Secrets of the Gate

Edward wrinkled his nose. "what the?"  

[Mundi Mortem]

Suddenly a light bulb seemed to go off over newtons head. an idea struck him. he gingerly took both edwards hands in his and pulled him slightly closer. a sentence became visiable in his mind. ' can you understand now?'

"y=yes!!" Edward gasped, astonished he could hear a voice in his head.

Newton wrapped his arms around and spun him around in joy. 'why didnt i think of this from the start!' he seemed psychicly laugh.

Edward laughed a bit as he swung around.

he finally relaesed edward, smiling brightly at him. 'ahh... luna was right about choosing you.' he chuckled. ' your alot like luna- you know- especially when she was 2,000 years younger or so...you'll grow taller soon, then no one will tease you any more. you can bet on it.' he chuckled again.

Edward grinned. "I hope so..and wow she is that old?" he blinked.  

[Mundi Mortem]

newton nodded. " or older we've all lose cout over so many eons... but her body doesnt age a day- but she can also take on any form she chooses. as long as it is her own. you'll learn great things from her. she can do many wonderful and horrible things..." he said with a spooky air about him.

Edward nodded, amazed. He didnt know anyone can live that long and do such things...  

[Mundi Mortem]

"im sure shes told you some of her stories..." newton paused." but havent you wondered about any of them by now?- Her red moon sickness, stones forming in her mouth, her knowing so much about you and even more about your father?" he looked at edward curiously. "edward, Luna is of the gate- SHE is the gate- she commands the gate as the gate commands her..." he sat cross legged on the fresh patch of grass.

"she ...is...the gate?!" Edward gasped, frozen.
"then she...took my limbs and Al's body!" he growled.  

[Mundi Mortem]

' No.' he simply said shaking his head. 'the gate acts irradicly whether she is there or not. it has its own inhabitants. The blackend creatures that reach out every time it is opened.' He paused as he stood tall and straight.
'She was chosen to be connected with the gate of gates. if it does not have a gaurdian then it can destroy both worlds- this one and amestris... you actions in performing forbidden alchemy resulted in a strong penalty- losing your limbs and your brothers body. izumi went through the same thing when she tried to bring back her child.' he went on looking rather sad and sincere. 'the responsibility of the gate is now burdend upon your shoulders. until she is well or if sin and envy destroy her.'

'the only way you can regain your limbs and alphonses body is if you go to amestris. because thats where they went....'

"oh...right...then lets go!"
Edward urged on desperatly.

'Amestris is not our destination yet..' he paused as he grabbed edwards shoulder. he turned him around facing a green path surrounded by brush and emerald colored trees... it looked like something out of the secret garden... 'we go through there- i have wasted enough of our time as it is we talk as we go.' he pointed. 'ask me whatever questions pop in your head.' he took edward by the hand and pulled him forward.
'luna is not the bad guy here, so dont think that she is- she suffers just as much as you if not more' he shook his head. ' if sin gets loose it could utterly destroy our little gate mistress'

'follow me...'

Edward let himself be pulled, confused as hell.
"whats going on? where are we going? whats sin?"
He had soo many questions...
