Gikishou noticed the relief and mentally resigned himself to not knowing, smiling and letting go of his hand when they were inside so that he could shut the door. "Anything you plan on doing?" He asked, then noticed him getting out the doujinshi. "Well that answers that question."He said with a chuckle.

"Well, quite a few important things happened, that's all," Kyo said, drawing some more pictures into the doujinshi. "But I can't help thinking that everything's been going in a circle. The biggest questions still hasn't been answered."

Gikishou nodded. "It's because your character isn't taking initiative. He's just... waiting. Well, so's mine I guess, but that's why nothing's being done. It's like passive and active sentences. You use a passive sentence, usually, when you're trying to not promise anything and placate someone. Like saying you are dissatisfied with a product and the store person say's they're sorry to hear that. What they said is a passive sentence. And active one would be one where they take action, like if they said 'we'll send you a replacement.' Or 'We'll give you a refund.' Our characters are being passive. Well, they're saving each other and everything, but they're not doing anything about where they are in the relationship or how they feel about each other." He explained.

"How long do you think it'll take until we find the answer to the question, then?" Kyo asked, a little concerned. "If everything keeps going around in circles, I'm afraid that something bad will happen and by then it'll be too late." He could only hope that it was nothing but a feeling. Time, however, was very limited.

Gikishou sighed. "I don't know, but I hope it's soon. I've already made my decision." He sat down and hugged him, nuzzling him lightly. "And I'll protect you and take care of you before and after you reach your own decision." he said, smiling sincerely. "The whole universe maybe pushing at you to decide, but I'm not."

"Well, I'd like to decide soon, but... I just can't," Kyo said sadly. "You'd support me no matter what decision I choose, right?" Of course, he had heard it already, but he just wanted to make sure that it was still true. For all he knew, Giki-san probably had changed his mind, though it wasn't likely.

Gikishou nodded and hugged him. "If you decide that you can't and don't love me, I'll still be your friend. I won't kiss you or nuzzle you, and I'll still drive you to school and everything like normal. If you do choose to love me, then the only things that will change are things that you want to change."

Kyo felt comforted in those arms and after hearing those words. He was happy that Giki-san was so accepting and understanding. People like him were especially rare, and Kyo felt very lucky that he was able to be at least friends with the junior.

Gikishou blinked at a sudden thought. "But if you say no, I'll still get to hug you right? Because friends totally hug all the time." He said, not wanting to give up that particular bit of their relationship.

Kyo giggled a little. "Yes, you do still get to hug me," he said with a cheery smile. "Besides, I like your hugs. They make me feel loved and protected."

Gikishou grinned and continued hugging him, tucking Kyo's head under his chin so that Kyo was completely enfolded in the warm hug. It helped against the slight chill that permeated the house, though nothing in comparison to the cold outside.

Closing his eyes, Kyo let himself fall peaceful in the warm enclosure. The near-silence that lingered, however, was bothering him a little. It seemed strangely ominous even though nothing should happen anytime soon. Everything just seemed a little too quiet.

Gikishou smiled and held him so that Kyo's ear was by his heart to hear it's beat, and also where the most warmth tended to be. He was oblivious to what Kyo had felt in the silence and just enjoyed it, closing his eyes.

There was the comforting sound of the beating heart that sounded like music in Kyo's ears. It wasn't a loud beat, but it did drive away the unnerving silence. Sighing in contentment, he just sat and listened to that rhythmic sound.

Gikishou smiled and held him like that for an hour or so, enjoying the peace and warmth that was currently snuggled against his chest. Soon, he was asleep, still holding him like that.
