Who doesn't? He sculpt models and paint them for a living, he's a lucky git if you ask me, there's tons of money in good comission works.

2 of them just got a small addition to them.

One with a squig beard and one with a cybernetic eyepatch.

Krayzee Piratee Gitz...

Seriously, though, those models are kick a**. Its always so much fun to pull something onto the table that nobody else has. Actually, taking a key from WHFB, I'm tempted to convert a Slaaneshi Lord with the serpent's body to count as a mount.

Those are absolutely wonderful.

ninja That's really all I have to say.

5 days ago I started working on some plasticard bioniks after looking through the ork codex at page 91, and then it struck me: Why not build the complete nob?

And then I started on sculpting, and since this is my first time sculpting anything apart from belts, pouches, fur, hair, bags, two arms and an ork head, I think it's ok concidering it's my first time trying to sculpt a body, same goes with plasticard, I've only used it to make armour plates on vehicles in the past, so this is quite new for me, and I hope that I'll get more chances to make some cyborks.

But as you can see he's a bit too big to be a nob, so he's going to be another one of my warbosses instead, still haven't decided on clan, but I might go for snakebites with him (yes, some snakebites do have bionikz).

I hope that I'll be able to do better work with greenstuff sometime in the future, and work more with smooting GS out and stuff like that, so please don't come with "it looks good, but you could smooth the gs out a little" or comments like that, or that he seems empty, heck, I just made a model out from an image in the codex. wink

But please, if you have suggestions in how to work better with greenstuff then please let me know how to do it. :thumbs

Oh I forgot to post the pictures, here they are!

Seriously dude, don't you have a job or something? You are spending waaaay too much quality time with your orks cranking out this great stuff.

*oggles the plasticard work*
That, my friend, is impressive. The work with all of the tubing and wires looks incredibly professional, though in that Orky way that it looks like it might just fall apart at any moment.

I assure you that it's sturdy, I've fdropped this model 14+ times now and still no damage on the bionik work at all.

Ok, I've continued my work on him by re-doing the abs and chest, and started a bit on the back and thickened his neck a bit, and I also made the skin/muscles around the bioniks look a bit more "damaged", and this is what it looks like right now.

I'll beef up his arm as well later on. wink

I think he looks a bit better now with the muscle anatomy, not perfect, but yet I like it.

You know what the real awesome thing is? You don't even have to paint him, he's already green! xd

On a more serious note, that's absolutely wonderful work. What tools do you use while working with greenstuff?
PostPosted: Mon Sep 01, 2008 12:02 pm

I use an old beaten GW sculpting tool which I bought some years ago to help me with gap-filling. :'3

So, I could really just go down to a nearby art store and get myself some sculpting tools and they'd do the trick just as well?

I suppose I'd need a more needled tool, one that has a dull, rounded tip, as and a flat edge at the least.

My suggestion: Get some cheap clay tools. I used some 50 cent tools in my CAD class a few years back when we were doing conceptual modeling for a project and I did a pretty good job of it.

No selfrespecting warboss needs completely smooth skin anyways, orks don't bathe in dove you know~

Putting jokes aside, I'll order some new tools once I've been on GD UK 08, since I don't know how much money I'll have after that.

Here's the "finished" result anyways (so far, might go crazy and re-do him even more).
