"Algernon," Eve greeted wearily, inviting him to her table with the still-hot pot of tea she'd set out. It definitely was not one of her business neighbor's mainstays, but maybe his brief excursion had left him feeling adventurous. "We've fished out some pieces of the Burning Man's puzzle while you were out. Besides what Horace turned up, it's hard to tell how much these details can help us... though it seems Ezra has had some control of his own body since before the Conference, maybe longer. Did you see any signs of that when you confronted him?"

"I'm right here," said Ezra. "Fully in control of myself. As I have been."

"But which one are you?" Horace frowned, loudly, at Lord Ezra/Ezra#2/Burning Dude.

"Ezra," said Ezra. His eyes glinted that awful unnatural yellow.

The eyes. There was a flicker in his eyes when they looked less terrible.. Alg glanced at Eve and sent the message mentally. He simply didn't want to discuss it in front of which ever Ezra was in control at the moment.

"Thank you Eve," Alg offered as much of a smile he could muster and did move to try her tea. "No word from Jeremiah and the others?"

Eve, quite used to telepathy at this point in her life, gave Algernon a neutral nod. She glanced over to Ezra and saw the yellow eyes and any warmth she might've had in her expression was long ******** gone. "Not yet," she answered to Algernon.

Leila was silent. She turned, so very slowly, to look at Ezra for herself. Her hands were ******** trembling and she couldn't stop them.

Nasir slipped in with the group quietly. Some of the furor had died down, especially since they had brought Ezra back with them. Once back in the room he took a breath, and - out of his own curiousity because things seemed oddly calm - looked through Trouble's eyes to see Ezra as he stood there.

Horace took a deep, deep breath. Then he spun on his heel and headed back to his scrying glass (which was just a fancier name for a silver dinner plate - he was becoming vaguely attached to it). He sank down, crossing his legs, his back to the rest of the people. They made his vaguely uneasy, but he tuned them out through sheer force of will, or he tried. "Show me where the guitar, the stone, the music is." He placed his hand over the plate, thumb to thumb, forefinger to forefinger, and breathed on the silver, fogging it up. Horace hummed tunelessly and swiped it away, staring into the metal surface.

His back felt uneasy, the people were behind him and he couldn't see them, couldn't see...

"Nasir.." Wil moved to him, both familiars peeking out of his hood. He assumed Trouble would return to his boyfriend.

"Everything went okay?" He didn't have much he'd done or seen but she showed Nasir the page of his sketches. Of Ezra's face, peeling with flames, and the two girls.

<I'm sure it's the Noble Ezra,> Leila beamed to Horace and Eve and Algernon in turn. Carried along with the information was an undercurrent of grief, guilt and apprehension. It would have knotted up her stomach if it were the younger Ezra, but the comparison was still night and day even with that baseline. She really did not want to be in the same room as this man.

If anyone could sip their tea furiously, Eve sure as hell was pulling it off.

Horace sees the music, the stone, the guitar. But not enough context to tell him anything about where the items are.

Nasir joined Wil, blinking back out of looking through Trouble's eyes and looking towards him. "Yeah, actually. Kind of surprising with all the lead up, you know?" His voice was quiet, blinking as he was shown the sketches.

"How'd you see this? There wasn't anyone with him." Obviously, he was alone.

Wil motioned to the corner he'd taken up on his own. There was a mirror on the floor and he curled his fingers around Nasir's to lead him there if he wanted.

"Scrying.. with a mirror and some quiet. I think it helps that I'd met him.." He rubbed his bare thumb again as his eyes drifted to Ezra, voice also low, "There was a gate. And these girls."

He took the paper and scribbled 'Give back the world stolen from them' so Nasir could see it. Now that Ezra was here in the room he didn't feel comfortable talking about him like he wasn't.
