((That’s alright, I assumed that or you were just busy or maybe forgot to check ^^ ;;;; and because you said the RP was going a little bit slow do you want this conversation to go by quickly or have a couple of posts in? And then we move onto Aria and Mickey...what was it again, were they terrorizing the school or just leaving and giving information back to Magneto I keep forgetting TAT))
Exhaling heavily while her head was tucked in between her arm, hair covering her face from all sides, Anna didn’t even need to look up to know who was talking to her. Who else would walk up to her and ask something like that other than Luke? Even that in itself was pretty rare as well. Still, it’s not like he knew what was going or why she looked the way she did right now.
“Yeah, I’m okay.” The dark haired girl slowly pulled herself up from her slump and turned to face him, shoving over on the piano bench in case he wanted to sit down. “Slight headache from over thinking I guess...” Turning back towards the dark grand piano, Anna placed her right hand over the keys but only pressed one at a time. She wasn’t really playing anything, but seemed more like filling time or making noise.
Anna didn’t mind other people being around. They were the type that kept to themselves and wouldn’t spread rumours, at least she hoped. It wasn’t really a big deal to have faulty powers every once in a while, but it was more embarrassing than anything. “So do you know if your powers work yet? Mine’s been coming back gradually since we left the mall but it’s still not 100%...maybe tomorrow it’ll be better. Luckily we have Spring Break which gives us some time for our powers to heal.” Still, Spring Break at a school this big meant there were a lot of events to keep people busy, not to mention homework as well.
The dark haired girl seemed rather sad, a lot worse than she’d usually been. She looked so pale and even a bit sickly even after a couple of hours of losing her powers, maybe it was somehow related to her health? After pressing a few more keys she got up and walked over to the window right beside her and opened it slightly, leaning over the edge to look outside then down at the flowerbed below. If she was in her regular mood, she’d probably tease Oliver into making a flower for her but even she was too afraid to ask him to use his powers.

((I don't really mind the speed it's going; we should just play it by ear and see where the conversation leads and when we feel like moving on. What we're doing with Mickey and Aria is they're going to go and report to Magneto (telling the people here that they're going to a hotel), and then in the middle of the night Magneto's mutants will attack the school.))
Oliver sank onto the piano bench next to Anna, looking at her depressed expression and not knowing what to say to make her feel better. He felt just as depressed as she did, and neither of them had any answers, so what could they say? He sighed. "No, I haven't tried yet."
He hesitated, afraid of what the outcome would be, then stood and joined Anna at the window, looking across the yard at the flowers he'd made that day that seemed so long ago. The fading sunlight illuminated the lilac bush that had grown under the window. Oliver reached out the window and held one leaf between his fingers; he'd discovered his abilities were always more powerful when he was actually touching the earth or the plant. He stared at the little bush, envisioned another sprig of purplish-pink flowers sprouting up, and opened all the floodgates of his power, throwing them open all the way. He didn't normally open them this far, because that was what had happened in the old days when he couldn't control himself. Normally, his power would rush out so strongly that the whole lawn would soon become a jungle of plants. But now...there was nothing. He couldn't even feel his power. He searched for it, groped around in his mind for it, but he couldn't find it anywhere.
Slowly he realized that in the place of his mind where he would usually find his power, he was strangely aware of Anna's shoulder, which was only a couple inches away from his own. Why was he thinking about that? It wasn't like her shoulder was going to help him. Furiously, Oliver focused with all his mind on the single leaf between his fingers. Grow, grow, grow! he screamed at it in his mind. His face was beginning to grow hot from the effort, and he was trembling slightly, until finally the tiniest trickle of power imaginable slithered out of him, and the leaf in his hand widened to twice its width - which wasn't saying much, as it was a small leaf to start with.
Oliver released the struggle, let his mental trapdoors slam back down over the dry riverbed of his power, and sank back onto the piano bench, gasping for air. He'd never tried so hard with his power, because usually it was right there. All his efforts until today had been focused on limiting that stream of power so he could use only what he needed to, and that wasn't anywhere near as hard as this had been. Why was it so hard? He wiped sweat from his brow and looked helplessly at Anna as he tried to regain control of his breathing.

((Gotcha! And wow you posted this on Sat....but I checked it and I could have sworn you didn’t post...OH WELL LOL))
Perhaps they were thinking much too hard on their problems, and needed to relax in order to get their powers back. Maybe she’d talk to the professor...or SOMEONE who wouldn’t think she was being a complete idiot or spaz. Then again, she didn’t want to bother any of the teachers about this either. If she had the chance maybe she’d talk to the professor, but it was highly unlikely since she didn’t want to feel like a burden.
While looking out the window, Anna was tempted to hold out her hand to try and swerve the wind currents around her fingers; changing the flow and playing with it like a lace scarf. Again, she was tempted, but also too afraid to do it for real. She held out her hand very slightly to feel the wind current building around her but that was it. She could see the flow of air but couldn’t move it, or manipulate it. There was a horrible feeling inside of her gut that was telling her she couldn’t do anything right anymore. Anna may not have had much confidence with people, but with her powers it was much different. Pulling her hand back to her side, she cocked her head slightly to look at Oliver who seemed to be struggling with his powers. He seemed so focused, staring at the leaf he was holding...he seemed to be trying really hard to get it to do...something.
Was it her fault? Did she have some sort of disease or virus in her that made people lose their powers on contact? No, that couldn’t be right. Neither of them were touching each other when they lost their powers. Thinking about how or when they could have touched during the day Anna’s cheeks went a bit red. Every little brush of the air or hand made her face turn a bit pink, which was a rather unusual colour for. By the time Anna was done shaking her head she noticed Oliver had moved away from the window and sat back down on the piano bench, looking rather exhausted...
Turning to face him, now leaning against the open window sill she crossed her arms to hold in the urge to put a hand on his shoulder for comfort. Just a friendly gesture, but at the same time she felt she’d be extremely nervous and would send that feeling through her hand into Oliver’s body. “Maybe we should sleep on it. I don’t think it’ll do us any good to force it...” moving her long black hair behind her shoulder, Anna turned around to close the window then went around the piano to pick up her bag. “I think I’m going to take my own advice and turn in. This is probably a temporary thing and will go away in the morning. I’ve never heard of a student getting kicked out or leaving because they lose their powers so I wouldn’t worry.” She said to make herself feel better. “Are you going to bed or perhaps...you’re going to stay up a bit?”

((Hmm, that's odd. Oh well! razz Sorry if I've been slow in replying lately; school's been catching up to me. Oh, and I had an idea for how they could work around the problems their powers have when they're close to each other; do you want to hear it? Though I suppose we probably want to have them running around in confusion for a while first before we give them a solution....))
Oliver sighed and nodded at her words, wiping a bit of sweat off his forehead. They were probably making too big of a deal out of this whole thing. Maybe it was like losing your voice - you just had to wait until it healed, and then you could use it again and there wouldn't be any permanent damage. He sure hoped so. Though why it would have happened to them both at the same time, he had no idea. And they hadn't even done anything out of the ordinary, either....
Standing up as well, Oliver said as casually as he could, "Yeah, I'm kinda tired too." As they walked out of the room together, he glanced over at her as surreptitiously as he could manage and wondered whether he should mention going to Professor Xavier. No, best not to seem too worried. If they were totally fine by tomorrow morning, he'd feel stupid for freaking out so much; and if they weren't...well, then he could worry about taking this up with the Professor. Still, it was comforting to know there was someone they could go to for help. None of the teachers he'd had in any of his old schools had been like that. He remembered how calm and understanding the Professor had been when Oliver had gone crazy with his powers in the office, how he'd managed to stop him and quiet him down until he could be taught how to control his powers for himself.
Oliver broke out of his reverie when they reached the foot of the stairs leading up to their rooms, and when they climbed to the top, he paused to face Anna one last time. "See you tomorrow?" he said, trying to sound casual but not managing it too well.

((Woah I am so sorry! It said you posted Saturday! But I like fully checked Sat and at least mon and tues and there was no post! So Sorry! That’s okay, school’s almost over for me so I have like a million projects to do >< so don’t worry about it.
Oh yeah for sure I’d love to hear it lol. Obviously they won’t have their powers for a while and then we’ll give them the solution, maybe Professor X will have to tutor them privately or something like that, but yeah sure tell me biggrin ))
Anna followed Oliver out of the lounge and towards the main hall where the large flight of stairs was awaiting them. Once they got to the top, Oliver paused and casually asked if he would be able to see her tomorrow. Trying to smile genuinely, trying not to worry him she nodded a bit before answering, “I don’t think I’m going anywhere don’t worry. I’ve got a lot of work to do anyway. Night.” The dark haired girl turned around and headed down the hall to her room, passing a bunch of other girls who were staying up late, having slumber parties, even passing some of the common lounges where people were watching movies and just chilling. Anna envied them slightly, at how easily they could laugh like that and get on with their lives...but it’s not like she ever bothered people nor told anyone how she felt about her own problems.
Reaching for the doorknob, and turning it slightly, she entered her room and quietly shut the door behind her, leaning against it for a second, exhaling heavily before pushing away. She put her bag on a coat rack she had up by the dresser and walked to the closet, changing into her pj pants and tank top for sleeping. Walking around her room for a moment, she went over to the window and opened it slightly, letting some fresh air in before sitting on the edge of her bed. Anna quietly prayed that it was only temporary and everything would be back to normal in the morning.
~~~
“So is it any different from your school? I’m sure it is, I ain’t never ‘eard of any other mutant school so I’m dying to know if I should transfer over there.” Valon tried to make conversation while showing Aria and Mickey around. Of course he and Luke hadn’t show them the whole like secret stuff like their training facility or the hangar in the basement but he was sure theirs was a million times more impressive...or lacking of.
Mickey didn’t have much to say during the entire tour. He mostly stayed close by Luke since he wasn’t much of a talker and would casually say something every now and then...but nothing like how Valon was going at it. And the way Aria was obliging the Australian was just sick...if this was Tanya instead of Aria he’d definitely have something to say.
“Aria...it’s late, we have to get back.” The taller, dark haired male decided to interject, seeing as they had a deadline to meet and comrades to inform.
((Sorry for the delay - school is eating me aliiiive! gonk Okay, here's my idea. So we know that for some reason their genes are "attuned" to each other, for lack of a better term. And their powers end up nullifying each other when they get too close, right? It's like somehow each other's presence cuts them off from the source of their power. It's not that their power isn't there. They just can't access it. So maybe they could somehow access the other person's power? Either Oliver would be able to control air and Anna would be able to control plants, or it would just be a fuel source for their own power. They would probably have to be touching or something for it to work. What do you think?))
Oliver gave one final nod in Anna's direction and then headed for his room. He contemplated working a little on his homework, if only to keep his mind off his worries, but he discovered that he really was quite tired. The day, with all its worries and excitement, had truly taken its toll on him. His eyelids tugged downwards and he barely managed to change out of his clothes before collapsing into bed. His last thought was of Anna. He hoped everything would be all right in the morning.
-----
"Oh yeah, it's so different from here; it's-" But Valon would never find out what it was, because just then Mickey interrupted her. Aria suppressed a relieved sigh with difficulty; it was so incredibly dull talking to this bozo and pretending to be interested in this lousy place. Sheesh. No wonder Magneto held Xavier in such contempt, to run such a child's playhouse like this.
"Oh, gosh, you're right," she said quickly, checking her watch but not really caring what time it was. "It was really nice meeting you guys," she said, putting on her best smile for Valon so he would never guess the thoughts running through her head. "We'll have to come again sometime!"
After too many cheery farewells, after they were escorted unnecessarily back to the gate, and after Aria and Mickey had walked out of sight of the little school, Aria finally let down her facade and scowled. "What a bunch of idiots," she sneered, glancing over her shoulder. "They let us waltz right through the whole place, so we could see where all the security cams are and everything! Remind me why it's taken this long to get them?" She rolled her eyes.
((Don’t worry; school’s eating me alive too. Last 2 weeks, I’ve been working my butt off...like non-stop work. I got nauseous from doing powerpoint, that’s how sad it was. I think the switching of powers is a very interesting idea, and very original too. We could definitely play that out =3 I can picture Anna like Poison Ivy from the old Batman movies hehehe and strangely enough I can see Oliver controlling Wind. It’d also be fun to go through the two of them teaching each other how to use their powers and in that getting closer to each other.
I don’t think we should do it for a little while. Cause we have the break in and the attack, and it’s spring right now...maybe we’ll time skip to the summer? Or is that too long? Maybe during the school year after the break in just before the summer?))
After Valon’s heart warming goodbye, seeing the two of them off at the entrance with Luke, the two males turned to head back to their rooms before lights out. “It’s too bad they ‘on’t go to our school, I would have liked to get to know them betta’” the Australian laughing a little bit nervously to himself while walking up the main steps aside the dark skinned male. “You should probably get back to those precious lamps of yours mate, I’m gonna hit the hay meself, night.” He yawned and stretched as he traversed the hall, heading down a series of corridors to his own end of the school while Luke also went down towards his own.
Oblivious to the four of them, Aria and Mickey had their own plans...
While the two were walking off the school’s property, far enough to be a couple ear shots from anyone who could potentially hear their conversation, Mickey began explaining the circumstances as to why it’d taken Magneto and the other teachers at their school so long to break into the Xavier institute. “We know the Xavier Institute has a lot of security...and they’ve always been careful about their alarms, but it’s Spring Break and more students are leaving the campus freely...especially with parents coming to take their kids home from the week.” He started explaining while shoving his hands in his pockets, acting all cool while they headed back into the city, after walking a great distance.
“I’m sure that ‘girl’ Anna is suspicious of us...she was very quiet the entire night. Same with that ‘boy’ Oliver....strange characters but we got what we came for.” He stated while taking out his cell phone and calling up their school headmaster, Magneto on a private line.
“We’ve got it...what do you want us to do now?” he asked while the two kept walking to the meeting spot to meet their partners.
((Yeah, they'd use each other's powers when they're together, but when they're separate they go back to using their own powers. It'll be fun to play them figuring that out. (Maybe sometime they could both be trying to use their powers really hard at the same time, and end up using each other's powers?) I'm not sure when we should have them realize it, though. I mean, I was thinking that this attack would lead into a longer conflict with Magneto's Mutants, almost like a war where the more experienced and older kids would help the adults fight against Magneto's people.
If you don't mind, I think I'll jump right into the attack now.))
Oliver woke suddenly, completely disoriented. He sat bolt upright in his bed, and after a moment or two he realized that it was the sound of screaming that had woken him. Scrambling out of bed, he quickly opened his door and poked his head out into the hallway. Several students along the hall were doing the same. The screaming was coming from the far end of the hallway, where several of the younger kids slept in one of the larger bedrooms.
The door suddenly burst off its hinges, flying wildly down the hallway to crash down the stairs at the other end. Oliver ducked quickly back into his room as it flew past, then peeked back outside to see a boy a year or two older than he was, dressed all in black and wearing a black cloth over his nose and mouth like a villain in one of those old cowboy movies, stepping through the doorway. He held his hand in front of him, palm out, and as Oliver watched he jerked it forward. An invisible blast of something seemed to shoot out of it, knocking a girl who had emerged into the hallway flat on her back. More people, wearing the same kind of costume, rushed out of the room.
Oliver leapt into action before he even remembered the events of the day before. There were potted plants in every hallway, and now he reached out with his power to the bush thing in the pot nearest to him. As the power rushed gloriously through him and the branches shot swiftly towards the attackers, Oliver realized with a thrill that he could use his powers again. So he wasn't useless after all!
All up and down the hall, the students were either fighting the attackers with their powers or helping the younger ones escape down the back staircase. But the attackers all had mutant powers too, and the fight was close. This was no simulation in the Danger Room. This was for real.
((I was thinking about whether or not the Professor should know that they’re powers switch when they’re together or not. Like just have them figure it out on their own...like I dunno a situation that just popped into my mind is perhaps Anna’s fighting someone on top of a building or on top of the school and falls and Oliver wants to save her and ends up using her powers to catch her fall using the wind. Ummm for Anna to use Oliver’s powers...you might need to help me with that one lol.
Yeah, sure fighting now is good, I left it off where like you could start the fight anyway : ) ))
“C’mon hurry up, this way.” Anna was taking care of the younger students on her floor as they were screaming and running down the hall. She’d woken up with the rest of the school, alarmed as to what was going on. She and some of the older students on her floor were leading them to the shelters through the secret passages while the Professors were mobilizing themselves around the perimeter and gathering some of the older students to fight as well.
As she was hurrying some younger girls, holding their hands as they rushed through the hallways, one of her Professors floated in down the hallway toward them. “Professor Munroe?” Anna stopped, wondering why she was there and not with the others trying to find out the cause of the attack.
“Anna this is no time for formalities in battle call me Storm, Professor Xavier wants you outside.” The older woman ordered as Anna looked down at the kids and let go of their hands, instructing them to head to the shelters with the others. “Go downstairs and change quickly, don’t dawdle.” Quickly flying down the hall to gather other more experienced students, she left Anna sort of standing in the middle of the hall without allowing her a moment to tell her about her powers.
But now wasn’t the time to go back on orders, this was a serious matter.
Turning down another hallway Anna started running in her track pants and black tank top towards one of the secret staircases to the lower levels, when suddenly a wall ahead of her started to disintegrate as if being sucked in by a giant vacuum. Anna was already at the secret door that would lead her downstairs, but she’d have to put in the password and let the stairs form behind the wall form before going down. Just as she turned to put in the password, the wall had been completely sucked in, and a dark clothed figure, covering half his face with a black cloth stepped through the opening holding his arm out, palm open towards her.
Anna took a defensive stance, wondering what she could possibly do in such a small hallway, forgetting she’d lost her powers earlier that day. While glaring at him from down the hall, she could feel the wind picking up and pulling her in slowly before the blast picked up, trying to suck her into a void of nothing. She tried to resist the pull before it got any stronger, but while she was resisting she noticed something very odd. Unlike before, she could see the wind currents coming from the figures hand and pulling her in. “I can see it...” she muttered while extending both her arms and concentrating a similar wind blast to counter the figures and creating a neutral ground between them.
She was surprised to have her powers back, must have been a temporary thing, but either way they were locked in a stalemate and neither of them could move. Even as she pumped more of the wind around her through her body and arms to counter his attack he seemed to be doing the same.
The conflict would have continued unless something happened...and it did.
Behind the dark figured was the elevator leading downstairs or upstairs if you liked. Usually elevators were the first things out of commission, which was why they used to the secret stairs to go down, but this one was working. Hearing the ding coming from the elevator, the figure looked back slightly to see the doors opening to a couple of mutants, suited up and ready for battle. Among them at the front of the crowd was Jill with her hands on her hips eyeing the two.
“Wow you are pathetic Gale, can’t even handle one bad guy by yourself.” Stepping out of the elevator, the blonde round house kicked him in the face and into the wall, breaking his hold on Anna while turning to deal with this new threat in front of him.
Among those in the elevator were some students from Anna’s year and above, with the few exceptions like Miata who was riding her large teddy bear. Once the pathway had been cleared and Jill left to fight the dark figure, the others in the elevator sort of ran off to aid the others in the fight outside.
After retracting her wind blasts, Anna turned to the monitor and entered the password, waiting for the staircase behind the wall to form and open up to her. It’d be much faster for her to run down than to take the elevator. She didn’t want to thank Jill for saving her...especially since this wasn’t the time. Once the wall opened up and revealed a staircase, Anna rushed down to the lower levels, only to find other students were using the secret passages down, also going to the change rooms to grab their suits. Judging by the numbers the enemy definitely had some serious firepower.
~~~
While Oliver seemed a bit preoccupied with the attackers on his floor, feeling exhilarated about using his powers again, he received a telepathic message in his head from one of the professors.
“Oliver, this is Professor Frost, I want you to go downstairs and change into your training uniform. We won’t have you fighting in your PJs. That’s an order, now get going.” She explained were one of the secret staircases were and implanted the password into his mind so he could access it.
“That should do it Professor; all of the students should have been contacted. We’re hoping to evacuate the rest of the school within half an hour.” Emma Frost then telepathically contacted Professor Xavier while she was outside with some of the others in her diamond form, attacking whoever she could with the help of some of the other students. “This is completely out of nowhere! Do we know who’s attacking us?”

((I think Xavier probably has never seen anything like this before, so yeah, probably Oliver and Anna should figure their power thing out themselves. The scenario you described sounds cool; when the time feels right to start bringing that out in the story, we should keep our eyes peeled for stuff like that. It'll probably just come naturally through whatever's going on at the time.))
Xavier sat in his wheelchair on the front lawn, to all appearances as calm and unworried as if he was behind his desk in his office grading papers. Anyone who knew him, however, would have noticed the sharpness in his eyes and would have realized that he was focusing his powers on the mutants invading his school. Even so, he had attention enough to spare Professor Frost a glance.
"I have an idea of who it might be," he said shortly, "but we'll have time to discuss that later. Right now we need to focus on stabilizing the situation." He fell silent then, concentrating even harder.
-----
Oliver glanced around when he heard the voice speaking in his mind, realizing in a moment what it was and noticing that the others in the hall had received similar messages. The students began to retreat, doing their best to hold off the attackers long enough for them to get to the hidden staircases.
As Oliver backed up, making extra branches and roots grow out of the plants to clutter up the hallway and hopefully slow the attackers' advance, he passed the open doorway of a room and saw Luke out of the corner of his eye, stepping out into the hallway. Luke's room was bright and warm from his newly-purchased lamps, and the dark-skinned boy had been sleeping without a shirt. Sweat trickled down his muscled arms and chest, and as Oliver glanced up at him, he realized with a shock that Luke's eyes, which were normally warm and dark, were now glowing with a white-gold light almost too intense to look at directly.
"Look the other way," Luke quickly told Oliver as he stepped in front of him.
Oliver immediately turned away and began to run down the hallway towards the secret passageway, and he hadn't taken more than two steps when a blazing light banished all the shadows in the hall, shining from somewhere behind him. Oliver heard the attackers cry out and stumble around, one or two shouting, "My eyes!" and knew that Luke had done something.
Just as he opened the hidden panel and started down the stairs, Luke caught up with him and leapt into the passageway just as the door slid shut again. They hurried down the stairs side-by-side, and as Oliver glanced sideways again, he noticed that the veins were standing out on Luke's muscles, and they were glowing as well. They pulsed for a few moments, then slowly faded away.
A few minutes later, Luke and Oliver stood outside the school with the rest of the students who could control their powers well enough to fight. Oliver felt alive out here, with the fresh air and the damp, dewy soil and all the plants.... All his fear of being cut off from his power was utterly gone.

((Well, if I feel I can spare a moment to use the scenario I’ll do it lol and if you do you can do whatever you feel is appropriate you know? So it’ll work itself out *I seriously feel like there is some competition between Luke and Oliver HAHAHA
How long do you want this battle to go for? Just so I don’t like end up dragging it out too long? Are we looking to do some epic fight or just like whatever happens happens and eventually someone will pull out?))
“Yes Sir.” Emma answered while quickly cutting off her psychic link with him and continuing to fight with some other students outside.
Luckily they were out of the city in some forest otherwise there’d be a lot of chaos going on right now. With the abundant amount of students and adults flying around, shooting lasers, and flames and god knows whatever else they could come up with...there had to be some sort of border that kept the city from discovering they were up to no good.
“Hopefully the other students get here on time...” she thought to herself as she continuously provided back up for those who couldn’t properly defend themselves. Most of the time she used herself as a shield for the younger students with less experience, but still felt a bit of a burden despite all of the other teachers helping out around the school as well.
~~~
After she’d changed, Anna was leading a team of students outside with Professor Monroe, flying around the battle grounds and attacking from above to provide back up. When they weren’t in formation, they’d break off and fly around, chasing or dodging other students dressed in black who were attacking them with their own special powers. While flying around, Anna was slowly being pursued by another mutant in the air who was throwing paper weapons almost as sharp as stars toward her. Easily dodging the attacks, she flew around in the dark cloudy sky that Professor Monroe had made and swirled her hands around her abdomen in a circular pattern to create a large sphere of air, then kicking it towards the figure like a soccer ball. Like Anna the figure dodged easily, but being as persistent as she was Anna kept creating spheres and kicking them one after another before catching the figure off guard and launching them into a tree.
Smirking slightly as she floated in the air, her hair also taking on a strange floaty in the air pattern, she flew off to aid the other students in their battles, watching as her fellow classmates struggle against this foe.
~~~
“TAKEEEE THIS! AND THIS AND THISS!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA!” Miata was among some of the younger students who had enough experience to go out and fight. Riding on her giant teddy bear who was pretty much doing all the work, she rammed through a wall of enemies before commanding her bear to swing its arms and slam them into walls of the school, trees and bushes.
Not too far away Miata could spot Oliver with a crowd of new students who just exited the school from secret underground exits and decided to join him. “HEY! OLI!” Miata was extremely loud in battle in comparison to being in the danger room. It seemed a lot of the other students were louder and much more rowdy...maybe real combat was something that excited them since not too many of them were allowed out as often as the others. Mr. Teddy walked on over to where Oliver was and decided to help him fight there. “So how’s combat? Nothing like Sim Training right?” she smiled while hanging onto her teddy bear that turned around and lashed out at someone from behind.

((Lol, Oliver would definitely think that Luke's powers are cooler than his, at least razz
I was thinking maybe we could have the battle keep going until Anna and Oliver come close to each other, so they can realize there is a problem with their powers; it wasn't just a fluke that one time. Then I was thinking maybe the bad mutants would all get outside and then the teachers (or just Xavier?) would do some big impressive attack to get them all. Also, what do you suppose Magneto's plan is for attacking the school? Is he maybe trying to kidnap the Professor or something? Or destroy the school?
Oh, and what about Mickey and Aria? Should our guys meet up with them and realize they were tricked?))
A small group of students who could fly or hover helped defend against those of the attackers who could do the same, while most of the mutants fought on the ground. As Anna fought, a familiar boy came hovering alongside her, upside-down. "Hi," Gerald said as nonchalantly as if they'd been passing in the hall. Holding his hand over his head (which meant it was pointing towards the ground), he said, "Here, I'll get them up for you. 'First star to the left and straight on till morning!'"
With that, he began lifting mutants up from the ground, one by one, letting them flail around as they suddenly found their gravity reversed. Gerald watched this all as calmly as if he was playing a boring video game.
-----
Oliver glanced up in surprise when he heard Miata's voice booming down at him from atop her gigantic teddy bear, and for a moment an image popped into his head of a skinny man calling to a fat one, "Ollie!" as they stumbled along.
He almost laughed out loud, but a miniature explosion reminded him that now was no time to reminisce about old TV comedies. "You're right about that!" he called up to Miata as he hemmed in a couple attackers with a wall of cacti. "This is nothing like training!"
All around them, students and teachers fought as best as they could. Oliver caught sight of bursts of flame, sparks of electricity, and people flying through the air either on purpose or because someone had hit them. Bart was yelling, throwing heavy punches right and left and plowing through the dark-clad mutants who didn't get out of the way fast enough. In the distance, Oliver could see a glow that he thought was Luke. Everywhere he looked, he saw the powers of students he'd come to know by sight, if not by name. Everyone was doing their part, and his heart lifted as he realized that he was too. Grinning viciously, he made a vine shoot out and trip up a running attacker. Maybe his powers were useful after all.

((I think just like this one time, Xavier should go out and do something cool lol like justtttt once hahahaa. I’d probably have to say that Magneto’s trying to kidnap the professor to try and build another Cerebro(sp) or you think that’s too old fashioned for this rp? XD And yeah, I think at some point, they should meet up. I mean I made Mickey meet up with Anna but she didn’t really know it was him cause he was hiding it. Mickey will also be with Tanya and Aria can be with your other character if you want, so other than that we’ll just play it by ear biggrin ))
While floating around above the school, Anna’s attention turned as a familiar boy from class approached her upside down. “Gerald.” He greeted her and she greeted him back with a nod. He offered to help her lift students into the air for her to attack, just so she wouldn’t have to fly down to get them herself. It’s not like it was a problem, but being in the air did have its proximity advantages.
Soon, a couple of mutants lifted up into the air and had a difficult time manoeuvring around, “much appreciated.” Anna thanked her classmate, conjuring up a large just of spiral wind in her right arm and pulling back as if she was going to punch them. “HA!” extending her arm like a bunch, a large spiral gust of wind blew out of her fist and knocked the mutants into the walls of the school.
As much as she’d like to believe they were winning the battle seemed to go on forever. “This doesn’t seem to be getting us anywhere; hopefully this won’t go on all night...” she said while flying towards Gerald once again. “I’m going to head over to the back and see if they need help, you’re more than capable of lending a hand here.” And with that she turned to fly over to another part of the school, dodging and sending out small twisters to those who’d think to attack someone in the sky.
~~~
“Well this doesn’t happen every day....actually this almost never happens!” While Miata was riding her giant teddy bear and calling out to Oliver as they fought in the same proximity area. However getting too cocky, two twin psychics got up behind her and Mr.Teddy, taking an offensive position while circular beams seemed to come from their foreheads heading towards Miata. Suddenly, the 12 year old started losing control of Mr.Bear as he began stumbling around as Miata was slowly letting go. “Why...do I feel so sleepy...?” she asked herself as her eyes were closing slowly and Mr. Bear slowly started shrinking.
Just as the two were calming down their attack, they were forcefully pushed down by a strong gust of wind, throwing off their concentration. “I would appreciate it if you’d pick on someone your own age.” Anna floated in the air while creating a sphere of air in her hand and kicking it towards the two to get them to disperse for a while. While she was floating, she looked down and noticed Oliver who was doing more than exceptionally well and fitting in just fine. Anna couldn’t help but smiling very slightly down at him, acknowledging his growth since he got here.
((No, another Cerebro (<.< that looks wrong, but I have no idea how to spell it) sounds good. It makes perfect sense why Magneto would want one, and it's not like he could just grab it out of Xavier's place. I bet Magneto would think that Xavier's too goody-goody to hurt kids much, which is why he sent them instead of his older cronies.))
"So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good-bye...." Gerald sang cheerfully as Anna left him, then continued humming the tune as he raised mutants in the air only to let them drop back down from a greater height - not so high that they would be seriously injured, but enough to knock the breath out of them long enough so students on the ground could immobilize them.
-----
"Anna!" Oliver called out happily as he saw her floating around. He ran closer to her, throwing out an arm as he sent tree roots curling up from the ground to snare the two psychics. He was relieved to see that her powers seemed to have recovered too. So relieved that it seemed he hadn't concentrated well enough; he had intended to make huge roots that would pin them to the ground, but instead they only curled around their feet and made them lose their balance.
A broad-shouldered enemy mutant who seemed to be a girl rushed up just then, and with one swipe of her arm cut through Oliver's roots. As she straightened up again, Oliver saw that her arm, whose sleeve had ripped, looked like solid rock. The hand was fashioned into a fist, and she turned to Oliver, raising her arm and preparing to strike. Oliver tried to bring up a plant - any kind of plant - to block her attack, but with a renewed sense of panic, he realized that once again his power would not respond.
Just as the girl's fist was about to knock him flat, someone grabbed her from behind and with a mighty yell, flipped her backward onto the ground. Oliver stepped back in surprise as Bart glanced at him, but there was no time to feel awkward. The girl was already struggling to her feet, and Bart charged at her, his muscles bulging. He pushed her back, and the two of them fought fiercely.
Oliver looked down at his hands, feeling sick. It's happening again....
((Should he succeed in getting the professor or run? I think he should call a retreat....re-strategize and the second time he’ll get it, but by the second time should Anna and Oliver have already trained ‘both’ their powers or not yet? Or am I getting ahead of myself sorry about that!))
When Oliver spotted the floating girl he immediately sent out some branches, or roots rather, up to her level so they could be somewhat close to eye level. When the root finished forming under her feet, Anna decided to land on top of it while standing close to Oliver. Her hair fell straight down to her sides instead of flaying all over the place, and her black empty white eyes glistened as they seemed to be smiling at him somehow.
“I just came from the East, Pro-Storm pulled me while I was taking the kids to the shelter. I didn’t expect you to be here.” She explained while standing on his branch, keeping an eye on their surroundings and the fights in the air. While she was looking around, Anna spotted one of the enemies who seemed to rush towards them with brute force and speed. She thought of stopping her but let Oliver take care of it since he seemed more than capable. But as the girl approached and swung a fist at the root, the thing they were standing on seemed to cut and the two lost their balance.
As Anna balanced herself out and regained her composure she saw that Oliver was already preparing for the situation, and was going to block her attack with...something. But as she stood slightly behind him she felt that something was wrong...nothing was happening as the girl approached them again; prepared to strike with that stone cold fist of hers. Since nothing was happening and Anna couldn’t wait any longer she decided to step forward and stop her herself. Holding her arm out, palm open she imagined a mini twister forming in the centre of her hand...but to her surprise nothing happened.
Once again Anna felt empty, and didn’t feel the wind moving around or through her body.
She didn’t understand! Her powers were working two seconds ago! Why would they suddenly stop!? It was already too late; the girl was getting close...so she’d have to rely on her physical training to stop her by some means, even if it meant breaking a few bones. Anna took a defensive position instead and prepared for the worst. Just as the girl approached and was about to knock Oliver out flat someone grabbed her from behind and flipped her onto her backside.
Looking back to see who it was who’d saved them Anna spotted Bart...the pretty-boy who’d made a fuss about him the first day he arrived. She was as surprised as he was to see someone like him saving them...but nodded to him to thank him none the less. “Oliver.” Anna turned back to him putting her hand on his shoulder as he was gazing down at his hands, “We’d better keep moving, this isn’t over yet.” Anna was afraid to even attempt to fly right now, instead she decided to run off to find someone familiar...perhaps Luke to see if his group needed any assistance for the time being. Now really...wasn’t the best time to be losing their powers.
“ARGH THIS IS SO STUPID! The only freaking reason we’re losing is because their teachers are fighting too! Like WTF!” Tanya yelled in anger while fighting with her group, outside near the front. Her hands were on the ground, lighting the grass on fire and creating lines leading to Xavier’s mutants. But no matter what she and the others tried a lot of their tactics were out-manoeuvred by the teachers. “What does Professor M think he’s doing sending us out here? Aria do something! BE USEFUL!” the blonde’s hot temper was getting the best of her as her flames continued to rage and pulse a hot aura around her. Even her teammates were getting pretty hot just standing next to her.
