Defense Against Dark Arts {FINALS UP DUE 11-13-10}

Miranda, just finishing up with astronomy, hurried over to DADA. She sat down and read the lesson, taking careful notes. After that, she got up and went into a little more of an open area, and since she had already practiced expelliarmus in charms earlier that wekk, decided to start with that one. She held out her wand, and said, "Expelliarmus!" it was marvelous, as she had expected. Knocked the dummy's wand right out of it's hand and across the room.

She held up her wand again. "Expelliarmus!"
Only, this time it failed. sad

"Expelliarmus," She said again, a little more excited about it this time. She figured if she just expected to do good all the time, it wouldn't happen. She had to try.
And she was right. It was amazing again.

Now She moved on to stupefy. "Stupefy!" She said.

Again, she brought up her wand. "Stupefy!"

"Stupefy!"
This time it backfired, and she was flung to the ground.

Leonette rushed quickly into classes scattering her books on the table in front of her. She read the lesson, jotted down some notes, and pulled out her wand.

Facing a dummy, Leo lifted her wand and said 'Stupefy'

Again she armed herself and this time shouted more confidently 'Stupefy!'

Both Stupefy attacks had succeeded, but only marginally; she hoped to do better on the other two spells.

This time Leonette used a healing spell 'Episkey!' she commanded.

'AH!' Leonette fell flat backwards from the fail, unable to attack again for a short while.

Leo stood again to her feet, and raised her wand; she didn't cast the spell quite as loudly this time for lack of confidence. "Episkey"

Again, she hoped it would succeed, but even better so. "Episkey!"

The failure was extremely heartbreaking for Leonette. Apparently, Defense Against the Dark Arts was not her specialty. Leo could not attack again until she recovered from her sadness.

This time Leo was extremely frustrated "Episkey!!" she shouted.

yet again she had to wait, but anger was welling up in her. She couldn't stand failure.

please work, please work Leo thought to herself. She then raised her wand one last time for this spell."Episkey!"

Now all she needed to do was successfully cast expelliarmus twice. She raised her wand and hoped to get it right the first two times. "Expelliarmus!"

Her triumph was short lived, and Leonette flew back from the fail. She could not attack again for five minutes.
