basically Aang uses some deus ex machina thing to take the fire lords fire bending away instead of killing him

and then everyone gets paired up and then bam the ending


honestly it's a pretty weak ending for all the build up



but as far as Korra goes, they explain eeeevereeerrrything from the setting, to bending, to characters to the offspring of characters. so..you really dont need to know anything specific to go into korra and enjoy it
