Kaz eyed Kyubimon's back wearily, before nodding. "Fine I'll ride, I'll display the map , and tell you when to turn."
Gatomon struggled in Kaz's grip, "I'm fine, besides you may want this." She handed him his deck, and pulled one other thing from behind her back. Gripped in her paw like glove, was Rae's digivice.
Kaz smiled and stuffed the cards into a damp pocket, while clipping the digivice to his belt. He jumped up onto Kyubimon's back and they were off speeding through the caves. Taking the winding passages with breakneck speed. Kaz called out turns just in time to avoid slamming into the walls in the dark of the tunnels. "She's just ahead", he called out.

As they hit the chamber Kaz leapt from Kyubimon's back, and Gatomon from his shoulder. Kaz quickly slid a speed plugin card increasing Gatomon's speed as she flew through the air, slamming into MegaSeadramon hard.
Her tiny body was moving fast enough to throw the large digimon against the wall of the strange cave. While Kaz ran over towards Rae, Gatomon took up a defensive stance. She knew she wasn't going to get a second chance at that type of tackle, and she was still feeling the pain from where she hit the big serpent's hard body.

Kaz went rigid at first suprised by Rae's display of emotion, before relaxing in her grip. However when Kyubimon went whizzing by thier heads, he came back to his senses, taking stock of the battle. He knew they would need to work togehter, but there didn't seem to be any things working to the tamer's advantage. They were in MegaSeadramon's Lair, trapped. Niether Gatomon or Kyubimon had any advantage against this aquatic digimon. Thinking desperately he tried to find a way to stall, "Gatomon use Cat's Eye Hypnotism."
Gatomon rushed foward trying to run up MegaSeadramon's body, to get close enough to use her hypnotic stare, only to be swatted across the cavern like Kyubimon before her.

Gatomon felt her erratic flight cut short by her allies acrobatic leap and catch. She felt the moral shifting, and the spirit of battle hanging in the air. She prepared to add her attacks, and use teamwork to bring down the overgrown worm, when she started to feel the drops of water. She looked up distracted, and was hit with the full force of MegaSeadramon's attack. As she felt the shock coursing through her, the water amplifying the effect she managed to utter, "I really hate this water." before dropping to a knee grimacing from the damage.
Kaz was dismayed by how quickly the comeback he had hoped for, resulting from a united front of the two champions, was cut short, and turned around towards disaster instead. He was further diheartened to see the huge serpentine digimon turn it's attention from the digimon, and rush the tamers instead. Seeing he still had Rae's digivice clipped to his pants, he grabbed her by the hand and pulled her around to the other side of the rock she had been tied. Knowing it wouldn't buy him much time, he quickly handed her, her forgotten digivice, and pulled out his still soggy cards looking for anything that might revive his injured partner. The rock shook violently as MegaSeadramon impacted it, spraying rubble in all directions, and causing Kaz's meager deck to scatter hopelessly across the ground. Feeling a sense of hopelessness, Kaz punched the rock in frustration, shouting, "Ugh this is useless, it's just too strong, and we're even further screwed, here in it's own den!"

The chaos was all around them, and with both digimon apparently down for the count Kaz was at his wit's end. When MegaSeadramon reared back to finish them off, Kaz bent down, and slid a card at random, out of desperation. Everything seemed to slow down, MegaSeadramon seemed to be inching foword, and everything seemed to be muted. Kaz turned his head slowly, a strange sense of detachment envolping him. He saw Rae's mouth open, silently crying out, when something else caught his attention. Looking down he saw his hands were still swiping the random card, but in unbearable slowness, but what drew his focus was his digivice. It was glowing again, Oh great it's going to try and blind me once more before I die.
This time the digivice spoke to him, "You are one of the chosen. As a champion of, the Light of the Digital World, you will serve Justice. You will right the wrongs, and foil those who would destroy peace, in exchange we will grant you the power you need, whenever your need is greatest. Do you accept?"
Kaz heard all his digivice was saying, oh perfect I'm going to die crazy also, but it did say I would get the power I need, so what the heck, why not. "Sure voice in my head, I want the power. I accept."
The digivice pulsed once, before it spoke once more, "Good, you will have your power, when we have a task for you, you will know. We will arrange for compainions as we deem fit. Your first companion is being given a similar choice as I speak."
All of a sudden everything sped back up, and the noise was crashing in all around him, but the card he was swiping ignited in a brilliant blaze of blue light. The digivice's screen was illuminated by three familiar words, "Matrix Digivolution, Activate!"

Standing next to Doumon, still bathed in the radiant warmth of digivolution was angewomon. The angel digimon opened it's eyes to see that MegaSedramon was still bearing down on the Tamers, and when she looked over to where Kyubimon had been standing, Doumon now stood. Thier eyes met, and a slight nod was exchanged, before they both sprang into action. Angewomon took off flying, charging a celestial arrow as she flew. When it was fully charged, she released it, sending it flying straight towards the head of her opponent.
((I'm soooo happy, I won Ancient Garurumon! Heck that'll even play well into the champion of the digital world's light aspect. Yay!!!))

(( question I don't remember being funny in my Ancient Garurumon entry sweatdrop , now I'll have to go back and look at what I wrote. I wrote it on the first day of the event.))
Kaz was still a bit lost. He had just witnessed something that seemed impossible. He had seen time frozen, and a voice had spoken to him, made a contract with him in exchange for power. Unfortunately his distraction influenced his digimon, not much, but enough to make her hesitate for a split second.
That was all MegaSeadramon needed. This was his den, his home field, and he still had an ace left to play. He looked up towards the mysteriously translucent covering of his abode, and unleashed his attack. As water outside the dome started swirling and churning, MegaSeadramon called out, "Maelstrom". Immediately the water started whipping about, and chunks froze becoming wicked pieces of jagged ice. The deadly vortex of icy daggers bombarded the dome quickly shattering it, and causing the Ocean above to rush down towards MegaSeadramon more powerful foes.
The sound of all hell breaking loose, snapped Kaz out of it. Looking up, he saw Angewomon swooping towards him, arms out stretched. She reached him right as the torrent caught them. Tossing them around, and without Angewomon's protective embrace, Kaz knew he most likely would not still be around.
Angewomon knew her hesitation could have just cost them thier lives, but thankfully Kaz appeared alive, and looking over, she saw Doumon with her signature yin-yang force field.
Behind the angelic digimon a dark shadow loomed. MegaSeadramon was at home her in the net ocean. Now he had the upper-hand once more. There may be two ulitmates to one, but they were in the water now, and not even numbers could help the non-aquatic ultimates here.
