Takarada Kaoru I have a Japanese Mach Go Go Go ("Speed Racer") DVD set, and I must say it's a GREAT show WITHOUT all the run-on sentences and poorly-done dubbing. Go ahead and hate me for saying that good voiceovers don't subtract from the show. I wouldn't know, but It has a special place in my heart because of what made it so bad. I'm sure it actually made much more sense and was far more involved without the terrible dubbing.

Madame_Fluffy I had a couple of fave cartoons as a kid; which included... Jem Thundercats The Real Ghostbusters Astroboy (not the original black and whites from the 60's; but the remake of the 80's). Lady Lovely Locks The Smurfs The Littles (those still play in syndication; which makes me laugh, seeing as I can't figure out what I found so fun about them). Captain Planet (God, help me!) ::shudders:: Those are the only ones that come immediately to mind - though I'm sure there's more. Never seen Jem, The Littles, Lovely Lady Locks or Tetsuwan Atomu (Astro Boy) 1980, but I love the rest. biggrin

Less campy, and it's great Japanese practice what with Japanese children's DVDs being very bare-bones in presentation and features (i.e. no subtitles in ANY language). It seems to be remastered tho. But I can always enjoy "Speed Racer". It's just so low-budgetly awful. XD

I watched way too many cartoons growing up. I remember back when I was a lot younger, how happy I was when Cartoon Network came out. Man, my TV was always on that channel.
As for ones I loved, gotta go with (and these are just the ones I can remember at the moment): Snorks, Ren & Stimpy, George Of The Jungle (the new version mkes my eyes bleed), The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Captain Planet, My Little Pony, The Gummi Bears, Darkwing Duck, Pound Puppies, Fangface, Josie And The Pussycats, Scooby Doo, Jabber Jaw, The Amazing Chan Clan, 2 Stupid Dogs, Ahh Real Monsters, Rocco's Modern Life, Funky Phantom, Speed Buggy, Hong Kong Phooey, The Jetsons, Bonkers, The Flintstones, Garfield And Friends, Heathcliff, Ducktales, Muppet Babies, Ghostbusters, Tale Spin, Chip & Dales Rescue Rangers, Aladdin, The Care Bears, Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Freakazoid, and gods know how many others.
I didn't get out much, as you might have guessed. I loved the old ones, too, like the Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies, Hanna/Barbera. I loved the stuff they showed on Late Night Black And White. Betty Boop, Popeye, etc... Loved it all.
As for cartoons of today, they're not all bad. The Grim Adventures Of Billy and Mandy are so awesome (they even put in a Fight Club reference, gotta love that). Foster's is awesome, too. And I looooooooved Space Ghost: Coast To Coast. And American Dragon: Jake Long is pretty good, too.

Conis Wildflower On The Move I watch many cartoons as a kid and with my kids. How about Felix the Cat, Ed, Edd, and Eddie. Yes Looney Toons was great. Not sure of the spelling Seasil the Sea Sick Sea Monster. Yes I know very old. Speed Racer was the really big one in the mid 70's. Josey and the p***y Cats. Hair Bear Bunch. Also I liked watching live kids shows like The Monkeys, The Banana Bunch, and HR Puff N'Stuff. Most of the stuff you guys have mentioned didn't come out until I was either in high school or watching with my own kids. I love The Monkees, I actually own both seasons on DVD now =) I also liked Cecil the Seamonster, Josie and the pussycats, The Banana Splits Show, all those Croft shows... hahaha, many slightly before my time, but in syndication when I was a kid. The New Zoo Review, Today's Special, The Bugaloos... I watched it all =) The colored ones I watched, I also would get up early for Land of the Lost and Johnny Quest. Most of the ones listen on this thread are from my kid's time.

I'm going to say pretty much "All the above" because all the cartoons I grew up with as a kid have been named at least once.

Yeah, I agree wtih Dragon Student, I stuck to just a few I hadn't seen posted yet. All the Hanna Barbara, Looney Tunes/Tex Avery, and everthing I pretty much ever watched has been posted. xd Which rocks!
I'm thankful for Youtube because I can share the old, hard to find cartoons with my 4 yr. old. She loves Jem, My little ponies, Care Bears and most recently Sailor Moon.

Hmm. What I used to watch. Let's see now...
Transformers He-Man Thundercats (even if I hated the theme tune xp ) Inspector Gadget Wacky Racers
I'm sure if I put my mind to it, I can thnk of others, but that would probably involve drifitng into the 90's and 00's. Yes, I still watch cartoons today!

I gotta go with Transformers, Darkwing Duck (my favorite of most of Disney's cartoons), and He-man. Both the new and the old. And Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Which, while not an "old cartoon" was still one of the last remaining good cartoons left on CN lately. *shrug*
Oh, and can't ever forget Ducktales. Curse me kilts!
Now, for more adult humor, Space Ghost: Coast to Coast and Harvey Birdman. Both of which I lament the fact that they're gone. *sigh*

I miss all the good old cartoons. The ones I remember watching were the Smurfs, Inspector Gadget, Tom and Jerry, Pound Puppies, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Flinstones, Looney Tunes, Captain Planet, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Scooby Doo, Jabber Jaws, Hong Kong Phooey, The Jetsons, and Garfield and Friends. I am sure there are more, but that is all I can remember.
