Sirius was silent for a while after he landed. "What did you mean when you said that I should add a few more scars since I liked them so much?" His voice was hard, a failed attempt of hiding his hurt, confusion, and frustration.

Remus frowned and shrugged. "Siri not all of these scars are from my transformations. Most of them aren't. My father would beat me and cut me so everybody would know that I'm messed up, that I'm damaged. And all my life I've just lived with that idea in my head so everytime somebody did something, anything to buy into that thought I just took it as that's how they saw me." Remus chuckled and looked away. "Somehow strange as it seems it's just easier to accept people hating the way I look. Love is scary."

"I know that, Remus. I know that most of these scars have a more horrible history than just transforming. They don't mean you're messed up. You're listening to the words of another arsehole again. I think they make you beautiful because you've overcome so much despite what your old man told you. They symbolize who you are, who you came to be, Remus." Sirius sighed and leaned against the earthen wall behind him, running a hand through his hair. "Love is scary, Remus, but I don't want you to think that being hated is easier. Hate... Hate hurts much more than love does."

Remus sat down on the floor and hugged his knees. "I know. I know. But...It's hard to change. I've seen myself this way for so long. I mean I'm so happy that you love me, don't mistake that." He reached across the tunnle and grabbed Sirius' hand. "Sit with me?" He looked up at Sirius.

Sirius sighed again and flopped down next to Remus. "That hurt my feelings, you know. That you would think I could do something like that to someone I love so much..." Sirius shook his head. "It makes me sick to even think about someone else forming those scars, let alone thinking about doing that myself."

Remus frowned. "I'm sorry Siri. I was just being melodramatic. I didn't think you'd ever hurt me." He rested his head on Sirius' shoulder. "Can you forgive me?"

"Of course I forgive you, Remy-love," Sirius sighed. He ruffled Remus's hair lightly and kissed his temple.

Remus smiled. "Thank you." He kissed Sirius' neck. "AndI'm sorry that I made such a big deal about my scars. I'll try and learn to just accept them and accept that you love them." He nuzzled Sirius.

Sirius smiled and kissed him gently. "I'm sorry I upset you, Love. And if you ever run off like that again..." he added half serious, half teasing. "I love you, Remus. I want you to be comfortable around me, okay?"

Remus kissed him back. Remus nodded to him. "I'll try to be. But as I said it's hard to change. I've been unconfertable in my skin and around people for so long. But you have always been the person I've been most comfertable with. I really love you."

Sirius smiled. "All right. Come here then." Without waiting for a response, Sirius pulled Remus into his lap so that Remus was facing him and kissed him deeply.

Remus smiled and kissed him back just as deeply and passionately. He was still smiling when the kiss broke. He ran his fingers through Sirius' hair. "I'm so lucky to have you."
