How do you feel about straight pairings?

I'm a lesbian so, like one person said, I'd rather the female characters I like beat the s**t outta the guys trying to get with them. X3 I don't mind straight pairings if they work and aren't too cliched. I mostly like Yaoi and Yuri because straight couples just don't make sense in my mind. I don't know why. o__O; It weirds me out. Like a gay couple can weird out a straight dude. But I like Ron/Hermoine...um.....and Be/Gwen. Probably some more but I can't think of them right now. XP

Here's a question ive been wanting to ask for a while.
When im watching an anime and i see a guy and a girl hinting towards a relationship im like "He would go so much better with that guy instead of that annoying b***h"...of course this isnt the same with all animes i watch but some, yes.
My first reaction to a straight coupling i dont like in an anime is to either
A.Change the channel
B.Rant
or C.Throw something at the TV xd

Its not always with canon couples though.Its the same with fanpairings to.When i see a SasukexSakura fanart...i feel like i want to inwardly puke stare

Though i have no hatred towards said fanpairers of course.We're allowed to like what we like.

Does anyone else get like this or is it just me? O.o

I understand how you feel ~ pairing of those teen romances that only have so much lust dont go well with straight pairings with me. I think because it's been used everywhere like movies and books, ect.: it gets too boring and modest, its the same in almost every teenage chick flick - im freakin tired of it. I like same sex pairing because they show more passion heart

My opinion on pairings:

Deathnote
Misa is annoying- so L and Light should be together!
Mello needs some lovin'- how 'bout Matt
But what 'bout Near---ah! a loveXhate relationship with Mello
In Deathnote's case, the plot was not explored enough and the show died after L did. I love Mello, Near and Matt, though!

Sakura is annoying- no one should be with her!
I don't like Naruto so he can be with her if he wants her!
Ah....the Atsuki..so many guys..no girls....come on something is going on there!
I don't really watch Naruto ; I just have friends that really like it. I just don't think I can get into the whole ninja thing.

Wolf's rain-
The only girls are Blue and Cheza; no one is going to end up with Cheza.
And Blue would go well with any of them. So I am open to that- but what about the rest of them- there seems to be a shortage of female wolves.

I can totally see Yuri pairings here between some of the girls.like the land lady and......uh what is her name....the girl who works at the bar.

Hiei and Kurama!!!!!!!! I am biased here. I can see Hiei with Mukuro though.

Fruits Basket:
I heart this manga, but I think it is a shame Akito turned out to be a girl; would have been interesting if she was a he. I think the Troublesome Trio: Shigure, Ayame, and Hatori would have made an interesting love triangle. Yuri angles: maybe Kagura having a thing for Tohru because she realizes she is actually gay and only hold onto her crush with Kyo for that reason? Just suggesting.

I actually see no slash pairings in Rurouni Kenshin! I lovez it though; so there is a anime where I can place no Yaoi.

Ok that is all I can think of. I do support straight pairings. The reason Yaoi pairings make so much sense is because the writers leave convenient gaps or they write crap(sorry, but Misa is crap! She is sooo annoying!)

I dont mind it, the only thing I mind is like when I'm fantasizing over a pair coupling together like vegeta and goku for example and my twisted friend alex acts like its the most disgusting thing she has ever heard and says she would rather bra from dragon ball gt seduce goku whos like old enough to be her father and have an erotic fling, making good goku turn bad. burning_eyes now whats more sick?

thats whats wrong with all romances now a days, everyone gos at it and theres no passion, to me ur turned on more when a couple you really want to be together doesn't get together until the very end like pride and prejudice for example. lizzy and mr darcy were attracted to each other like 2 magnets but they forced themselves away until the charge couldn't stand it and they realized they loved each other with out even having to hold one another first.

Hetero pairings don't bother me at all. There's probably just as many hetero pairings as homo pairings that I like.

Coincidentally, SasuSaku was my OTP before LaviYuu.

Of course, when I first got into BL, there was a point where I didn't care for hetero pairings at all. Obviously I grew out of that eventually. xD (I think it was actually around the time I got into Naruto that I actually stopped liking BL for awhile. ;;; And then I got into SasuSaku. Somewhere along the way I slowly got into BL again. I guess because a lot of the SasuSaku friends I made where yaoi fans, too. c: )

I find most straight pairings kinda lame. o_o; It really has to be an original, even strange pairing for me to support/like it.

I'll never understand a yaoi's fan dislike for heteor pairings. It's almost like homophobia in reverse in some cases, nevermind that from my experience the yaoi fan is usually straight herself. So yeah, I don't have problems with hetero pairings at all.


In regards to Deathnote; I think half the point of Misa was to be annoying, though she was certainly clever in her own way. She was just blind about some things. L and Light are overrated, and would also never happen what with Light being completely evil and all. And Near is a child, people. He's not going to end up with Mello because he's a child. (Plus, all the death we know that happens.)

Also, SakuraxSasuke is lame simply because Sasuke's become such a complete jackass. Sakura herself is awesome, and should be with Lee. NarutoxHinata would be so cute if it happened.

Also also, AustriaxHungary forever.

I can't say that i find straight parings bad, but i do love Yaoi a lot more. For some reason, it's just more appealing to me.

But i mean, there are straight couples that i find just as interesting as Yaoi ones. I find nothing wrong with anyones preferences. I'm just partial to Yaoi.
