I never said liking it makes you a brat. More like, putting it on the same level with good stuff does.

Like comparing SNL of today and saying it's just as good as the SNL of its origin. It's not. Hands down.

This is a thread about the good-ol days. We talk about old things, look old, and sound old. Because things were better when we were old (except the new technology. That stuff's cool).

By stating new stuff that tries and fails to be old-friendly, you completely ruin the mood.

Most cartoons today are crap though.. full of a bunch of lewd junk and fart jokes apparently don't get old. o_O What happened to all the awesome Disney stuff like Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers?

The only good "cartoons" anymore is anime. XD

Are you kidding me?

Go watch Adult Swim on cartoon network. Best cartoons today by far.

The Venture Bros.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force...

ooh so many...

I've seen those actually.. and yeah... no thanks.

THE OLD CARTOONS FROM THE 60'S AND 70'S. come on guys!

Johnny Quest...all that good stuff!

Actually I do have a sense of humor.. it just does not encompass this stuff of which you speak.

Yugioh the Abridged Series... now THAT is funny... Venture Brothers and Aqua Teen Hunger Force or whatever, is just junk.

I miss Gargoyles, The Tick, 2 Stupid Dogs, The Maxx (on Mtv back in the day), Speed Racer (only because the dubbing was SO bad it was hilarious) ect. My daughter watches a new show on Cartoon Network that blows my mind called 'The Misadventures of Flapjack'.

I have a Japanese Mach Go Go Go ("Speed Racer") DVD set, and I must say it's a GREAT show WITHOUT all the run-on sentences and poorly-done dubbing.

Go ahead and hate me for saying that good voiceovers don't subtract from the show.

I loved My little Pony, the Gummy Bears, Care Bears, Rocko's Modern Life and the original Rugrats. Shows nowadays don't really teach morals, and if they do, they don't make them clear enough for little kids. Yeah, Blue's Clues, Wonder Pets and shows like that aimed at Preschoolers do, but what about older kids? It needs to be reinforced. RANT RANT RANT.

I had a couple of fave cartoons as a kid; which included...

Jem
Thundercats
The Real Ghostbusters
Astroboy (not the original black and whites from the 60's; but the remake of the 80's).
Lady Lovely Locks
The Smurfs
The Littles (those still play in syndication; which makes me laugh, seeing as I can't figure out what I found so fun about them).
Captain Planet (God, help me!) ::shudders::

Those are the only ones that come immediately to mind - though I'm sure there's more.
