I didn't mind being pregnant with my son, but with my daughter I was sick all the time, in and out of the hospital with dehydration, and I had the worst mood swings ever. I was lucky that I never had to be pregnant in the summer.
As for the kicking... don't worry, you still get kicked around by them until they are at least 18.

My oldest is 22 and my youngest is 14. There is a 19 y/o and a 16 y/o in there too. They all kick me around, but...it is all in fun. I love them and wouldn't trade them for the world. They are really great kids. Congrats to the one that just had hers on 6/08. Sometimes I miss when mine were that little.Bump! User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Scarlett (my baby) was the easiest pregnancy, labor, and delivery i have had. If I was promised that kind of delivery every time I would have 10 more.

Well maybe not 10...

My son was an easy pregnancy and easy delivery however my daughter was truly a labor of love having been sick the entire time and bearing with 2 days of intense laboring. Interesting how my son has always been my easy child not a problem from the time he was a wee one till now as a teen. But my daughter has always been a bit of a rouge for me challenging me every step of the way.

We had it quite similar, my boy was a very easy pregnancy (and this is where it differs) but he was a 9lb 10 oz, 20 in. watermellon when it came to delivery time. He got stuck and after hours of pushing they finally took out the salad forks and pulled him out while another doctor pushed on my belly... I had passed out by then, but my mother was kind enough to tell me all that happened. My son was born a blue baby with apgar of 0 on the first and second check. He did survive, but he has nerve damage to his right arm. As he got older his arm has only gotten worse.
My daughter was just like yours, sick for 9 months, 2½ days of labor, and 18 years of a challenge so far. I love them both, they both are the same as they were before they were born, my boy was layed back, calm and slept a lot as a baby... and now I just consider him lazy. My daughter was hyper, screamed a lot, and never happy with anything... and now she is very active and very artistic.

Lil Jo my daughter turns 18 in 2 months... when I look at her I still can't believe that she will be "technically" an adult however to me she will always be my little angel. Makes me weep to think of how quickly time flies by and how there is so much more I'd like to do with her before she leaves the safe haven of our home. crying Why do they have to grow up crying

Okay... must change the subject as I'm feeling a bit weepy.

Next week I return to school... this is the second year that our school has been adopted a year-round school schedule. Last year was a bit challenging as the art lessons that I had planned seemed to drag and the quarter days seemed to rush past. I'm hoping that I am better able to handle this year as I've also taken on a new responsbility coordinating an art project that involves 40 other Catholic Schools... Not sure what I was thinking when I proposed this project, actually I really didn't think I would win the grant that followed my proposal. Now, I'm panicking. Have I bitten off more than I can chew sweatdrop

You can do it!

It's a great way to keep your mind off having an "adult" child.

3nodding How I remember it well, when our youngest son moved out, at first it wasn't so bad, and it's still not too bad I guess, but I sure miss my kids. This weekend when my middle son brought his family for a visit overnight, we were so happy to see them, especially since he is a recovered drug addict and I had to spend years estranged from him during that time. Those were extremely hard on me as we were always close. I'll never forget the day he finally came home not to 'accuse' and 'blame' us and the rest of the world for his problems, but to own his stuff....we all cried tears of happiness. The only other part that was worse, was being estranged from my grandkids as well...how I love them....glad that's all behind us now.

Anybody know anything about the two online gamers in Reno who almost starved their kids to death? It says they were obsessed with playing "Dungeons and Dragons" but I don't know of any MMORPGs called that. How long does anyone figure Gaia's got before free sites like this one start feeling the heat from "video game addiction?" People aren't really so very diferentiating about that sort of thing.

That's true Harbone. People tend to 'lump' all the eggs together in one basket and if one is 'bad' (shudder...exaggeration there) they are all bad. Hopefully that doesn't have an adverse affect here..... confused

mAOri waHIne I love your unicorn in your sig. Where did you get it?

Also, I am planning on going back to school too. My boss has kindly offered to pay for me to become an RN. I am now an LPN. Not looking forward to going back to school at 40 but....well, I need to further my career. Anyway, I guess that is latest news on me.

My sister did a complete career change when she was oh, 38? 39? Something like that...got out of computers and went back to school to become an RN. She went through a program that was specifically designed for returning students and said she liked it a lot.

She walked out of that program and into 3 job offers smile . And the funny thing is that she still likes it.
