"Hey, Demidevimon? What are digimon?" Alice asked as the two treaded onto the dirt path. The small bat-like digimon spun around, "digital monsters." Alice still seemed very confused as to what he meant by that. "Don't think about to hard otherwise you'll little brain will melt," he remarked a wide spaced grin. Her gaze hardened a bit, "You're by far the smallest one, probably have the smallest brain too." She grinned back at him and even laughed. Demidevimon hovered in the air and gazed at his tamer, unable to bring up any come backs. He made a small hmph and turned away. As the two continued to travel onward, they managed to bump into a few other tamers, a Gatomon and Kyuubimon. "Other tamers are here too?" she said quietly. Demidevimon paused and stared quietly at the Gatomon then glanced back at Alice. "Com'on already Alice, it's turning light. We got to get our destination before then," he urged. She looked over toward him, "Why are we in such a rush? Are you meeting with someone?" "Yes if you must know," he stated.

Alice turned slightly to see the two tamers and gave a small wave before finally vanishing into the forest dephs. With the small bat creature leading, she felt a little comfortable since she had no clue how to navigate through this area. Directing never was her strong point, nether was explaining topics to other people. "What reason...makes you want to fight your own kind?" she asked. "Question this, question that, do you ever get tired of asking something from someone?" Demidevimon murmured. The two remained silent for a moment until he spoke once more. "I fight for something I lost a long time ago, thanks to you humans and a few of my own kind," he stated. "I wasn't supposed to be with another tamer, and look where I am? Stuck here with miss chatter box." he grumbled. Alice listened in carefully. "What did you loose?" she asked next. "Reputation, connections, everything that keeps me alive inside girly.""I'm sorry for your loss. I know how you feel." Alice muttered quietly. Demidevimon glanced back and smirked, "I highly dought that. You humans have all the things you need. You find someone who accepts, takes care of you, and so on. Many of us thrive on our own without any support." "I'm sorry to say this, but you're wrong," she replied. The two stood in silence again until they moved onto their destination.

While Kyubimon's back was turned, Gatomon had climbed up the tree, and was now on a branch above the pair. Looking down she said, "If that's not your answer then you'll know what it is when you find it. Hey Kaz there was a cool looking pond a little ways back, could we go play in it?"
Kaz looked up, "Wha? Ummm sure I guess. Do you guys want to come with?" He said, while looking over to Rae and Kyubimon.

Gatomon leapt from her branch doing a summersult, before landing on Kyubimon's back. Stradling the large fox's body she had a crazy smile as she shouted, "Giddy up!"
Kaz chuckled, knowing the two champions would work it out. "Yah the pond was this way. I think it had a stream leading into it, looked really nice." Kaz set off down the path.
Unknown to Kaz the little red dot he had fisrt seen on that holographic map had moved, and now they were headed straight for it.

Kaz chuckled at the thought of random vending machines sitting out in the middle of an african savanah. Looking over to Gatomon, he saw she was getting into mischief, "One second Rae." He walked over, to the spazzing digimon, and shot one hand out, neatly catching Gatomon by the arm. Pulling her off the beleagured Kyubimon, "Hey, that's not cool, play nicely now, or you can spend some time as Nefertimon." Kaz meandered back over to Rae, "I only now the area right near here. The rest of it's still a big enigma to me. Oh there's the lake over there." Kaz pointed to a rather placid calm looking lake.
Beneath the surface, a pair of digimon eyes watched the humans with intrest.

((I wasn't afraid, I figured if worst came to worst the digimon would be the only swimmers, while on the other end skinny dipping, with tact, and then whatever else))
Kaz watched the digivice display the info for MegaSeadramon, and quickly dropped his satchel, and undid the knot holding the rope to the end of his hammer. He rapidly swung the rope in great arcs over his head while sprinting for the water's edge. Finally releasing the rope with all his might, aiming for his new friend in the water.
Gatomon quickly went through the discarded pack, plucking Kaz's deck of cards from it, and running over to help, despite how she loathed getting wet.
MegaSeadramon couldn't believe his luck, the female tamer was running right for him. She looked perfect for a quick snack.

Gaz almost paniced when Kyubimon caught him, and dove under water with him still in her grasp.
Gatomon scrambled to grap the loose end of the rope, and was pulled down with her tamer, cursing the water all the way down. Under the surface, Gatomon caught the last traces of the aquatic snake slipping into the underwater crevice.
Kyubimon suprised Kaz with her swimming prowess, as she quickly entered the cave after the kidnapper. They popped up to the surface finding a chamber within the underwater cave, full of air. They looked around, but there was no trace of Rae or MegaSeadramon, just a long dark tunnel leading away from the initial chamber.

Kaz felt the rope he was still holding wriggle a bit, so he gave it a good yank, causing Gatomon to arc out of the water and land gasping on the shore.
"I hate the water!"
Kaz brought his digivice, which supplemented the light coming from kyubimon's flaming feet. The map came back up, and this time the red dot, and the gren dot were sitting side by side. Looking down the yawning tunnel Kaz said, "This way." He picked Gatomon's wet body up, and started down the path.
