Daedalus grinned and offered Zuleika a high-five as she came over and joined the pair - it was always fun when the cousins got to hang out like this. He watched with shining eyes as she shot off her arrows, then offered a small clap. "Ooooh, you always pick interesting ones Zu." Before making a face as their Auntie hit one each of his and Callie's prior targets. "C'moooooon, why's that gotta happen every year? Don't they know more than one arrow breaks these guys?"


Calliope shrugged and looked at her fingernails, wholly not giving a singular ******** about the health and wellbeing of the other partygoers.

She then smiled over at Zu, her dear cousin, and was about to say something before their shared grandfather made an appearance. Her eyes practically lit up - it seemed like it'd been so long since she saw him! "Look! Grandfather's here, and he's brought the maenads~" Calliope loved how they always seemed so enthralled by whatever music played and offered it their passion. The satyrs were creepy though.

On the one hand, this was supposed to be Mother's celebration. On the other hand....she couldn't help but smile at her father's antics, and those of his retinue. Hips swaying gently to the music, Euphrosyne scanned the crowd. Who needed an attitude adjustment?

Ah, there we are. She expertly fired off three arrows, each hitting their mark. A sulking harpy, a teen feline, and a daemon whose partner had just been stolen by a maenad.

Satisfied with her handiwork, she inspected the wine fountain. She sampled a glass and nodded to herself. That'd do.

Adorned with a sort of lacy and sheer outfit that was certainly not meant for public wear, donning the skull of some unrecognizable animal that seemed tangentially similar to some of the minotaurs that had begun appearing in Telrunya as of late, and her hair loosely tied back but still falling out in smooth, luxurious curls, the maenad emerged with her sisters once her God had sat upon his throne.

She swung her hips and threw her arms up as she danced through the crowd, her movements somehow both in sync with the rhythm and obviously off of it. It was a mystifying thing.

When she reached the table of her liking, she flapped her wings twice to jump atop it and then took the pole in both hands before beginning movements not meant to be seen by the young at heart.

Zuleika grinned, pleased that her choices had been noticed. "Why thank you," she said with a little curtsy. Then, she directed her attention to where Daedalus was looking. "You'd think the adults would have better attention to their aim," she remarked, making a face and folding her arms over her chest.

But when their grandfather made his appearance, she couldn't help but loosen up a bit. He was such fun, and the maenads and satyrs were so beautiful. "I love watching them dance," she agreed with Calliope. "Their movements are so beautiful." She did a little dance of her own, twirling around once and giggling. She looked lovely, but was distinctly out of time with the music. Unfortunately it seemed dancing wasn't particularly in her skillset.

A little ways off behind Theras, a portal appeared. Normally there would be smoke and cold and a whole show for the mortals. But tonight she was avoiding one such mortal. Her rascally teen godson, who should have been somewhere downstairs finding his own babysitter for the bag of fluff he'd brought home from last years party.

So tonight, her portal opened without fanfare and spook. She simply walked thru the inky darkness and appeared. Right in time to catch him shooting a couple of tentacled things.

Pausing in her advance, she couldnt help the next words out of her mouth. "Wtf are those things?" She asked, a little creeped out by all the arms. These mortals were getting weirder and weirder with their love making. She had thought tentacles were meant to be in the ocean, but clearly not....

Shaking her head, she held up her hand instantly afterwards and followed with "Nevermind. I don't even want to know." Before setting herself down besides him. And then noticing the new guy dancing around the floor. Man, Venus's taste in men was really starting to falter. She felt her face screw up in disgust, again.

" Whose the drunk uncle?" She hadn't seen him before, that she could remember.

Oh yes, Sonorilla could eat up those muscles if he'd let her. Yes daddy.

The God and his retinue happened to enter at just the right moment for her next line as she reached forward to softly brush her fingers against his impeccable pecs. "Why, it's a party, of course." She then moved both hands to take his in them - oh how rough and manly they felt - before pulling him towards her and, likewise, towards the dancefloor. The fervor was already beginning to seep in, and it was like her taught inhibitions were simply washing away with each passing second, leaving only feral instinct. "Come, let us dance~! "

Sol smiled after her but it turned more into a grimaced when her back was fully turned. Waaaay to blunt he mentally scolded himself as he took what was left of the food and headed up toward the second floor. He wasn’t even sure why he was looking for the pretty dark male Rak, they weren’t exactly a happy race and if happy and free I’m their other world his own was not. Shaking his head he focused on the party instead of more somber tones

If he was free he might approach and …nope he was talking to another Rak at a balcony, le sigh le sigh even if there was little chance. He moved to the edge of the railing to watch the happenings below but did glance at the other two now and then, he wasn’t lying about his allergies.

Then chaos.

The glowing galaxy like angel stared as people started acting weird... nothing one moment then different the next. Dance fever? The music was good but not that good. He heard something about this.. a warning? He just heard party and that had been all it took him to come. "Weird..." he lean further forward trying to get a bird eye view of what was happening below without directly taking wing.

Datum watched as the other male submerged himself in the water in an attempt to cleanse himself of the perfume. He was certain that the other winged fish was saturated in smell enough that the water was now polluted with the smell. Now Datum was probably going to smell like roses for the rest of the night. When the male offered him a sniff of his wrist, Datum rolled his eyes, though given the solid red color of his eyes it wasn't exactly an obvious eyeroll. He sniffed anyways, but he really couldn't tell if there was a difference the odor was forever burned into his nose.

He didn't want to have to deal with the fallout of telling the other male that though, "Uh, its fine." Datum answered. He winced in the direction of the grand entrance that was being made. "I think its usually a chick..." he said thoughtfully. Datum watched the dancing that was beginning, it was quite alluring, perhaps he would make his way over there soon to watch the show.

But it was simply not meant to be, why would he want to watch the exotic dancers when his very own prince charming was right in the pool with him. Flying fish began to dance around them and squirrels sitting on top of pool noodles were singing romantic songs as they floated by. Datum's tail slipped back into the water as he leaned towards the other male with a dreamy gaze across his creepy eyes.

Eruza couldn't make sense of what the female was saying. Azure had given him warnings about strange things happening occasionally, but he hadn't gone into detail so Eruza knew little about any deity or nemesis. He had no desire to join in their happy little dances though, he couldn't see a reason to celebrate, and life required balance. There was going to be a cost to such jubilation, Eruza just wasn't sure what it was yet.

That was until he was unknowingly stricken by an arrow and had the sudden desire to join them. He had never felt so full of life as this, even when he had been free. Surely he must celebrate! His tail swished from side to side, catching the rhythm of the music down below. The smile on his face seemed sinister with his pointed teeth glinting in the light. "Dance with me!" He shouted at the other rak as his feet pranced around delicately and gracefully. Eruza pointed at another pae present on the balcony [Sol] "Come, everyone must experience such bliss as a dance!"

Even the birds and the squirrels [that only he could see] wanted to dance! But the desire to dance had quickly passed. His tail flicked, and a nose came from his throat like a cat on the hunt. Surprisingly, it wasn't the dancing birds that he wanted to catch though, it was the angel he had spotted on the balcony. "I've been dreaming of you," Eruza sang at the other male.

Persika was just about to accept Zhixuan's offer of a drink, and attempt to escape and regroup somewhere along the way, when a series of things happened all at once. The music, lights, and dancing pae distracted her/im from the second pinch of the evening, which triggered an immediate about-face in Persika's disposition. Why was s/he on the stairs, moving away from the dance floor right now? This Dio guy hosting the party had the right idea, clearly. "D'you wanna dance? I wanna dance. We should dance," s/he announced to the harpy still holding her/is arm, unable to contain the urge to bop and shake her/is tailfeathers in time to the music.

Véa had long-since given up on the buffet tables as a bad job, but he hadn't moved too great a distance off. There was something altogether too disturbingly fascinating about the tentacled creatures currently ransacking one of the tables; he'd never seen anything quite like them. Unable to look away, he casually leaned against the next table over and watched the destruction, arms crossed over his chest despite the permanently fresh claw marks there (which he had steadfastly ignored since he'd been summoned).

Posed thusly and not wanting to alter it, Véa registered Ziva's approach with the barest twitch of one ear before turning just his head toward her, his eyes flickering from her angelic traits to the mark of her enslavement and then settling on her face. Interesting. "You wouldn't have. New arrival." Offering no other explanation beyond that, he continued, "Call me Véa," which he pronounced like VAY-uh.

Wow, yeah. Definitely would need more fermented fruit juice to get through this... Right at the end of her thought, Sula felt a sudden pinch to the side of her neck and clapped her free hand to it, rubbing furiously. Had she just been stung by something..?

That split-second of hesitation completely foiled her escape attempt and so she found herself faced with the strange faun and his increasingly erratic behavior again. Must be out of his mind with the, uh, spirit of the event. Though, who could blame him for finding her attractive? Her lovely face markings. Her bright red feet, a sign of good health and maturity. Preening a little, she barely noticed when Yipes turned his attention to Cascade. Instead, she looked around for a reflective surface to admire herself in.

Phiinae had briefly considered loitering near the table being systematically dismantled by the octocat-things because it seemed like other pae were giving the general area a wide berth. But that option went right out the window when the atmosphere took on a decidedly terrifying turn. Wanting nothing more than to be back in their little den brumating, Phiinae tried to flee, but their path was blocked by the sudden appearance of a dark doorway to nowhere. Freezing, the little snake watched the portal spit out a disheveled mini pae followed by a sack of something heavy. Phiinae could probably sneak by without the newcomer noticing, but could they handle the guilt of leaving one of their smol brethren behind?

Lykon had followed a feisty maenad into the building. He was fully ready for the party to begin, but the reception awaiting his deity was not satisfying enough. The male knew there was work to be done first. "I'll come back for you later." He whispered lustily at the maenad who had already moved onto a pole.

He took the opportunity to push a few nearby pae onto the dance floor, but then laid his gaze upon a harpy who was watching the dance floor. One did not simply watch dancing, this was an activity that required everyone's participation. He also couldn't just nudge a harpy to the dance floor, he had his complexion to think about!. Lykon paused to wonder what the gorgeous maenad from last night would think of him if he showed her some scars from a harpy... No! He was plenty gorgeous without a battle scar.

"Surely a regal harpy such as yourself knows that the best way to woo a mate is through displaying your beautiful feathers in dance!" A fire in his eyes sparkled as he said 'dance'. He resisted the urge to stroke one of her feathers, he needed those fingers for other activities.
