There's even a "bonus years" trade in Makai, as shinigami can transfer the extra life to others.

Reaper is just one thing I am. My parents were both of mixed Makai race heritage, so I am a lot of things... as are most Makaijin.

Tho Makaijin ceased thinking of themselves in terms or race, very few Makaijin are of pure heritage and those few are usually the weakest and shortest-lived with the exception of vampires and shinigami.
