EvFaerAshlynn o.o;;
Okay so right now I'm listening to "Six-Gun Quota" by Seether... and I guess this is a consequence of lurking around here, but my mind changed the lyrics to "Now I limit myself to a six-gun shota."
Oh. My. God. *brain explodes from the absurdity of that thought* Rulin' ya universes...
xD that was my first thought when I read the name of the song! Gahh bad mental image, Sushii! You can't think things like thaaat D:<
@ okami yamato: o.o w-what do you mean, eliminated!? gonk But I know how you guys feel... I have no idea how I'd get out of a situation where my parents find my yaoi... I mean, I'm a pretty good liar but I don't think I could worm my way out of that one ^^;; My mom reorganized my bookshelf once, and I wasn't home... usually I hide my yaoi elsewhere, but I had left them in there just that ONE DAY... so when I got home they were neatly lined up next to eachother... they were really explicit ones too, I got soooo scared... I mean, the covers were pretty obvious too >.>;; I just hope to god she didn't flip through them!
@MistressPaco: weeell. To me, BL is a general term incorporating all forms of boy-on-boy romance... Yaoi is the mature kind with the 18+ rating, and anything OT16+ and under is regarded as "fluff" or Shounen ai by me.
That's just my personal idea of it. I hear that some people consider Shounen ai the same as shoutacon, but I like to keep those terms separate.
It gets so confusing if I had to change it D;
I mean, if Shounen ai meant shoutacon, what word would I us for fluffy stories!? And I've also heard people referring to mature BL (what I like to call yaoi) as "Josei" but I thought "Josei" was a cheesy romance-novel-y sortof manga genre? it's all so confuuuusing ;_;
Oh, but I like using 801, too. Has anyone read the manga or seen the show "Tonari no 801-chan"? (My neighbor yaoi-chan) it's hilarious xD Not to mention the lovely fanservice (especially episode 2 xD Melodramatic cliché school romance?)

..I wanna put Gino in this dress o////o
surprised omgosh! Fuyu no Semi is on DVD! *drools* Do any of you guys actually own any yaoi dvds? I don't ;_; They're real hard to find in stores. I found FAKE once, but I was broke and I still am xD
...since 1992. fear the ninja! FEAR HIM! I had some DVD's (of rather suspicious origin) but I had to eliminate them since my mom almost catches me with one (she was going to see a movie and grabbed my sensitive pornograph DVD I was able to distract her and snatch it away to replace it with naruto's third movie I had in my hand, that was a close one) That sounded uber close. D:
That's like when my aunt was going through my drawings and ALMOST found a naked Shota picture, but I pretended to throw a fit and snatched it from her, then threw it under my bed. fear the ninja! FEAR HIM! indeed it was, hooray for emergency plans and fast thinking! because we are GENIOUS! I know! O_O If I would've spent another minute in the shower, I would've been ******** class="clear"> fear the ninja! FEAR HIM! fear the ninja! FEAR HIM! that proves, god is okay with yaoi and bless all of us, fanatics! XD [/blasphemy] that reminds me when my dad almost catches me with a yaoi game, the door was opening slowly and I just got to the goods is like I threw myself to the plug and disconected it. It happend in slow motion man, SLOW MOTION! I swear I could hear the last fight theme form matrix! O_O
XD Oh GOD. That's horrible!

Skizzors Sushi: Well, yaoi is josei in the sense that lighter BL is shoujo. While shoujo is any manga intended for a younger/teenage female audience, which lighter/non-explicit BL is.. josei is any manga intended for an older/adult female audience, which yaoi is. BL is a subgenre of shoujo. Yaoi is a subgenre of josei. Rulin' ya universes...
aaah I get it now! Thanks for explaining!
