Working on a 750 pts armoured strike force for an event this weekend: Tank Shock - the Renegade Foundries, which involves well, tanks.

It's going to be an event spread out over the course of three or so months, the idea being that your army grows overtime. Seeing as me and my opponent already have more models than we'll ever need at this point, it's as always a great motivation to get s**t done for a change. But who am I kidding? Chances are I'll get a tank or two along the way. sweatdrop

So, kicking things off with 750 pts, here's my Solar Auxilia cohort that will take on the Tau:

Only a few things I still need to do in order to call this all done:
- Finish the banner of the Vanquisher tank
- Clean up the second Dracosan, then put some decals on it
- Paint up a commander for the second Dracosan
- Do the bases of the nine Veletarii

Sounds deceptively easy enough, right?

The second Dracosan armoured transport of my Solar Auxilia cohort. I decided to keep it simple, like with the first one and went with nice contrasting images that don't stand out too much from the overall model.





The Malcador "Dauntless", with extra overpriced decals from Dust. I've decided to have most of the crew positions, minus the commander and main gunner up top, paint their names near to their crew positions. Not shown (due to a dodgy decal on the other side) is the name "Amanda" on the left sponson.

Next up, when I find the time (and the brushes), a pair of commanders for these two, along with the finishing touches on the banner of the Vanquisher, then hopefully onto the Malcador Infernus, which is awfully unfinished in comparison to these two. redface

Well, that or the Matilda tank done by your resin crack peddling namesake, complete with a tea sipping commander, if I can ever find that tiny pewter cup and saucer again. sweatdrop



However, we're almost halfway through 2016 and still no sign of the kit, quite frustrating for something that was originally supposed to go on sale some time 2015.

For the time being she'll be in charge of "Fireball", the Malcador Infernus.

One somewhat sleepless night later and we're here, a pre-priming super-heavy chassis with interchangeable weapon systems, so I can field it as either a Shadowsword, Stormsword or Stormlord.



It's mostly going to be a Stormsword though, because ******** your cover saves and ******** your stealth + shrouded antics. emotion_donotwant

Hoping to get this all done before the final step of the Tank Shock event, which will be 1750 pts. Yes, I am using this in a 1750 pts game. twisted
