Minn blinked at the Captain. She was playing... Chaser? Well, that's not really what she wanted to try out as, but she could do it! Dhyl and Remy had taught her well enough! "Sure! I won't letcha down!" She slid the correctly colored uniform on, then flew into the air. First was the toss-up, right? Right. She flew toward the Quaffle, hoping to get it before anyone else on the other team. She would prove herself as an asset!

Keith nodded as Elli began to speak and explain how they would play today. He pulled on one of the red jerseys that she summoned and handed out. As she released the quaffle, bludgers and snitch, he jumped on his broom and off into the air he went. "Time to do this." he said as he flew after the closest bludger and aimed it at Jacob. Let's do this! he said as he swung at the bludger.

Eun nodded and pulled on a gold jersey as it was given to him. He sighed and jumped on his broom and flew into the air. "Let's see how this goes." he said as he started flying around, keeping an eye out for the snitch. Yes, flying was making him forget his problems. He was starting to feel happy again for the moment at least. Flying still gave him joy. I can do this. he thought as he flew about.

Wren arrived at the pitch. Thank goodness his tip-off had been right - he knew it because there was a swarm of people holding brooms and wearing red. He searched the sea of red for the one he'd only guessed was here - but it was a good guess - she'd gotten that passionate sparkle in her eye while she was talking about the sport. Yes he was here because he was curious about flying and eager to pick up pointers before his first lesson, but really he'd just been looking for any excuse to see Tanya. He spotted her doing laps around the pitch - And she calls me a bird, he thought as he marked how gracefully she seemed to stream by. However he also noticed there were quite a few people trying out who were older and probably more experienced. Tanya had said only seven people would make up a team, right? Well, being younger she had the advantage of being smaller, lighter and more agile. But did that help on a broomstick? A small knot of anxiety formed in the pit of his stomach as he started wishing with all his might that she'd win herself a spot. Well, he'd missed his chance to wish her luck before she started and he didn't want to call out and distract her now - he made his way to the stands to continue watching from there.

And the odds are not in my favor.

When Ronna circled back on her broom, relieved to find her flying wasn't completely rusty, she waited as Elli called out the teams. There was a big turn out. There always seemed to be a big turn out, which selfishly meant the odds of getting on the team was a lot slimmer, but more positively it meant that with more people trying out that there was more talent or lack of talent to shift through. She noted she was placed on Red team, against the two people she was hoping to avoid aiming at to avoid possible conflict-Cameron and Crash.

There really wasn't anything to surprising about her set up except she placed Minn to try out for Chaser. Then she realized Elli hadn't mentioned this year about seekers not being targets, "Standard rules of a game? So a pick-up game?" Ronna asked surprised of Elli. "Meaning... beaters can target seekers? A bit new for try-outs... but okay."

She pulled on the red jersey and tied it over her black tank feeling slightly ridiculous with the red jersey and her red jeans. Ducking her head she swung a leg over the broom and rose to the sky scanning it for bluddgers-her main objective. She listened to the sounds around her focusing, noting that Keith had already taken on the aggressive towards Jacob. Ronna was going to wait a few more seconds and weigh her options, she was contemplating targeting the chasers on the gold team. It would be a likely hit as they were all newer-or it would be unless a beater pulled off a save, which Cameron was at the very least capable of. Too bad he had a habit sending it straight back to the person he hit it, bus she could deal with that. One or two hits from bludgers were a part of try outs, right? And even if he did target her, it gave her an opportunity practice patience by not snapping and just taking the hits. He wouldn't be so petty as to target her, though, right? She was probably the least of his competition. It was unlikely her or Toby would make beater with Keith in try outs.

Tanya came down from her flying to hear the Captain's explanation of the try-outs. With a brilliant but nervous grin she nodded and took up one of the red jerseys and threw it on her person not caring that it was practically a size too big and almost covered the length of her shorts. Who care about silly things like that when there was Quidditch to be played! Seeing one of the older girls on her team already making a beeline for the quaffle she hung back just a few meters away in case she was needed for a swipe or interception.

Eun saw a glint of gold across the pitch from him. Yes! That was it! The Snitch was in the air. Putting on a push of speed Eun flew after the small golden orb. "Let's do this." He smiled as he felt the rush and the joy of the speed of his flying. Come on Eun, you can do this! he thought with a smile.

"Here goes nothing." she said as she flew toward the quaffle in the air hoping to grab it before Minn did.

Alright, try outs starting, now.

Ronna's eyes flicked over to the sound of a nearby bludger and she saw Leo from the gold team head for the quaffle to intercept Minn. Her job was to stop that from happening, right? Hopefully her lack of practice at batting wasn't going to show. She raised the bat and struck the bludger aiming it towards Leo hoping for a hit. It looked like the Red team was going for the aggressive-or at least starting off that way.

Hasty fingers had crumpld the fabric as he lassoed it around his head and wiggled inside, the gold jersey was a stark and bright color, and for some reason, he felt rather Hufflepuffy. The thought made him laugh. He’d been one of the students that had to borrow a school broom and he tossed his leg around it easily as he launched into the air. He paused, waited to assess which team was where and then flew to the goals opposite Alexandria. Leo, Bella, and Robin were his chasers, and he blinked as Minn was the first to jump on the quaffle. Leo was the first on his team, but Minn had swiped it free and was racing his way. Well, that was quick. Crash thought with a grin.

Minn swiped the Quaffle away from Leo at the toss-up, then the girl flew fast toward the goals. She would make her big brother and her friends proud. Her toes curled in her shoes as she zoomed, excited by the thrill that came with Chasing. Keepers usually sat still, but this was waaaaaay more fun! The girl giggled, holding the ball close to her side. She was determined to score!
