I don't have access to Hammer and Bolter myself, though I have read her posts on several forums. I like where she's from and where she is going. whee

Definitely worth reading if you buy them. I originally only purchased Hammer and Bolter for the story Phalanx to finish off the Soul Drinkers series. I looked through the other work on offer which included a fair few stories that have been released in anthologies including the Last Rememberancer and Iron Within from Age of Darkness. As well as Exhumed and Long Games at Carcharius from Victories of the Space Marines. In my opinion they are worth buying, you do get a lot of work from up and coming authors.

Call me old-fashioned but I preferred Hammer and Bolter better when it was called Inferno! and was still available in paper format. sweatdrop

I agree. Reading from paper is better than a screen in my humble opinion.

Admittedly I do prefer having a book in hand rather than reading from the screen. Still, I started with Hammer and Bolter when it was introduced at 2010 Games Day with the free CD they gave out, so I figured I'd get the software for the computer to read them.

It might be time to invest in an iPad, it is a handy device, though its price is a rather steep one. However, with more and more companies releasing their rules in both paper and digital formats, might be a worthy investment.

Just don't bother with digital black library books, those are waaaaaaaay too expensive. For a quid more you can have the actual book instead. gonk

I have found it strange that there is such a small difference in price. The fact that for an anthology of stories, it costs £6.50 here in England for the Ebook, and only £1.50 for the individual stories.

They have a monopoly on their own stuff, so yeah, they're going to price the ******** out of it like the greedy cunts they are. They know they can get away with it because you know, nobody else can sell their ebooks and if they do, it has to be for the prices they set.

Between job hunting and trying to keep myself occupied, reading is the only thing I've got.

What's Ravenor like? I've never read it before but I've always been curious.
