 "If we head for the future..."

"...Then we can be forgiven for the past." Kazu nodded at his old leaders words. He mumbled under his breath, "Sounds like your UltimateChaosmon... You used it on these very mountains not too long ago." Kazu's mind flew back almost two years to the great battle here. He wondered if Phoenixmon still nested in this area. Hearing Dax's Digimon's sniggers Kazu gets to his feet. "Please, I'm not going to be scared by Dax's Digimon. I've worked with him before. I may have been a novice back then but I've grown since then." Kazu Walked a little towards the pair and rubbed his head awkwardly. "Dax is one of the strongest Tamers I know. To have gotten anmesia is really bad. Especially with current events. The only thing we can do is try to coax him back or start afresh..."Kazu sighed and smiled warmly at the two Digimon, he didn't blame them for not trusting his group, after all what reason did they have to? He turned back to Dax and held out a hand. "Hey. Dax. I don't know if you remember me or not, certianly seems to be the latter. Allow me to re-introduce myself. The name's Kazu. Kazu Matsumoto. You saved my life a long time ago and for that I'm going to try my hardest to help you regain your memories." hoping Dax would take his hand Kazu pointed to a rock that looked out over the whole expanse of the mountains, from here you could see the gear savannah, a jungle, forests and lakes and, if you squinted hard enough against the light, the vauge outlines of cities. "Come chat with me bro, I'll try to explain as best I can."Turning to Kauz, Brian and the others Kazu quickly and quietly motioned to the cave. "It's getting late, if you're staying with us I'd suggest Kauz's cave, I'll be in momentarily so we can make a plan and figure out what to do." Looking right at Brian Kazu nodded, "Brian I'm leaving you in charge of keeping these guys safe. They seem a little whet-behind-the-ears to me, and I don't want more blood on my hands." with a weary smile he turned back to Dax.

 "So what if you can see the darkest side of me" Dakota "Dax" Taara "No one will ever change this animal I have become" Veemon and Lunamon exchanged nervous glances. Veemon nodded and said, "I actually remember you, Kazu, but...Dax has gotten a lot of new enemies lately..." he said rather awkwardly. Dax turned his head to Vee. "New enemies? Why? Am I a baddie?" he asked with a tinge of fear to the answer. Lunamon and Veemon, once again, looked at eachother awkwardly before Veemon started to answer, "Well...Dakota, you see-" he was quickly cut off by Lunamon, "You were a very good person. You were insistent on helping people all the time, so baddies usually got mad at you."Before Dax could respond, his digivice began rattling dramatically. Data started forming in the air as a Bantyleomon emerged from his digivice next to him.
Dax was freaked out enough to grab onto Kazu's hand, leap up, and hide behind him. "Dude, I don't know if you know, but theres a walking lion with a stalker coat on next to us" Dax said fastly, as if Bantyleomon would strike him down and prevent him from finishing his sentence. Bantyleomon, however, let out a hardy laugh and said, "Dakota, I'm not your only Bantyleomon. Bearmon also digivolves into a Bantyleomon at the end of his line. He ends up DNA'ing with Darkdramon to Chaosmon. I, however, digivolve directly to Ultimatechaosmon, since the others who originally did it with me gave me part of their digisouls." His voice was deep and had a thick accent of who the hell knows what.Bantyleomon sort of stared at Dax until the silence was broken with Dax exclaiming, "YOU TURN INTO THAT THING!?" And then it was sort of awkward

"Mostly," Gabumon told Dragord, turning to look at the Digimon before pointing at Dax and then Lunamon and Veemon, "He's got amnesia and these two keep cutting eachother off." Looking back at the Veemon and Lunamon, it seemed like they couldn't just stop interrupting one another every few minutes. Brian watched the two Digimon fight, catching the name of the Digimon Dax fell off of before the two began to get into a hotly debated argument it seemed. 'Who in their right mind uses UltimateChaosmon?' Brian wondered to himself, feeling a tug on his arm as Gabumon directed Brian's attention to Kazu. "Don't worry, they safe," Brian assured Kazu, turning back to the Veemon and Lunamon.
Well, if he was in charge of protection detail, then he'd have to bring out Gear since he didn't sleep much, if at all. Plus, Gear's Darkness Gear attack would be perfect to deter Digimon if they were attacked in the night. "Gear, realive!" Brian said, data forming beside him as Gear materialized. He didn't need to know what he needed to do since he'd heard mostly everything from the Digivice iC.
Looking at Veemon and Lunamon again, Brian couldn't help but notice their nervous glances at eachother before saying something towards Kazu. "Come on," Brian told them, "We need go inside cave before become too dark out." There wasn't too much light out and it was becoming more and more difficult for him to see anyone's lips.

 ~*Mike====Dragord*~ "Good to know" Dragord said, hearing Gabumon's answer. Both he and Mike heard what Kazu said and decided to retreat to the cave for now. Mike hated to depend on others, but as it was state before, Kazu was right. He is inexperienced in battle... and the way he sounded... it seems that he had witnessed other people's deaths, which wasn't a good sign. "It seems I don't have any choice... let's go inside, Dragord" Mike commanded his partner. "Sure... by the way, with all this darkness, will Brian be okay?" Dragord asked to Mike, something that Mike had completely forget about. Brian and Kazu were probably the strongest among the group, but Brian being deaf will seriously limited his communication with the others. "It's okay, as long as we stay together" Mike said, once again, hating to speak like that. 'Together....' that word wasn't exactly common in his vocabulary at all, he only use it to refer to him and Dragord, but unfortunately the situation had changed drastically.

"Hey what's going on?" Gigimon asked, poking Thomas' head. "Don't know. Not really my business to know." He replied. He stayed behind with Dragord and watched everything o on, but it had hardly registered. None of this really had anything to do with Thomas, just this Dax fellow that they'd found and were talking to. All Thomas did was try to piece together what had happened before he got here. He was interrupted, however, by Mike and Dragord walking off. "Hey, they're leaving us! Go, go!" Gigimon yelled. "I'm going, I'm going." Thomas said as he caught up to them.

Having reached the base of this majestic mountain, Marcus stepped forward towards the vast jungle ahead of him. He stopped for a moment to allow the lagging Gaomon and caboose of Leomon to catch up before heading inward. The digitamamon was doing well to keep pace with the tamer, seeing him as a bit of a rival as they were, in a way, one in the same. He stopped for a moment and looked back at the mountain.
"You may not remember this, but we were hear not so long ago."
"Of course I remember, how could I not." The tamer would turn as well why they waited. "If anything, your hold over my personality was no where near as... present." He could remember it like it was yesterday, He, Yevon, Marik, and Siegfried taking on the very tamers that he'd soon be forced to hunt down again. He also remembered that this was also when he ran into Chris again and the bittersweet reunion that was to come, followed by a never ending cycle of mind-screwing and enough side changing to make the lines between good and evil a bit of a blur. He never intended to scar Chris the way he did, but it just sort of happened that way. Maybe it was fate...
Gaomon and Leomon finally caught up and began to wonder what Marcus and Arakune had been talking about this time. This was a question that would not receive an answer as both exited into the lush green of the Tropical Jungle.

Sho and Garurumon headed for the cave with everyone else, Sho didn't know what else to do but he didn't really want to be inside a cramped cave with so many other people. After arriving in the cave Sho sat in the same corner as before, in all honesty he was quite tired but he still needed to listen to Kazu's conversation so he could learn more about powerful tamers.
Garurumon saw Sho's comfortableness and lay down in front of him to distance him from everyone else in the cave, he hadn't been expecting so many people to turn up in the file mountains but every cloud has a silver lining, and this silver lining is that while everyone else were engulfed in their conversations, Garurumon and Sho could listen and learn more about the situation that the digital world is in.

Following behind Mike and Dragord, Thomas soon spotted a cave up ahead. He was able to make out someone just at the entrance, giving him good reason to run up to the it. Once inside he noticed a Tentomon making food, a tamer and his Garurumon resting, and another tamer lighting torches. "Got room for 4 more?" Thomas looked back at Mike and Dragord.

"Sweet, thanks!" Thomas said cheerfully, going towards Tentomon and the soup. He wasn't big on turnips, but he was hungry and needed to keep his strength up. Gigimon jumped form Thomas' head and plopped near the blankets, nuzzling himself in the center of one. "Aw, it's so much better than sleeping on grass." He said.

Thomas gratefully took the bowls of soup from Tentomon, putting Gigimons' bowl in front of him. "Oh, I'm Thomas." He said in a friendly voice. He took a sip of the soup, his stomach groaning from the fact he was actually eating. "And this here is Gigimon." He aid, pointing to the digimon who was slurping the soup up.

For about a month "Real" and Elemon had been lost in the digimon and somehow ended up in the File Mountains. Darkness had cover the land and with no where to go Real and Elecmon found a spot where 4 trees stood tall in a square shape. The trees were so close that their branches covered the sky, protecting them from rain. After building a fire, Real cooked some fish that they caught earlier that day.
Sooooo...... How long until we can eat Elecmon asked.
"Real" gave him a sharp glaze and threw a hammer at Elecmons head.You mean the same way you ate all the berries on ever bush that we past on the way here he scolded. Rolling onto his back Elecmon began rubbing his stomach BUT THAT WAS HOURS AGO he cried......... and besides that was during the walk over here so it was burned off. Real shook his head and continued to cook the fish.

For hours Michelle had been walking in the dark with Biyomon. They had nowhere to go and it felt as if they had been going in circles. Both of them were hungry, and poor Biyomon had flown so much that Michelle carried her the rest of the way. Don't worry Biyomon we will find you a nice place to rest. Just then she noticed a light in the distance. Could it be she asked moving closer to the light. It was very faint but by the way it flickered she could tell that it was a campfire. Other humans she wondered to herself. Soon she would start to smell something cooking causing her and biyomon's stomachs to growl.
