I was informed that durring an interview with J. K. Rowling, it was confirmed by Rowling that Remus and Sirius were origionally intended to be a gay couple. She was worried about the controversy and decided that they would be best friends instead. When Harry recieves the Christmas gift from the two it was labled "from us." In the U.K. you're not supposed to give a gift "from us" unless the "us" are together as a couple. Jodie (my personal Brit.) confirmed that "from us" thing for me.

Mods can delete this if they want, I just thought I should post about it.

She should have KEPT it!!! That is so sad! I understand that it's a kids book and because of that she didn't have to put anything graphic in it...but when better to start teaching tolerance and understanding and acceptance than as a child?

Psh. Canon/in character or not, NOTHING would stop the slashing community. Jo could literally write in her book "And Sirius' last words were... 'I love WOMEN.'" And we'd still pair him up with Lupin. There is no stopping the MANLOVE people, fan-made or not.

But yeah, that's true. I mean, I'm stubborn though. I truly don't think that Remus really likes Tonks. I think he's just humoring her, and us. I think that J.K Rowling really did sneak some Siri/Rem into canon. He's secrelty mourning for Sirius.. his LOVER. talk2hand lol But, that's just me.
