i was gonna go to their show here last year
at the house of blues, and my parents thought i'd get beaten up or something.

Really? It was actually pretty tame, no moshing or whatever (they aren't really a band to mosh to) buuuut I had a really good time. Oh well, there's always next time.

There is no purpose.
It seems to me people do it so people will care about them, or get "attention ".
Thats the only purpose of it all. Seeing through my eyes, it's pathetic.

Cutting you veins will not release pain, only create more, but physical pain. I guess it takes you attention away from the emptiness feeling in you.


Truthfully, your only hurting yourself. Emo is a fashion statement. No dout, if you don't wear black and have emo bang your NOT EMO.

You say you don't care of what other people think of you, then why do you make such a big deal of it, looking for sympathy? I have no time to care about others thoughs of me. I herd a week ago when i was in a herry to my next class someone in the crowd lable me "Prepy girl."

i do it for alot of reasons; it relieves stress, i like the blood, and i like that burning feeling. i feel terrible in the end though.
and to nightcat63, i definatly dont do it for attention. i try to hide it (too late though. my mom already threw me in therapy)

I cut to take away the stress in my life. also I'm a rage cutter, when I am angry and upset I cut. I also cut to watch myself bleed, I guess it lets me know that I am still alive.

Only reason I've ever cut is to (stereotypically enough) "distract myself from the pain." Lame, I know. I've only done it twice and it worked both times. I don't cut deep enough to bleed though.

Except for a healing ritual for a family member, I drew blood as a sort of life-elixir-energy-lifeforce thing.
