Lan smiled a little in Kane's arms and listened to his steady heart beat. Then he looked up and his eyes widened with a smile. "K-kane, look at your back" as Kane turned aroung and saw a pair of white feathered wings were slowly growing from his back.

"Oh no," Kane gasped. "No, this isn't supposed to be happening." He touched the wings to make sure they were really there. "Lan, remember what I told you happens to fallen angels? Heaven won't let this happen. They'll come back to rip them off!"

Lan shook his head and gently petted Kane's face. "Th-they can't......because i've made you an angel" he said with a whisper.

Kane's eyes began to water as he took Lan's hands. " I hate to say this, but the Mandate of Heaven is stronger. If they find out they'll come and rip these off. I'm not afraid, but..." he gave a sigh, "but I guess I actually am." Kane's heart sank as he thought of how aweful it would be. He grimaced. Suddenly, his heart began to tense. "Ah!" He grabbed at his chest and bent over in pain. "Lan! You have to find out what's happening. It's happening again. I can't..." and with that, Kane fell over into the pillows.

"Kane!" Lan tried to scream as he pulled himself over ontop of Kane. He leaned his head down and listened to Kane's heartbeat.

Kane's heartbeat was slightly elevated from the shock. 'Not again. Lan gave so much to heal me...he can't do it again...' Kane began to become angry. 'Why is this happening!? What did I do?'

Lan cried louder as Kane lay there, his love almost unconcious. "Wh-what do I do?"

As Kane was freaking out and Lan was crying, a blue light appeared in the middle of the room. "You two never make things easy for yourselvees, do you?" Fate floated down from nowehere and looked at the boys with annoyance. "First you destroy the future and my beautiful view from my Mirror, and now you go and try to defy Heaven's will. I'm afraid I have come to do my job. I am to rip the wings from this undeserving devil." Cracking her knukles, she said seriously to Lan, "Do not interfere. I would rue having to destroy you for something so trivial. You may be the angel of death, and I respect that, but I must do my job."

Lan looked with horrified eyes at Fate. "Please no.....I-Is that why this is happening?" he said as tears flowed down his cheeks. He gently petted Kane's cheek as he whimpered and shook his head.

Fate gave Lan a curious glance. "It is why I am here. Other than that, I have no idea what you mean." Looking at Kane sprawled motionless on the bed, she asked with slight hesitation, "Has something else happened?"

"H-he just.....passed out or something....his heartbeat was way to fast and I had to give him almost all of my angel mana......d-don't rip his wings off" Lan pleaded as he held his lover is his arms, petting his smooth soft skin.

Gatsu was sitting in a wally, slowly eating on an old fishbone, moving it side to side as he ate on it, then he was a strange light from one of the houses he had been keeping an eye on, his ears moving up to see it he could hear some sounds, the tail swayin back and fourth

Fate thought to herself, "Hmm..." as she gazed intently at the two boys. "Well, it would be rude and innapropriate for me to rip his wings off while he's unconcious, and if he is afflicted with something that is causing this, it is my job to insure he is healed. Unfortunately, I am not a doctor. I know nothing of medicine. Take him to someone who knows something about healing. I'll give you three days. Get it done by then, or I'll rip off his wings off as he is." And with that, she disappeared much in the same way she had come.

Lan cried and held Kane close to him as he stroked his hair. He looked painfully at the new pair of wings on Kane's back. "I'm sorry.......So sorry...." he said rocking back and forth. Suddenly, he heard a noise and his ears perked. Wipping around, he drew his sword and grabbed the stranger, holding his sword against his throat. "Who are you?"
