*he turns in time to see the flames spread across the cover of the book and reach into the frail dry pages before he has time to react from the shock and surprise*

*She reaches into her robes and reveals a page that is ripped slightly on the edges.*

He keeps walking as if he put nothing down until he reaches the far end of the room. At which point he sits down out of clear sight, unfolds a scrap of paper with black and white squares on a grid and slowly adds letters to the various spaces.*

*she picks up the bottle of ink curiously then walks after him, finally catching up* Francis what is this? And Angil you fool! You burned the book?! Ah well I suppose no more evil can come from it now.
