Thank you Harbone. I guess the reason I am apologetic, is because I joined the Garden of Eden guild, it's nice to. I posted there like I do here, but there is a teenage member of the guild who is also new, and she posts right away over the top of people because she is bored. She was p.m.d by one of the mods because I pmd the mod about it and she said they don't like the boredom posting in their guild. Here I don't post because I'm bored, but I LOVE the acronym and song train games and the Gimme, Gimme and the Fav Gif of the day, and no one posted after me on some of the acronym games, so I assumed I p@#$%d off someone by posting too much or maybe posting over the top of them~I mean maybe they want people to actually read what they had to say before I come along and post over them..

Nah ~ we're far too lesiurely for that... we can always go back and read what we want to look at...
Besides, a few of our geezers are kinda shy, so they lurk and read the posts but dun say much ~ and we're ok with that too.

Precaution:
Just thought I'd let everyone know that there's been a few recent cases of accounts getting hacked. There is someone phishing for accounts and passwords through fake log-in screens. One confirmed site is: ***.connorchyea.profusehost.net/gaia.html [not clickable for your safety] So if you click anything on gaia that brings you to a log-in screen, click 'back' and continue about your business.
thanks for your time

fr34x0r, my boy, how, exactly, do these "hacks" work? Not all of us are, shall we say, proficient with the term.

And all that happened because you signed onto the sight the l33t lad warned us about, Ceymore? Yikes! Can you give us any more details on that? But first... Happy Fourth of July, fellow USAmericans! Here's a link to remind us of the document, signed 231 years ago, that we're making all the fuss about: http://www.law.indiana.edu/uslawdocs/declaration.html

Harbone fr34x0r, my boy, how, exactly, do these "hacks" work? Not all of us are, shall we say, proficient with the term. sorry, I haven't been on here much lately... this "hack" in general is more like a trick to get you to freely give your sign-in and password away. what they do is make a duplicate log-in screen of whatever site they're phishing from, then post their link wherever so get people to fall for it. basically, if you have enough common sense to check the link if something like that randomly happens(gaia's not gonna just kick you off whenever it feels like it), then you should be fine. if you all already knew this, then don't mind me...if I read or wrote something wrong, forgive me, it's 5:30am and I need sleep. add: oh, and happy 4th to all.

Gosh, no. I didn't know that.
So, what you're saying then, is, when you log into gaiaonline, make damn sure that it says "http://www.gaiaonline.com/" in your address bar?
Great gobs! I don't even check that thing half the time. I'll be more careful. Thanks for the warning.

Just wanted to let you know that I am leaving to go to Brookings-Harbor which is in Southern Oregon tonight and won't be back until tomorrow night. They don't have a computer where we are going, (ahhhhh-no Gaia) but I'll try to get on tomorrow night if it isn't too late, in the meantime I will be lurking around until it's time to go.... biggrin

Hey kids!!!
We're back from Texas again. No internet for a week almost killed me. Everything went well, my sister's new house is great... a few things that I would not have settled for, but all in all it is really nice. This is the first time I have flown AA since I was young, I thought it was odd when we landed in TX that the plane came in a lot faster than normal and was harder on the breaks than I remember (this is flight 9 and 10 in just over a year for me), when they used the wheel brakes the plane shuttered and squeeled really bad. I thought it was a one time thing, but the same thing happened when we returned. I took NW on all the flights before that and I have taken Sun Country a few times receintly and have not had that happen... not quite sure what I think about it yet...
Well, it rained every day that we were in Dallas... some days the sun was out for a short while, but it never stayed for long. Where my sister lives (Argile) there is not a real danger of flooding, but I hear there has been some real bad flooding in other areas around there. Other than the weather, the country side around where she lives is beautiful.
