The weather had been quite rainy as of late, despite it still being fall. Princess Rei took a long walk through the rain with her cloak on over her usual royal attire which consisted of a long sleeved, dark violet dress that went down to her ankles with matching flats. The skirt had a silver rose pattern embroidered onto it. She decided to keep her hair down out of habit, wearing her small golden tiara and some simple amethyst earrings in the shape of small hearts to go with it. Letting out a tired sigh, Rei pushed open the door to the bar and lowered the hood of her cloak. She was glad to be out of the rain, if only temporarily. Cautiously she walked to an empty table near the far corner and picked up the menu. 'Hmm, this place reminds me of somewhere, but I don't quite recall.' Rei thought observantly, noting the time was still a bit early that morning. She focused on the menu, browsing through it for a while.

Shirou was starting his first night on the job, he knew a thing or two about mixology since there was always a mini bar at the estate. He wondered what sort of people would make their way to a bar on a cold rainy day. An answer to his thoughts soon arrived as a lady in a velvet dress walked in through the door. He watched the black haired lady as she made her way to an empty table in the corner. Smiling mischievously, he walked over to her with a pen and notebook. "What's a beautiful young lady like you doing here in the bar alone? And so early in the morning.." Shirou smiled at her, remembering that it was indeed still early in the day so the lady probably wouldn't be getting any alcohol. Then again, he's not one to judge.

She managed to give a small, timid smile while looking at him while he asked a question. "I thought I'd stop by someplace different for a change." Rei answered him simply. She set down the menu after deciding on something from the large selection of food and drink that was offered at the establishment. The gentleman seemed to be a bit taller than her, sort of like most of the other adults she'd met by far. However, Rei guessed he must of come from far away too, by the outfit he'd worn.

Noticing that the lady had set down her menu, he went ahead and asked the usual question, "Well miss, have you decided what to have? Anything I can specially get for you since you decided on this place for a change?" Shirou leaned down a bit to hear her better and gave her side glance and a smile, it didn't hurt to flirt a bit during work hours right? It brings in the customers as well as a bit of fun for him. While he was closer to her, he noticed that she had a gold tiara on the top of her head. Was it simply for fashion or actual nobility? There weren't any special gemstones in it, so he couldn't be sure.

With a slight nod, the princess set the menu down on the table where she'd found it. She noticed he had gotten a bit close to her, guessing he couldn't quite hear her very well. "A small plate of chicken strips with fries and a glass of your best red wine please, M'lord." Rei answered the gentleman as calmly as she could manage, though her voice seemed to falter a little despite meeting this new stranger who was serving her that morning. She couldn't sense any sign of hostility, but regardless, she had no clue of his true intentions at the moment.

He quickly wrote down her order, noticing that her voice quivered a bit. It was small, but it was noticeable. "I'll put that order in right away for you, Miss," he said with a smile and walked over quickly to go place her order in with the kitchen. Shirou looked through the bar's wine selection, there were quite a few. He grabbed a bottle carefully of Pinot Noir as well as an ice bucket for the wine and walked back on over to the lady. "Will this suit your tastes, M'aam?" Shirou held out the bottle of wine for her to look.

Might I ask your name, sir?" the princess inquired curiously. Rarely did she interact with most employees of such establishments, but perhaps today was a once in a while exception. Her gaze shifted towards the man's face as if studying it for a moment, but looked away, trying not to seem rude out of respect.

As he was opening the cork of the wine bottle, the lady asked a curious question. Perhaps she was finally showing some interest towards her. He held back a sly smile and answered her, "Right you are, Ma'am. I am new, my name is Shirou Ryuunosuke." He set down the bottle for a moment and held out his hand for hers. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss..?" Shirou asked her as if waiting for her to introduce herself as well.

He was quite charismatic for a waiter, for she could tell he must enjoy his job by far. She remained patient as ever, a bit surprised to see the bar was mainly empty except for her and Shirou at the moment, though it didn't phase her. 'Such beautiful eyes, like a fiery sunset.' she thought observantly as if absentmindedly studying the man's face out of habit.

As the girl introduced herself as a princess, he raised his eyebrows a bit in curiosity. Now, what would a young princess be doing in a city like this? he thought to himself, observing her. The golden tiara made sense now to him. "Oh? A princess? Well then your highness, I hope you enjoy this fine wine," he continued opening to cork until it popped out and poured out a glass, handing it to her. As he was handing the wine over to her, Shirou noticed that that the young lady was staring or more looking intently at his face and eyes. He smirked and thought of something clever, "What's your favorite color, your highness? And I promise I'm not trying to be cheesy."

While Shiro poured the wine, she listened as he spoke, patient like before. She took the glass of wine from him, smiling shyly. "Thank you." she replied to his first statement. Taking a sip of the contents, Rei didn't smell any sign of poison or other unwanted things within the liquid. Once more, he spoke, asking but a simple question. The princess paused for a bit, still curious as ever about the gentleman while gathering her thoughts. "I like crimson red. It reminds me of rose petals." Rei answered Shiro calmly. Truly, this had been quite an interesting conversation by far.; Still, he seemed to be more of a mystery despite knowing very little about this person. She held the glass in one hand, sipping on the red wine every now and then while sitting back a bit in her chair.

A rose lover huh? Why do girls always like roses? Personally he thought roses were the most overrated and boring flower to exist, though girls always seemed to think they were romantic. "Hold on a moment please, you're highness," he said as he started to head back over to the bar for a moment. The restaurant liked to adorn itself in various flowers- fresh and fake. He searched through the back behind the bar, and found where the fresh flowers were kept. Shirou picked out the reddest rose he could find and placed it in a single small vase, bringing it back over to the young lady. "I do hope you enjoy this then," he placed the vase with the rose on the table in front of her, and while staring right at her. The colors of his eyes swirled like water colors on a paint canvas and finally settled on changing to a deep crimson red.

She'd never seen anyone able to change their eye color like he could, which she guessed was some kind of inherited trait. "Indeed, it's quite beautiful. Just like your eyes, be they your natural color or not." Rei replied observantly. "How about you, do you have a favorite color?" the princess inquired of him rather curiously, taking a sip of her wine. She didn't mind talking to pass the time, which gave whoever was busy preparing food in the back kitchen time enough to work on her order. Rei kept her focus on the gentleman, patiently waiting like before.

The young princess didn't seem as impressed as he thought she would. Interesting though, he wondered if maybe the young lady had seen other kinds of manipulation magic. "Ah, my natural eye color is a more closer to a blood red," he responded. Shirou and his family all had blood red eyes from their lineage. Though not all siblings could change their eye color like he could, they all had at least one unique ability. His face started to frown as he thought of his family, and turning to the side he gave a heavy cough into his arm. "Excuse me, I'm sorry about that," Shirou quickly placed a smile on his face again as he turned back to Rei, "My favorite color ranges from the light blue of a Hydrangea to the blue-violet color of an Iris."

Rei asked Shirou while setting down her glass of wine on the table. "I work as a doctor at the hospital. My guess is either you were cursed with an illness, or it was something you've had for a long time. I bet it's the former." she added observantly, hoping she hadn't angered him.
