My family's from the Philippines and last summer I went there for my first time in 11 years... It was quite an experience biggrin As much as I like the country, though, I'd really rather be here in America, and I'm grateful to my parents for that.

Good for you. I basically grew up in the Philippines, but then last April my grandparents and 2 aunts petitioned me to live in the US. Now I only get to communicate with my parents by phone calls. I miss everything, but I'd like to see what my experiences are gonna be later on.

Wow...

My Dad's from Malaysia and my Mum's from Thailand. I was born in Australai though. i don't really miss Malaysia. i went back this year for the first time in 8 years. No offence but my cousins family is really racist and cynical. My neice calls me "Australia People". She think's I'm really, really stupid. She asked me if I knew what tofu was. stare I do not want to go back there.

I was born in Taiwan and grew up until I was 3-4 years old..

My parents moved to US and I went along..

After 10 years, I never knew or remembered where I was born or what nationality I was...

It was when I reached 13 years old and returned to Taiwan..
everything was the same as before, but cleaner... =X...

now days, I visit Taiwan & Japan almost every summer...

Do you ever miss your native country? Do you ever want to visit it? I know I do.

i heard it's very hot where i'm from.. i can barely take the summers here. i don't know if i'd survive there. @.@ i heard the bugs are huge too.. i don't actually miss my country 'cause i grew up here from age 2.. but maybe for a visit, i'd go.

I never lived in my native country.
I visited once,
but that was like..when i was grade 2. [i'm grade 10 now]
but yeahh..it was really nice there
and i would go back without question.
but i'd rather just visit, because i think life in canada is easier.

I miss my family more than my homeland. But I do like to visit China once every summer (which is not happening...).
