Pebble circled the clearing trying to find out witch way Dew went

Wave ran over to Pebble. "Ok so that fox is gone, but where is Dew?" she asked.

Leaf ran, now on Dew's scent trail. Her kit's scent mixed with fox. oh no... she thought. Then Leaf ran faster, catching up to the fox and Dew.

The fox jumped on top of Dew, ready to snap her neck for a quick meal.

"I don't know,"Pebble said with worry.

Leaf made it to Dew and the fox, then ran to the fox and knocked it away with her head. She yowled her battle cry, then lept at the fox, clawing at its side in anger.

Wave looked around. "i'm scared for her, but are we safe here? what if more foxes come?" she asked, worried.

"I don't know,what about Dew?"Pebble asked

"um.... she ran off somewhere, but i don't remember which direction..." Wave said sadly.

Pebble sighed "If anything happens to her I'll never forgive myself,"

"Well neither will i, so don't beat yourself up, ok Pebble? We'll find her," Wave said, resting her tail on her brother's shoulder.

"Yah right I can't even see whats right in front of my face,"Pebble said.  

[Feathertail14]

"thats why you have your nose and ears," wave said.

Pebble sighed and pricked his ears to listen for Dew
