True Colours of Destiny Calixti True Colours of Destiny Our school has several Christian organizations. The one I joined is the more liberal one, while the Crusaders are generally the more conservative ones. Which leads my bisexual friend, helping out the Gay organization with their booth on club day, who has a disdain for Christians in general, to go to the registration desk, which is right in front of the Crusaders booth. He then, as he told me, emphasized that he was representing the gay club, showed the icon to both parties, and gave a grin to the Crusaders. rofl We've got a few too. The Crusaders, of course, one for GLBTQ students (plus a QSA! whee ), and I think one other, but I'd have to check. From what I hear, the one for GLBTQ students is pretty cool but I've never been. And of course, the Crusaders are the crazies. They'd be fun to mock if they weren't actually taken seriously by people. Technically, if you go to their site, they shouldn't be calling themselves Campus Crusaders for Christ. All of them are connected and the major governing body said we shalt change our name. That's what they're still listed as on the Student Involvement website.
And I severely underestimated the number of Christian groups on campus. There's TWENTY-FOUR, twenty-five if you count the Baha'i student group, AND a Christian sorority. Wait, twenty-six, because the GLBTQ one wasn't listed.

Omigawd!
<3 I came up with the coolest idea.
I got reaalllyy bored of a normal pair of jeans I owned.
I ADORE vintage clothing, and I decided it would be reallyy cool to turn my pants vintage.
So! I whipped up a batch of coffee, and saved the grinds. I rubbed them all over the jeans, giving them a cool, old-fashioned vintage look, then poured the coffee on them and I'm letting them sit overnight. Tomorrow, I'll toss them in the dryer! And then paint the fastenings and buttons bronze/brass and I'll have a really cool pair of steampunk pants! Oh, plus I mixed in some brown paint with the coffee so the stain won't come off easily, and I can wash them without it all wearing off.
XD And from rubbing the coffee in, I exfoliated my hands.. the skin is SO smooth, now. So I had the idea of mixing coffee grinds&& olive oil as an exfoliate to use in the shower; imagine the smooth skin I'd have!
Plus, I'm working on making a mini top hat out of cardboard, fabric, and some decorations to add to it.
;D I love making crafts&&recipes so if you guys want instructions for anything I make, or pics, ask and I'll post them!

whiporwill-o Celeblin Galadeneryn Nope. After tasting it I'm almost sure it's rubus occidentalis, the black raspberry, since it's very dark red near black in in colour and tastes neither like a red raspberry or a blackberry, which is a characteristic of the black raspberry. interesting, i have never had a black raspberry... or a red one for that matter sweatdrop good luck with your jams and... ice cream topping.... wow peaches over vanilla sounds really good right now, lol. Black rasberries are the best, well Yellow rasberries are the best but they're nearly impossible to find and hard to grow, so black rasberreis take the lead. I think it's ridiculous that you can't get black rasberries at a store, I had to go all the way to my parents and crawl through the woods just to get to a patch this year.

Ours has a big international base, so we have tons of students from Asia. I think they're the only thing that prevent ever religious organization on campus being Christian.
There 10 Christian Clubs, 3 Islam Clubs, a Baha'i group, a Buddhist group, a Hindu group (which unfortunately, I won't be joining due to the nature of how they run said group), and an atheist group. ninja

We've got a single atheist group, a Pagan group, a Jewish group, and a Muslim group. Nothing Buddhist or Hindu-oriented though. I've looked at the Pagan group's website and it makes me gonk which sucks because a friend of mine is apparently the president. emo

We didn't even have those on campus. We had about 12 Christian groups, a Islam group, and a "pagan" group. And our campus had over 40,000 people.

^^ The pants came out awesome! I am wearing them riigghhttt now. They look really vintage. ;D *excited*
XD And I smell like I work at Starbucks now.
=o I'm working on one of the tophats right now. I'm making my brother a giant top hat, and a monocle, so he can wear a tux and be The Penguin [from Batman] for Halloween. ;D
So far so good, though I've only done the beginning steps. I need to make the rim of the hat, still, and then put the fabric [I went and picked up black cotton cloth for this.. It's actually quite nice] on each part before attaching them. After all that, I only have to worry about decorating it! I chose a nice red satin ribbon for the hat. Then I'm going to make a wire frame, spray paint it gold, and make a chain for the monocle. Still don't know what I'll do for the lens, though. Plastic wrap, maybe.
And I'm not sure what I'm going to be for halloween yet, but I think I'll make myself a minitop hat and spray paint it gold. And maybe put some cogs && gears and stuff on it, and make it some cool steampunk thing. ;D
