife on the table. He went to the closet to try and find some clean clothes since he was now covered in blood.

Olan nodded after Dustynn spoke and kept his eyes to the wall. He turned his head slightly out of curiosity and saw a bloody knife on a nearby table. By the looks of the blood on the object, whatever Dustynn did definitely wasn't pretty. He was sure that by now the dead Loch would be a deformed corpse by now. Olan then brought his eyes back to the wall and waited for the gang leader to let him know whether or not it was safe to look.
He once again heard the ruffle of clothes, but he didn't want to turn around and find out since the corpse was behind. He stayed where he was, trying to keep his curiosity out of the way. For some reason, he wanted to know what Dustynn had done with the corpse, but was it wise to just go ahead and look?

Dustynn sighed, not wanting to touch any clean clothes just to get blood all over it. So, he turned and dragged the older Loch to the window, dumping him outside. Then he leaped up on the window sill, turning to address Olan before he leaped himself.
"You may look, but don't look out the window unless your stomach is up for it." He said quietly, leaping out the window and onto the ground below. "Oh... and could you toss down my knife? Don't worry about looking, just drop it."

"S-sure," Olan said, gently taking hold of the knife on the table and then dropping it from the window. He listened for any cries of pain, but, to his relief, there were none. He then stayed near the window and waited for any further instructions from Dustynn. The bloodied room gave off an eerie aura, and he really didn't want to stay lest something come out of hiding and scare him.
He thought he heard an evil laugh, but it was most likely his imagination. Somuka shivered a little in a way that butterflies could shiver, but Olan wasn't sure if whether she was just cold or if something was wrong. There was a menacing tension in the air and he really wanted to get out of the room, but he didn't know if Dustynn needed anything else, so he stayed put.

The knife came dropping from the window, and Dustynn let it fall to the ground and embed itself in the soft dirt underneath. Good thing he didn't attempt to catch it, since he would have sliced his hand in half. He bent down to pick-up the knife, then he heard a menacing laugh. It was Lorin, undeniably. It had to be him, since only he could laugh in such an almost sadistic way.
Dustynn shivered, grabbing his father's body and began hacking it to bits. He heard footsteps rounding the corner, but it didn't slow his hacking pace; it sped it up. He had already hacked off every limb on the right arm, and he was just moving to the left when a strong hand grabbed his.
"Boss, cool it. The dude's dead already." Kaisin said softly, as if trying to counsel his gang leader. Dustynn slowly lowered his hand, but as soon as Kaisin let go, he began hacking away at the body again. "Boss, God, what's wrong?" He asked.
"Dust..." Marissa said, walking over to the young Loch and the dead older one. She took one look at the body, and her eyes never looked back. "Dust... just give it up already. I know you hated him, but you have to let it go."
"Shut up Mari. Just shut up." Dustynn hissed, plunging the knife into the dead body's throat, breathing hard. "He tried to hurt Olan. He tried to kill him. I'm going to kill him over and over until I feel like he's died in hell, and has died again and again." His eyes took on a blood lusting tint, but he just walked away from the body, tossing his lighter at it. The body burst into flames, as the rest of the gang inched away from it. "Clean up. It's almost morning." Dustynn ordered, and the rest of the gang scattered to obey.

There soon came the sound of knife slicing through flesh, and the sound made Olan shiver. He would have taken a peek out the window if it hadn't been for the slicing sound. He was somewhat sure that Dustynn was cutting up the body, but he had no proof unless he saw it himself, which he decided not to.
Olan then listened to a conversation outside between Dustynn and his gang. They didn't seem to like the fact that Dustynn was doing something, whatever it was, to the corpse that must have involved the knife. A while later, there was the scent of smoke, and since there were thankfully no live screams of pain, Dustynn probably decided to cremate the body.

The door to his room slammed open as Dustynn walked inside, completely covered in blood from his matted hair to his boots. His breathing had calmed down quite a bit, so he wasn't breathing anymore, but he still felt incredibly agitated.
Sure, his father was dead now. Big whoop. What next? Somebody was definitely going to see the smoke, come see what's going on, and then wham! The entire gang is found, everybody goes to jail, and Dustynn goes on death roe. Wonderful. But he looked at Olan and hope filled his eyes a bit. Olan seemed to make things a bit better, since he now had something to look forward to.
"Olan, sorry if I scared you. But this is life as a gang leader." Dustynn smiled quietly, caressing the younger boy's face with his clean hand. "Getting used to it could take some time."

Olan jumped when Dustynn slammed open the door, and he quivered a little at the sudden noise and the sight of the gang leader, who was coated in blood. Well, it could have been worse. Dustynn could have still been very, very upset.
There was a small hope that Olan noticed in the gang leader's eyes. There was a quiet squeal from Somuka as Dustynn carressed the younger boy's face with a hand that wasn't covered in blood. Olan couldn't help but relax and let all that surprise evaporate.
"Yeah, I know," he said after Dustynn spoke. A solemn smile soon decorated his face and he began to feel tired. It was reasonable. The events of this single day would tire out anybody.
