Cynril made eye contact with the cage once he entered the room. For the first time he stared long and hard at it, flashbacks of his childhood flooding and invading his mind. He blinked several times, swearing the bars of the cage looked much more bent than they did a second ago... His breathing patterns deepened and quickened.

"Those are good questions, Philip. If we have a chance to catch Glamis again, we should ask about them." Kwelin was always a mixture of impressed with the brownblood's sharp mind and unimpressed with his lazy attitude. Of course he hadn't managed to ask Glamis about these important details. Typical Philip had been busy with his head in the clouds. But the blueblood couldn't get too snappy at his friend. It wasn't like Kwelin had thought of those details himself. He grumbled under his breath and started pushing pieces of rubble aside to dig for more clues.

"Ouch- stupid garbage..." His foot caught on some broken pieces of wood and pain shot through his shin as splinters dug in through his pants. Kwelin hissed in pain and recoiled from it, bending down to clutch at the injury. Pawpa popped his head out of the boy's jacket at the sound of pain and climbed down to survey the scene. Kwelin took a moment to sit down on some broken pieces of rock to roll up his pant leg and take a look at removing the splinters while Pawpa squeaked at him, whatever their conversation was sounding irritated and animated.

He motioned for Philip, Avvisi and Makkah to keep searching while he handled this.

"Whoa hey, you okay?" Philip asked as Kwelin sat down. The blueblood rarely took a break so it must be pretty uncomfortable for him to do that. Concerned, Philip nodded at Avvisi and Makkah to keep looking while he stepped over to check on his friend. He'd been enjoying their theorizing about the ghosts and was happy to get a real chance to do some investigating with his partners. It was a shame Tzofia wasn't here but he understood her reasons.

"Ack!" Philip yelped as he tripped on some of the bookshelf remains as well and flew into Kwelin, landing on top of him! What a blunder! Pushing up, he flashed Kwelin an apologetic smile and hoped for the best.

"Oh jeeze guys!" Avvisi said shaking her head at the two boys. "You gotta watch out! Its dangerous here!" She turned back to her notepad and scribbled away. "Tho, those are great questions. Mind if i write them down?"

Avvisi took a step as she was writing, and stepped right onto a picture frame, cracking the glass into deadly shards. "Umm..." She said, looking at it. "Philip! Can i barrow your coat?"

OBSTACLE: An enormous picture frame that used to be hanging on the floor is now directly in your path. Walking around it means you're definitely in the sinking floor, but walking on top of it means avoiding huge shards of broken glass.

Odette was calm and at ease, despite her previous encounters. She wanted to help Cynril through this event, and that meant helping find items in the mansion related to the mutantblood who had been killed. The basement was the place to look for that child, according to the testimony of others. So Odette looked, as best as she could given the condition of the hive.

Immediately, she got her foot caught in something sticky. Great. These weren't her most expensive shoes, but it would still cost a lot to clean them. She sighed.

Odette felt a strong push, and turned around fast to face the culprit. When she was confronted with nothing but dead air, she took a deep breath. There was no reason to worry that the child ghost was violent, but perhaps he was angry? Odette pressed on, continuing her search.

Odette looked to the cage, and was surprised to find that the bars of the cage were even more bent then they had been before. She was far past the point of believing she was just imagining things. This only made her sad. Who would coop up those poor children in such conditions. Her bloodpusher went out to Cynril.

Oh! Odette stepped in something sticky again. Grimacing, she supposed she would have to deal with it. They were already dirty, so she didn't need to care much about it anymore.

A piece of ceiling tile broke off, and fell to the floor near her feet. It shattered the floor, and Odette found herself again in a precarious position. Expecting the fall, she at least had the time to use her aerokinesis to make the fall hurt a little less.
