Dmitri continued to hover overhead, a dark glint in the burst of the sun, he cast a long shadow down along the quidditch pitch as the game picked up pace and the chasers ruthlessly stole back and forth. He hadn't even noticed the bludger that Yvonne had hurled his way, he was too distracted by the bludger aimed at Sata. Just as he moved to react, however, that bludger blackened his view as it shot right in his face, and with barely enough time to raise both arms to soften the blow. And without even a second thought, aimed to hurl that bludger right back at Yvie.

Camila had remained on the defensive, sticking to her formations, and for the most part, letting the youngest chasers duke it out amongst themselves. She knew it wasn't really fair for them, if she and Ashley were to aggressively try to steal. He must have felt the same way, or more likely, was just watching the players, like a vice captain should be doing. So what if a part of her was just being lazy? She'd shape up for the second scrimmage, anyway. But for now, she figured she ought to do something and swooped down to steal from Devonte.

She popped that red ball right out of his grasp and tucked it underneath her arm. Waving apologetically, Camila twisted around to carve her own path to the goal posts, hoping to avoid the steal and bludgeon attempts as they come throttling her way.

Mira was glad both their earlier hits hit their mark. However now Yvonne was in trouble since a bludger was hurled her way. Quickly speeding over Mira attempted to protect her older teammate. She wanted to keep her in the game as long as she could. Plus making up for her failed save last time would be nice and with some luck maybe she could send it back at her captain.

___ The quaffle jumped back and forth, and for a while, it seemed like Devonte was going to reach the goal posts for a chance at scoring. Instead, he was stolen from by a brunette chaser. She turned and pivoted, and Louie urged his broom faster to catch her trail. As soon as Devonte tried for a steal, and missed, Louie swooped down to try his hand at snatching the quaffle away from Camila.

She reacted quickly, zigzagged across the field to avoid both chasers as they chased her down. She managed to keep her hold on the red ball, she hugged it to her chest to switch hands, keeping her left over the quaffle and her right on the handle. She leaned in close to her broom and sped on for the goals.

She didn't know how she managed to keep the quaffle. That first year had gotten so close, she could feel the wind scathe her cheeks as he burst right past her but was forced to pull back. She tossed a surprised glance over her shoulder to watch him go as she hurried into the scoring zone and anchored the quaffle over her shoulder before propelling it forward into the left hoop.

As Camila reached the goals and shot the quaffle towards the hoops, Benjamin flew forward reaching out hoping to manage another block instead of a miss (even though he'd like to point out it was barely one) with Kenny's score.

Benjamin sighed as he flat out misjudged the shot and shaking his head retrieved the quaffle and decided to toss the quaffle to Devonte. He really needed to get back to focusing, or maybe he was just bad... but heaven forbid that thought. Benjmain didn't mind thinking he was lazy but downright bad at something... yuck!

He caught the ball as it was tossed to him, turning around to head towards the goals again.

Dmitri pressed two fingers against his bottom lip, whistling sharply to catch the players attentions. He waved them down, and plucked his wand from its holster strapped against his forearm and hidden under his sleeve. A quick flurry summoned the balls and he jumped off his broom in time to collect the balls and store them in their chests for now. He gestured to a satchel of water bottles and healing potions and loudly announced, ”Gather 'round team, take a few minutes to catch your breath, there's water and a few simple healing potions if you've been bludgeoned. In a few minutes, I'll sort the teams out for the second scrimmage.”

When it was time to get back in the sky, Dmitri blew another high pitched whistle. ”Now, the three seekers, Lowery, Addario, and Lillantine, you're up to chase the snitch. The chasers will more or less stay the same, Yaxley and Bannister on green, and Rojas and Snow will be on silver. Moreau, you'll stay on green, and Mitchell, you'll be on silver now. I'll just be watching this time around, and I'll try to help block bludgers when I can. Rules the same, use half the pitch and return to midfield, beaters, the seeker's are off limits. Now, up in positions,” Dmitri waited for the players to situate themselves, then released the snitch, the bludgers, and finally, the toss up for the quaffle.

Once Devonte had heard the call down for a break, he was almost relieved. He could barely play at this point, and he hoped that a much needed break could relieve that. He took a seat on the ground, grabbing a healing potion and gulping it down quickly before setting it down, keeping himself seated for a couple more minutes. Once he felt more like himself, he stood up, stretching out his arms and legs and took to the sky, diving for the quaffle once it was released.
