Solely focused on the yellow unicorn fauny and his thoughts already straying to what they might do while alone in the jungle, Himeros had let his attention lapse on the general surroundings. Not that there would have been much he could have done to defend against what happened. It was the jungle; he gave little thought to a sudden, sharp pain in his neck. Darn bugs! Must be some massive mosquitoes out here.
Then a second. And a third. And a fourth. By that point, he'd started to feel a bit woozy, like a nap sounded like a good idea. Maybe right here...on the ground. His free hand reached up to his neck to see if what had bit him had left a bump. His hand returned to his cone of vision with a short, pin-like reed that he stared at blankly for a moment in confusion. Eyes rolling back, Himeros stumbled and slowly fell to one knee...then both...then one hand...
He felt Lemon Hearts' hand pulled away just as everything went black.
*****
The god began to stir slowly, the odd groggy feeling lingering for some time. He normally didn't have such trouble waking...wait, why was he asleep? Memories flooded back slowly, the pain in his neck, the darts, the sudden drowsiness, then blacking out. He was awake now at least, but still lying on his side on the ground, it seemed. From what it felt like at least. He couldn't see much with something over his eyes. Hmm, moving was awkward as well.
A tested movement attempt led to the realization that his hands had been bound behind his back. Himeros mumbled to himself, "Well, I'm willing to try anything once," with a hint of amusement. Then, he registered the collection of voices around him. Either Lemon Hearts had a new side to her he'd yet to explore...or something else was going on here. Interesting.
Before he had time to think on this further, someone had grabbed him by the shoulders and was shaking him while shouting hysterically. Mildly perturbed by the screeching in his ear, especially with the way his head felt, Himeros dropped his aloof air for a moment, showing no effort in the way he easily shrugged his shoulders free of Pelagios' grasp. The blindfold had shifted in the exchange enough to have risen up over one eye. Said cobalt orb blinked open and surveyed his 'attacker' for a moment before recognizing his twin's crazed, lovelorn stalker. Then, the sparkle of playfulness returned to his demeanor and Himeros smirked, leaning back and pushing lightly at the other's shoulder with his foot to put some distance between them. "Woah there, sugar. Before we get to all that, the safe word is 'banana', mkay?"
With the nymph at some distance, he had room to look around a bit now, at least with one eye. Himeros rocked back a bit, resting comfortably and seeming relatively at ease despite his bound position. Had something wanted to make sure he didn't escape? Silly notion though... There were a lot of Pae here, most looking upset or even panicked, and beyond...some sort of wall? No...a cage. The jungle surrounded them on all sides beyond and over to one side, he noticed some sort of small creature standing outside with a huge mask. What in the...?
Well...this IS interesting.
Quote: Aaaaaand everyone else in the cage. XD

Well... she didn't seem mad at him. Rather opposite infarct. She seemed...worried? "Aahh..hah.. sorry. It was a rough party..." he coughed a bit, trying to clear his throat of any awkwardness (as if that even worked.) Though now that she mentioned it, getting out of the sun seemed like a good idea. The bright lights were hurting his eyes. "Though, I think I'd like to get out of the sun...yeah." he nodded, doing his best to smile at her as she looped her arm through his.
He walked with her slowly, for a few moments in silence. What did he say? What could he say that wouldn't end up with him putting his foot in his mouth? "Are you doing alright?" he asked...then mentally facepalmed. Of course she was, look at her. She looked like she was fairing hell of a lot better than he was on a good day. Happily married, kids of her own, no curse. Yup. Definitely much better.
Wait, wasn't there more pae here than before? Blinking, Pothos looked around confused a moment, not sure if he was imagining things or not. "Hadn't..." he began, then stopped. Maybe they all just went inside...or too the beach or somewhere else having fun like normal mortals do. Yeah that had to be it. He didn't feel Eris around, so she definitely wasn't here...
...right?!?!!

"Aaahh..." a contended voice sighed somewhere at the beach. Resting on a towel, body oiled to perfection, sunglasses protecting his eyes, bright pink speedo once again adorning his body, was Adonis. The flexing god of desire had made his way down to the beach for a moment of relaxation and sunbathing. Every so often he rolled over into a new position, stretching and flexing as he did so to make sure the sun reached him evenly on all sides. Couldn't just let one side get bronzed now, he had to do it all!
Sitting up, Adonis lowered his shades a little to watch the pae milling about the beach. Not as many as he thought, strange. Where had they all gone? And where was his lovely Venus? She had been strangely absent this party and he was starting to wonder what might have happened. "Perhaps my services are needed..." he mused to himself, standing up and picking up his towel. He made his way back to the disembarking area and glanced around. A strange tiny mask? Foot prints leading into the jungle? Something really was going on here...
... and they were doing it without him! "Never fear, I am on my way!" he said to no one in particular and followed the foot prints into the jungle. Maybe there was another party waiting to be started!

The night before had left Nyra pondering some strange feelings the next day. She didn't like trying to decipher...feelings...but she couldn't explain her own actions. Why had she acted like that? First, going up to some strange bird and saying all those nice things about her. Then, being possessed by the urge to mash lips together. Why? She couldn't explain any of it; it confused her, which in turn made her angry.
Clearly, it was all this plush luxury and free food. She was losing her hunting edge, her warrior's instincts! It was with relief that Nyra heard they were stopping somewhere and could get off the ship for a while. Good. She needed to stretch her wings. Get out of here for a while and get away from the weird feelings and things.
The open air was as welcoming as a warm kill on a cool night and the monochromatic bird soared into the heights as swiftly as her powerful wings could take her. Up, up, ever up towards the bright sun, then she slowed her ascent, seemed to hover for a moment, then dove towards the earth again. The rush of adrenaline made her feel alert and alive, and Nyra grinned wildly as the wind rushed past her face and around her. The ground came closer and closer, and only at the last moment, she flared her wings to skim lightly over the top of the jungle canopy. Her hunting instincts were alert as well and focused in on some kind of disturbance down on the ground. Shouty Pae. It wasn't until the screech of another bird cut through the air that she really started paying attention, however.
Was there a problem? Something about animals in the jungle...she'd heard that before leaving. Couldn't be worse than dark forest beasts, she reasoned. She could handle any regular tree beasts. Was there something down there? Something to be hunted? She welcomed the challenge, and it would be good to get this break and feel something squirming between her talons.
She hadn't seen any sign of her boys yet. Were they in trouble? They had a knack for finding it. Something darkened in her gaze at the thought. No one touched her boys. Her demeanor lost the joy that had come from the flight, filled instead with dark thoughts of what she'd do to anyone who dared touch her boys.
Nyra's eyes flickered towards a slight movement below and she tucked her wings, diving through the canopy for a better look.

ALL CAPTURED PAE
The little masked Pae hissed at Pelagious when he attempted to talk to it. The little one apparently didn't want to be talked to, and instead waved it's spear around in his face before leaping and spinning around to a rainbow Fae. How dare this Pae touch it! Wait, was it touching it some more!? It growled at her, trying to look very intimidating, before its ears twitched.
It turned around when the gathering returned. A pair were squabbling, coming up to the guard and bonking him on the head. He screeched and yelled in return to them. It seemed like something was wrong. They were pointing and gesturing towards the harpy of the group, before one headed for the enterance.
He removed a key from his belt, entering the cage with a mass of other behind him, all brandishing spears. They began to corral the Pae away from the harpies, and back them into the corner. A couple others went to fetch Lillibeth down from her net. All of the harpies had their hands and wings tied, anything to keep them from flying off or harming the masked Pae. The curious thing, though, was how they were regarding the harpies. Some masked Pae took their hands and pet it in apology, others began to dust them off.
They began to lead them out, making sure the other pae remained before locking up again. They posted a few of their comrades in front of the cage's door and a few around the cage as lookouts. It seemed like things were starting to get serious with the arrival of Lillibeth. Others were looking for them!
((OCC: THEY HAVE KEYS! Roll a 1d100 to see if your Pae can nab one! Any double numbers is a grab! (11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88, 99) Even if you grab it, doesn't mean you should go barreling out of the cage, though! Looks like a few of them stayed behind and could easily over take you... Better be smart with this possible escape!))
THE HARPIES
The group of Harpies were lead just a few steps through the jungle and into a village. There was small huts made with thatch roofs and a mess of nets and spears everywhere. It was very lived in apparently. They weaved their way through till they were brought to a large hut in the back. Instead of a cage they were now released into a beautiful hut filled with pillows, water, bits to eat, and dim candles. Kinda romantic... If they weren't still kinda kidnapped.

"Don't be sorry for a small fact of life." He smiled, kissing her forehead. And then she went a step further to change what they were going to do. "What I'd like to do hmm?" He made a show of it, not really changing their course. "I think I'd like a nice swim in the waterfall~" He nodded, looking at her with a smirk. A swim did feel amazing. And that sounded almost perfect at that moment in time.
Nicky grinned, swinging her leg off him. "Lets go then Hot Stuff" She was getting off their tiny bed to get up and grab whatever little luggage she had. They were seriously stalling. She wiggled her rump at him as she walked.
"I have our bags, I think, lets get our butts down to the hot springs, spend some quality time alone~"
Caine nodded, agreeing with Dysmas. Splitting up really was a bad idea. As they hit the glowing light, he saw it was... Mushrooms? By the Guardian's light, that was weird. "Well, at least there's some more prints here?" He offered, trying to be optimistic of their very strange situation.
They didn't look like dangerous mushrooms, but what did he know of anything fungus related? That was his dad, and even then they'd be lucky if he actually knew. "I guess I'm gonna pick one of these up... We could use the light" Caine stretched his claw out, trying to n** one of the weird glowy mushrooms off.
FA Mysteries Caine is going after a glowing mushroom before continuing after the paw prints
