Kyo shook his head. "I was reading the whole time, so I was pretty much okay," he replied, looking up from the book again. "Is there a specific schedule you have for today?" He might as well ask in case "G" did have such a schedule, since he didn't want the junior to have to change it on account of him.

Gikishou shook his head. "Nope. Just depends on my mood. Usually I just take my board to the half pipe." He said as he stretched.

Kyo sighed in relief. "That's nice to hear. I thought you might have had to change your schedule because of me," he said. "Um... so what should we do today?"

Gikishou was about to say that he didn't know, but then his phone rang. He quickly answered it. "Talk to me." he grinned as he heard the news that there was a fair nearby that nickelback would be playing at. "Thanks Brad, be there in a half hour. I might bring along a friend." He hung up and looked at kyo. "How about we go to a fair?"

Kyo's eyes widened when he heard the word 'fair'. "Sure!" he said, excitedly putting down his book. "I've always wanted to know what fair is like. Is it fun or at least interesting? I've heard that a lot of people like it, but I never got a chance to try to go to one." He put his books in a safe area and trotted over to "G", not bothering to care about how childish he probably looked.

Gikisohu chuckled, standing. "Yes, it's fun. They've got rides, games, music, food..." He counted off, then got his wallet before heading to the door. "C'mon, it's just three blocks away."

"Okay, don't leave without me," Kyo said as he followed "G" to the door. The day seemed a whole lot brighter than it seemed before, but maybe it was the sun having climbed higher in the sky.

Gikishou grinned and walked with him to the fair, paying for their entrance and finding his friends. "Hey guys, this is Kyo." He introduced. They all nodded. "Hey, he's in one of my classes!" Brian said, smiling.

"It's nice to meet you all," Kyo said after "G" introduced him to the group of friends, though it seemed that Brian, whom he recognized as one of his classmates, already knew who Kyo was. The freshman blushed in embarrassment from his own formality, however, since he didn't know how else to communicate with the group.

They all smiled. "Is he also the 'little mouse' Joni's gang's been talking about?" Kale asked. Gikishou nodded. They all grinned. "Need our help?" Gikishou grinned back. "That would be nice." They all exchanged high fives, slapping Kyo lightly on the back. "Looks like you're with us then, kid!"

Kyo soon felt a little uncomfortable at the extreme liveliness of the gang, though he was glad they were willing to help him. Apparently everything was going to be alright from now on, but he could never be sure. There would always be a chance that a slip could pop out of nowhere and something terrible would then happen.

Gikishou grinned. "C'mon guys, I'm sure he's hungry. Also, we came o enjoy a fair." They all nodded, grinning as they headed to a food stand. "What do ya want to eat? It;s on me." He said with a grin.

"I don't need anything, it's all right," Kyo replied, but his stomach suddenly growled and he blushed. It was an embarrassing, grumbling sound that he was never used to, since it happened very, very rarely, and he wondered if it actually was coming from him.

Gikishou raised an eyebrow. "Kyo, you're hungry. I'll bet you didn't eat anything while I was asleep, and it had been five hours. Now, seriously, order something." He told him.
