Once I turned 35 it sorta became a moot point. Most people look a few years older or younger, a decade at most. At 35 you look old from either perspective. Well... mature... if you're being kind.

I am 48 and I still get mistaken for younger, just not that much younger anymore. No worries about it. A lot of it is attitude. If you feel free to be yourself, you can relax a bit.

prettypinkdragon it doesn't come with a bonus for me I'm 21 and people usually guess from 23-27!! I've had it all my life which was great when i was younger , when i was 15 my sister was 18 (the legal drinking age in Ireland) and we went into a pub I got served and she got asked for ID she was furious it was hillarious. then again I've always felt and acted alot older than my age been engaged since I was 20, drinking since 15 now I'm like an old granny i sit at home on a saturday night with my fiancee and watch tv when I should be out partying but college will soon fix that 4laugh i know what it feels like being asked for an id inside the casino *i'm turning 30 this year and waitresses don't bother to ask for my age in elephant bar; meaning i always been given kid's table mat and crayons.*

bussan Me too! I thought I was alone in my suffering. It's so frustrating when you are trying to flirt with guys your own age, and they don't take you seriously because they think you are some high school girl scream !!! I'm 25 also but look around 17 or 18. I've cut my hair very short and even wear glasses to make myself look older, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I even got carded for the second Matrix movie my junior year in college. Nobody believed I was 17 until I managed to find my college ID! It would have been funny except the line behind me was two blocks long. Someday, I suppose it will be a good thing. I'll be one of those foxy 40 year-olds who can still pick up college guys 3nodding i'm turning 30 and boys at ages 12-18 have crushes on me...

I'll be 23 soon, and I still get offered children's menus at restaurants. Carding's a huge pain too, because I dyed my hair since I got my licence - those that card me honestly spend a few minutes glancing back and forth between me and my ID before they let me into bars or give me a drink.

I must say when I was 12 most people thought I was 18 because I was so talk for my age. But now I think it is great that everyone thinks I am in college and abour 26 -29...I at least dont look in my teens...Althought I find that most my daughters teen friend love to hang with me...They say I am the cool mom... I am actually 38 years old. I just recently attened my 20 year class reunion and I didn't think I looked all that much younger than my real age until I looked at my fellow classmate. I was shocked to see so much gray hair or no hair...and wrinkles too...wow I use to think people we messing with me when they said I looked 26 but if they are comparing me to most of my classmates I now can see why they are saying it. I dont mean to be mean but alot of them look in their mid 40's...But then I dont smoke or drink and I haven't did alot of the things they have done to age their bodies.

With Pictures very few make me look younger than I am, unless light make up is on, but if met in real life, I have been asked if I was 10, just with my hair in a ponytail, and baggy shirt over flares, last time I was asked that was like 3 weeks ago, "Hello I'm too tall to be 10 sir", the guy looked to me and said "you're under 5'7, the right height for any healthy 10 year old, now off and find your mommy, and take your Grandma too" he walked off and I was pissed, I turned to him and shouted "That isn't my Grandma!! She IS my mom!!" he looked blood red and ran, I mean come on, My mom doesn't look that old...*looks at her*Umm I take that back, she looks 60s to 70s though she is like 55, and me? I look that age, but if I wear my skirt and tank top, I can look 26, though I'm 21, though at times, I have been asked rude questions and the people not only got slapped, and sprayed with pepper spray but also the police were on their tails, one couple, well two guys (not Gay), came up to my friend and I, they asked if I wanted to play, I told them no, they grabbed us "Come on, not you, you're friend, we don't play with those of 15" I looked at them "Exuse me! I'm 21 just like her" they poked my breasts and said "Only 15 year olds have your size" they ran off yelling as I hit them, sprayed them and my friend called the cops sweatdrop sweatdrop I love how I can change my age with looks, but that was too far

29 since june and just the other day someone said I was 24. Still getting id'd at beer store and you only have to be 19 here, lol. I don't even really drink, haha. I go to get booze like 5 times a year and 3 times guranteed to be asked for id. I also never learned to dress very adult like anyways, lol. Still have my skateboard in hand half the time too, hehe. I do look years younger than I am though. everyone is always suprised to learn my true age. Ahh, middle age will be sweet like this.

I'm a guy, just had to get that out of the way so that this next statement doesn't sound weird(being that my avi is female). My beard makes me look a few years older (I've gotten a comment that I looked 30, though) and when I shave it off I look my age. I'm 22 and it does feel good to be mistaken for someone younger, when it does happen.

I get so annoyed when people don't believe I'm 22.they all think I'm like 16 or 17.I got into an argument with my friend's uncle the one day cause he asked how old i was I'm like I'm 22.Hes like no seriously how old are you?I'm like seriously I'm 22.Hes like you're 17 quit lying.finally when he wouldn't believe me i had to pull out my id and show him. Like totally nobody believes it unless they see my id,even then some think its fake.My one friend tells me it cause I don't drink or smoke.I'm like maybe I should start so I can look my age. Then he told me not to which is funny cause he'd been telling me i should come for drinks sometime for awhile.now I'm told not to cause it'll age me faster.

when i was younger (6-8 grade) most people said i looked older, especially when i got dressed up. now i dont get out as much so i dont really have anything to compare it to. ...and anime cons (my twice a year big events) are a bad example for age comparison cuz theres an unbelievable amount legal LOOKING jail bait that attend. ;>_>
