Lan smiled and hugged Kane, the markings dissappearing from his body and the scythe changing back into his sword. He licked his love's cheek and said, "I'm so glad you're allright," he sputtered and spit out, forgetting about the blood and goo on his cheek. Looking down, he kneeled and picked up the rose brooch and folded it into Kane's hand, his own lotus hair clip glistening. Lan's ring brushed against Kane's hand and he took his hand. "Kasa will never let us stop free loading. She likes us too much." he said with a giggle as they walked out of the house and towards the bathhouse.

"No," said Lan with certainty, squeezing Kane's hand, "I won't let her. Fate cannot overpower death. She may be strong, but death is unconquerable. Because I am death," he said looking Kane in the eyes as they stood at the door to the bathhouse, "She can't harm you"

((When we went scavaging in the warehouse))

Lan nodded and blushed before walking into the house. "We kinda need a shower..." he said meekly as Kasa rolled her eyes and pointed to the direction of the showers. "Just go" she sighed.

Once the two boys entered the showers, Lan wriggled out of his clothes, his wings making getting his shirt off kinda difficult. He blushed and moved over, letting the hot water hit him and he sighed. He looked over at Kane and gestured. "C-care to join me?"

Lan scrubbed himself, getting all the blood off of his arms and his body, looking over and he saw Kane's soggy wings. He blushed and moved over. "Here," he said smiling, "Let me help you with those" he gently ran his hands through the soft white feathers on his wings. He kissed Kane's shoulder and blushed. "My little angel"

Kane blushed when Lan began to ring the water out of his wings. "Ah, thank you. They were feeling heavy..." Kane noticed that something else was getting heavier; his breathing. He turned his head a little so Lan wouldn't hear it.

Kane bit his lower lip, trying to hide his weakness. He wimpered a little as he was begining to lose control of his heart rate. "Ah, Lan..."

"Stop jacking off and take your damn showers already!" Kasa yelled annoyedly into the room and shook a fist at the boys. "You're running up all of the hot water!"

Kane smiled sheepishly over his shoulder when he heard the reprimands. "Come on Lan, we should finish up. Then we can go home." Kane was glad that Kasa had broken the tension. A public shower was no place for romance. However, anything was fair-game back home.

Kane giggled at Lan's tickley kisses. "Yep. Me too. And I'm glad you didn't get hurt either. I'm sorry I always cause so much trouble." Kane wondered why he was so danger-prone. 'Is it 'cause I'm cursed?' Just then, a great light appeared in the middle of the room.

"Hello, boys," Fate said as she stepped out. "Well, well, I see you're all better, she said to Kane. "Now, let's get down to buisness. I believe you know why I'm here, and I don't feel like having to deal with any rebellious behavior tonight. So why don't we do this the easy way?" She smiled smuggly at the boys.

With a sigh, Fate said to Lan, "I said I wasn't up to this today. Can't you be nice for once?" With a serious, yet annoyed look she continued, "It's not like I particularly want to do this, I don't hate the boy, but it's my job. If you wanna complain blame God. Now get out of my way." Fate tried to go around Lan and reach Kane, but feared he would not back down. Still, she was determined not to have to fight.
