CORRECT!
Picard's mentioned his home a number of times, even visiting after "Best of Both Worlds".
Kirk's has been mentioned a few places. Most notably, Star Trek 4. "Let me guess-you're from outer space?" No. I'm from Iowa-I only WORK in outer space.
The headstart is 48 hours, so, yes, you had time.
Technically, I left the question longer than I needed to, but I was sure someone would answer it.

Steel Sterling NEW question! === "Not many people know that the ship on the show was not CALLED 'Star Trek', it was called the 'Enterprise'...." xd We all know the words "Star Trek" don't get put together, unlike the words "Deep Space Nine" or "Enterprise" or "Voyager". Someone actually said the words "Star Trek" IN Star Trek. Who said "Star Trek", and what was the context? (Veterans, please mind the headstart.)
Zefram Cochrane, Star Trek: First Contact. The quote was something like:
"You're all astronauts on some kind of star trek, aren't you?"

CORRECT!
And Cochrane was correct, too. smile
My odd quote about the ship not being called "the Star Trek" was from Saturday Night Live. When Patrick Stewart hosted, his monologue was how he'd secretly been a big fan of Star Trek:TOS, so when he was pitched the script for Next Gen, he was thrilled. He then went off at length about all the things he loved- and was getting the details all wrong. That quote was the FIRST of his "mistakes". He was looking forward to meeting all the original actors-Shatner, Leonard Portnoy.... He loved when De Forrest Kelly's character, Boney, would get into arguments with Leonard Portnoy's character, Spock, who was half-human and half-volcano, and would torture Boney with his cold, volcano logic. xd He ended by reciting the show's opening ("Space, the last frontier...") and completely mixing that up, too.... then attempting to make the vulcan handsign while reciting their motto: "Live long and be happy". xd
Somewhere, a fan who can't take a joke was in deep pain over the whole thing. SNL's had a bit of a history with Star Trek. It will always be remembered for the episode where Shatner attended a Star Trek Convention, and eventually blew up and told the fans to "get a life!"

Never saw the first one... I would love the watch it, it must be really funny.
The second one you mention was great.

Steel Sterling Give them another day. smile =============== NEW question! === This is for the NextGen crew. Various comparisons have been made between ladies' man James Kirk and ladies' man William Riker. (Especially before the beard.) Kirk once explained a "no-fraternizing" rule, which helps explain his behaviour on planets. If he doesn't see it as proper to date the crew, he has to date off-crew. So, his quest is for women. smile Riker, however, doesn't have that excuse, and he STILL gets around off-planet. So, here's the question. Name TWO or more of Riker's NON-HUMAN girlfriends. (Technically, ex'es.) (I can name 3 off the top of my head-go for 3 or more for bragging rights.) Veterans, please mind the headstart....
Assimilating question....
Riker's had a number of non-human girlfriends.
One, of course, was Deanna Troi, who's 1/2 Betazoid.
Another was a short "fling" with Ensign Ro Laren, when the crew all had amnesia. She's Bajoran.
Another was "Soren". An entire episode was written around this one. That was NextGen's failed attempt to simulate the original series episode "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield". Soren was from a androgynous race, and thus was androgynous. The writers glossed over the technical details, but Phil Farrand, the Head Nitpicker, didn't miss asking the obvious question: How DID Will Riker feel about having a girlfriend who possessed male sex organs as well as female?
If Riker really WAS ok with that, I thought showing that would have said a lot. If Riker never considered that, he was an idiot. Some species are socially or biologically incompatible or antithetical.
Me, I thought it was a good question, but the writers were NOT going to address the consequences of their little storyline. I also question the scientific viability of a mammalian species that's androgynous, but I know that's outside most people's interest.

Steel Sterling NEW question! === This is a NextGen question. Frenchmen are reputed to break hearts. However, our Jean-Luc Picard suffered from a broken heart. Literally. He required an artificial heart. A) When in his Starfleet career did it happen? B) How did he get the chest wound? C) What was the last thing Jean-Luc did before passing out? D) Who did he first describe this incident to in the series? (We first heard about it when he described it to someone- who did he tell?) E) Was that his first encounter with that race? Veterans, mind the headstart, please.
A) He was a cadet B) A Nausicaan stabbed him C) Started laughing (I think) D) Wesley Crusher (in the episode "Samaritan Snare") E) Yes

CORRECT!
A) Technically, he had just GRADUATED, making him an ENSIGN, no longer a cadet.
B) Yes, a Nausicaan stabbed him.
C) Yes. He looked down at the knife sticking thru his chest, started laughing, and passed out.
D) Yes. He'd mentioned this in detail to Wesley. In the original incident, Picard sounds like he instigated the whole thing, insulting the Nausicaan at length, including insulting his family.
E) In the episode "Tapestry", when Q gives Picard a chance to rewrite the incident in his life, the episode ends with Picard discussing the incident with Riker. Picard begins to tell him of the very first encounter he had with a Nausicaan, predating that one, as the episode does the fade-out.
