After making a good amount of headway, Sullivan veered off the path and out into the grassier areas. There was a short cut he could take to cut the distance and he intended to do just that. Taking a moment, he flung the knapsack around off his shoulder again, digging in it with his still occupied hand to pull out a small journal. He was certain he knew exactly where he needed to cut through, but it was always good to make sure that his cartography skills were in check.
Slinging the bag back onto his shoulder, he maneuvered the journal to his now free hand, still holding the pokeball in the other. It was about this point that he decided it would be best to introduce e himself; it could be troublesome if he did it while in front of his family. Who knew what kind of impression they might’ve left otherwise. With a quick flick of his wrist he tossed the ball up into the air, watching as the steady stream of white light struck the empty space in front of him before taking the round form of the Rowlet he’d acquired.
The bird ruffled her feathers, head shaking before round eyes focused on the individual who took to kneeling in front of her. Sullivan cocked his head to the side, eyeing the bird a moment before his grin returned and he raised a hand to give a little wave at the bird in greeting. Her own head tilted to the side as she stared at him before extending her wings and giving a little ‘Row~’ in greeting. She certainly didn’t seem put off which was always a good sign. Sullivan glanced back at Junpei, who was sitting silently watching the interaction. He could tell he was more focused on his duties than greeting the new comer, though by the way his tail wagged he seemed to enjoy the new company.
He reached a hand out and patted the Rockruff between the ears again, glancing to the Rowlet and scooping her up to let her rest on her shoulder. He stood back to his full height, keeping a hand held up to help keep the Rowlet in place before continuing along the path. She certainly seemed to enjoy the view and ruffled her feathers again.

With the Rowlet on his shoulder and Junpei at his heels, Sullivan was back on track. And ‘back on track’ meant heading off the regular path to check his maps. Only a little way off and he was flipping the notebook open, flipping swiftly through the pages until he found the one he was looking for. Each page was decked out in sketching and watercolor-level coloring, nothing fancy but just enough to differentiate the terrain. Of course, that just meant a lot of blues and greens but he only used color mildly. It was an interesting thing to look through to say the least.
He hesitated only a moment, hazel gaze studying his surroundings and cross checking with his etchings. He tapped the page and moved in accordance, Rowlet watching curiously as the young man acted as he did. She didn’t quite understand what he was doing and he certainly didn’t speak as much as the caretakers back at the lab, which made it all the odder to watch him. Soon he was maneuvering through some brush and scaling down a small cliff side without hesitation. She ruffled her feathers here and there, but picked up quickly not to move to much as he took what was less than a conventional path. He even had to scoop the Rockruff up at one point to rest on his other shoulder during his climb, something that the grass owl picked the rock hound didn’t enjoy.
Soon though the climbing and maneuvering was done and they were back on a path right outside of what seemed to be a bustling city. Sullivan was still grinning, looking rather proud of the accomplishment though he had fished out a pencil and made some adjustments to his notebook in the process. He snapped it shut once done and tucked it away, raising a hand to pat the Rowlet again for her good behavior in the process before picking up the pace and swiftly heading into Hau’oli City.

Mitsu had no idea Alejandro was such a speed demon. It made him wonder how many special effects his show used and how much he did himself. Whatever the case, Mitsu didn't stand a chance in their race. It was too bad Alejandro wasn't like a bear and had stubby legs. Being challenged to a race had gotten all four of his Pokemon fired up, and it gave him a chance to learn more about their behaviors. Cazador and Destello were confident winners, both of them looking quite pleased with themselves. Reina was a mellow winner, though she certainly was competitive. Pooka, however, seemed more focused on fun rather than anything else."Aw, thanks, babe! You're pretty fast yourself. A couple seconds more in your head start and you probably would have won."Alejandro waited as Mitsu handed over his Spinarak for treatment and conversed with the pink-haired nurse. Alejandro snorted. And, Mitsu said he wasn't cheap."I guess it's better than nothing, but I still want a proper reward from you~."Of course, he hadn't raced expecting a prize, so it wasn't a big deal. But, there was no harm in being a bit playful. Alejandro followed Mitsu to a table and sat down, Reina climbing down to sit lay next to him as Cazador, looking as if he had no idea what he doing, curled up around one of his feet. Destello decided sitting on the table would be fine, and Alejandro leaned down to pat Pooka so she didn't feel left out. She jumped up to sit next to him, her tail wagging happily. As he waited for their food, Alejandro couldn't help but stare at Mitsu. Something about him still seemed familiar, like he'd seen him somewhere else outside the picture Yukari showed him. It was really bugging him."...Does everyone in your family have hair and eyes like you and your siblings? How do you guys get them like that?"

Mitsu wasn't even amused. Fake jewels were the worst. Pretty, yeah, but he didn't do fake. That was probably why he only had a total of three tiaras in his collection."Are you proposing to me? After he was done eating, Mitsu waited for Alejandro to finish his plate. He watched Mizu and Ito play a little game of tag together, Hoshi watching and clapping as if cheering the current "it" on. At least Ito wasn't afraid of his team. That was a good thing."Ito?""Spin?""Do you want to ride along in my bag with Mizu? There's room for the both of you.""Phi! Phione!""Spin~!"Mitsu smiled at the two Pokemon. Ito was a bit smaller than most Spinarak, so he'd be able to fit in the bag with the Phione. They were cute together, like budding best friends. Alejandro finished his lunch and Mitsu picked Mizu up to put her in the bag, Ito crawling up to join her. Once the two were situation, he picked up Hoshi and stood."Alright! To Hau'oli!"

Dallas and Beltigre made their way up the pathway of Route 1, the man walking with a thug's swagger, and the Litten making a poor impression. But, it was to be expected with a new Poke'mon. She (and Dallas, for that matter) had a long way to go. "You'll get it eventually, Beltigre," Dallas commented. "Besides, who could be made as such a cutie little kitty-"
Dallas stopped in his tracks, and quickly stood taller and switched from a doting smile to a scowl; he spotted someone coming up the path, and shot him a big nasty look. "Whatcha lookin' at, pal?" Dallas said. "Why you staring? I don't got any candy for ya!" As the guy got closer, it became clear that the guy had gotten jumped by something with alot of teeth. "Geez, you look like hell," Dallas taunted. "If you want, I can beat the other side of your face to even it all out."
The man (a fisherman, by the look of it, recoiled and shook his head "No way! I don't need anymore trouble! I just wanna get rid of this hell-raising Poke'mon and get on with my life!" Dallas perked up at that; a hell-raising Poke'mon sounded like something he'd like to get his hands on. "Oh yeah? What kinda Poke'mon we talking about?" Beltigre let out a curious mew, and climbed to Dallas' shoulder to get a better view. The fisherman sheepishly reached into his bag, and produced a poke'ball. "It's called Aklor...it's some sorta steel shark. I caught it yesterday and it....it-"
"It bit the hell outta you?" Dallas asked coyly. He laughed at the man's misfortune, and Beltigre tried to mimic. The man didn't seem to be angry about; he actually looked on the verge of tears. "Alright, alright, make fun of the poor guy, why don't ya?" His voice wavered, but got angry. "Now leave me alone, I'm gonna release this thing back into the ocean!" He tried to walk by, but Dallas put a hand on the man's chest. "I could take it off your hands," Dallas said with a smile. "For a price, of course."
After five minutes and some threats, Dallas left the fisherman where he was, and went down the road with his new stuff. "Geez, I wasn't serious about taking another Poke'mon from him, but hey, Combee is a cute one! And this Aklor is bound to be a great one, too." Beltigre mewed sadly; she didn't seem to agree. Dallas noticed, and gave her a reassuring pet. "C'mon now, I ain't gonna forget about my lil' partner! We're in it to win it, after all!" Beltigre got excited, and ran around Dallas' legs as they walked.

As they kept travelling down Route 1, a wild Poke'mon darted out of the trees and started pecking at Dallas' pack. It must've smelled the berries he had just recieved (read:extorted) from the fisherman from earlier. "Hey, get offa me!" Dallas growled, flinging his pack off of his back. The Pikipek took off for his bag, much to Dallas' ire. "Alright, that's it! Let's see what an Aklor can do!" Dallas grabbed the Aklor's ball, and tossed it out into the road.
The angry little shark popped out, and started biting at the air before it realized it's surroundings. It stared at Dallas angrily, and started to charge at him. "Hey! No!" Dallas scolded him, and Riptide actually stopped and deflated its anger. "Good! Now go mess up that Pikipek and get my bag back!" Dallas pointed at the bird Poke'mon, and Riptide put two and two together easily. It rushed along the ground, leaving a small rivet in the dirt before it jumped and bit the Pikipek extra hard. The bird squawked loudly, and quickly fainted. Riptide shook it for awhile before his trainer ordered him to let go. "That's enough, tough guy," Dallas said. He gave the Aklor a pat, and the shark fidgeted and started to n** at him.
Dallas quickly returned him, and sighed. "Fiesty little b*****d," he mumbled. "Gotta spend some quality time with him so he don't bite off my digits." Beltigre nodded in agreement, and nudged Dallas' bag to him. "Alright, let's get going, girl," the thug said, throwing his duffel back over his shoulder. They started off once again, getting closer to the end of Route 1.

After winning a successful battle with a Pikipek, Dallas was feeling pretty good. As he marched on down Route 1, he couldn't help but wonder what the rest of his adventure was going to be like. Naturally, he knew there was gonna be plenty of battling. He was a fighter at heart, of course; he loved a good fight as much as the other guy. But there was also that part of him that didn't just want to fight his way to the top. Dallas also wanted to show off his love of Poke'mon. And as far as he was concerned, there was really only one way to do that.
Which is why it was so important to get to the docks and head to Sinnoh. The only thing he wondered was, would he be ready? Of course I will!" he thought. I'm the best of the best, after all! He glanced down at Beltigre, who quickly met his gaze and took that as a sign to try and climb up him. "Hey! I don't need your validation..." She ended up on his shoulder, and started to swat at his collar. "Oh, you just want to play rough, eh? Well, you'd better be ready to rumble!" Dallas played with his Litten for a good while, which helped kill the time as they marched on.
But soon, the route became much more firm, and the outskirts of the city came into view. "Alright, we're one step closer! Let's go!"

Dallas stormed back onto Route 1, a pissed off look on his face and his hands in his pockets. He didn't even feel like pampering his Poke'mon, which was something he actually liked doing. What a pain in the a**, he thought. he had started off pretty strong, but now his momentum was all screwed up. He slouched, and let out a sigh as he decided to take a rest. He found a nice comfy looking spot to sit on a bench that looked over a nice view of the ocean and, after kicking the young couple that was sitting there to the curb, Dallas took a seat, and stretched out. "Ah...gotta say, this dump has a great view."
Suddenly, Dallas' belt rattled, and one of his pokeballs opened up on its own. Out came his newly 'obtained' Combee, which stared at Dallas with three silly smiles. All three faces started to babble as it flew closer to Dallas' face. "Hey, what's the big deal?" he said, leaning forward and cocking an eyebrow. The Combee looked kinda scared, and all the faces frowned. Dallas scoffed out a laugh, and gave the bee a pat. "Heh, okay, keep it down, you lil' knucklehead." He gently forced the Combee to land, and it ended up propped on one side of its hexagonal body. "Ya know, you're gonna be really strong some day," Dallas told her. "You might be a cute lil' goober right now, but with my training, you're gonna be a real contender. Yup, a real Queen Bee. Hey, not a bad name for ya. Ya like it?" Barely understanding, Queen Bee started to babble again, teetering from left to right. "Okay, chill out. Got a rep to keep, after all."

Saru bombed chasing after the nimble child as he zig-zagged between people and Pokemon in an attempt to escape Saru who gave chase aided by his equally nimble Simion Pokemon. Chaos, the absolute embodiment and idea of discord and madness had been unleashed upon the poor inhabitants of the bullet train. Satoshi had accidently upset the normally mild-mannered pig monkey but like any child fearing the consequences did something stupid and blamed it on Aipom who in turn caught the raw end of a bad situation. From there it only escalated out of control further. In the end, Saru calmed the situation but not before the train cabin was destroyed and the other guests were left thoroughly upset.
Realizing his mistake Satoshi did the only thing he could. He ran. As soon as the train doors pulled open Satoshi was on the platform making his bid for freedom. Saru had just barely sensed the impending need to escape before Satoshi was on the move. He'd not even scolded the boy yet but there was no time to waste on idle thought. Releasing Kikazaru, Iwazaru, and Mizaru Saru ordered them to give chase. Satoshi was still young. Prone to emotional outbursts and his temper was untamed. That plus his natural affinity for the Aura made him as dangerous to others as himself. Saru couldn't afford to lose track of him. His emotional state was already peaked. If the Aura flared up now. Satoshi could crash.
The chase lasted much longer then Saru had thought possible for such a small kid but over it was. Satoshi was exhausted, laid out on a grassy field that overlooked the ocean panting like a Poochyana. Saru was in much better physical condition, even still, he was tired and needed to rest. Dropping to sit cross-legged beside the boy. "Why?" Saru asked between gasps keeping an eye out for his trio of Pan's who he was sure were close behind. "I didn't want to be in trouble.' Saru laughed lightly. "You're in more trouble that you run then had you faced the problem you caused." Satoshi didn't seem moved, or to care.
"Why do you care?" Satoshi barked getting to his feet and making to leave but paused catching sight of a trainer and his Combee. This kept the boys attention for the moment. "Because it's my responsibility to teach you, to inspire you, and to encourage you to be better than you are." Saru answered earnestly. "You and I share a gift that is as much a curse. If you let it, it will consume you with rage." Saru spoke from experience. The aura had been a curse early in his childhood and had caused many more problems than it could ever have solved. "Just leave me alone."
Satoshi wondered off towards the trainer and his combee leaving Saru to watch with caution. Saru didn't like the strange sensating of hot and cold he felt from this trainer. He was to funneled and flashed for Saru's meager aura to pinpoint any of value. Worst still the aura seemed taxed for now and saru found focusing it too difficult. "Hey mister, is that your combee ? Mind if I pet it." Once again in typical child fashion Satoshi acted without thinking and made to pick up the man's Pokemon.
